About Jillian

Hello! My name is Jillian (Jill is fine, too!) I am a Certified Birth Doula in the Metro Detroit area. Becoming a birth doula felt natural to me because I have always loved everything about birth and the strength that comes with bringing a baby into the world. Along with being a doula, I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist, which allows me to bring both physical comfort and emotional care into your birth experience. My goal is simple- to be there for you in the way you need the most. No matter what your birth plan looks like, I will walk alongside you without judgement- whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, epidural, induction, cesarean, or if things shift along the way. You deserve to feel safe, heard, and cared for throughout your entire experience. I want every mother and family I work with to feel at ease being themselves and confident in their choices. Birth is beautiful, but it can also be intense, emotional, and deeply empowering- sometimes all at once! It is an honor for me to be present with you through such a meaningful moment in your life. When I'm not caring for families, I am spending time with my two boys. We love going on adventures together and making memories whenever we can. Motherhood has given me such a deep appreciation for the journey of pregnancy, birth, and raising children. My boys play a huge role in why I care so deeply about the families I am working with.

Birth Doula packages and pricing

Birth

I currently accept Medicaid insurance, which includes 12 prenatal/postpartum visits, plus your birth. I will accompany you and your family while you are in labor all the way through delivery. I will stay with you for 2 hours after baby is born and will assist with the first feeding (if desired.) I also accept cash pay clients for a fixed payment of $1500 per birth.

What to expect

As a Birth Doula, I provide compassionate, continuous support throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. My role is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident as you navigate this transformative experience! I offer personalized guidance as you prepare for birth, including helping you explore your options, creating a birth plan that reflects your values, and building comfort techniques for labor. During labor and delivery, I remain by your side to provide steady emotional reassurance, physical comfort measures, and advocacy support so you feel heard and respected in every moment. I also support your partner, helping them feel included and confident in their role as well. My goal is to create a calm and empowering environment where you can focus on your strength, your choices, and welcoming your baby to the world.
