Hi! My name is Rebeca Gedeon and I am a certified birth doula located in Weatherford, TX. I love supporting moms in all labor and delivery locations, and with any kind of provider. My first experience with birth was when my mom delivered my brother under the supervision of a traditional midwife over 24 years ago. I have since had 6 children of my own, and those labors and deliveries fueled my passion for supporting moms. I have personal experience with twins and NICU. I have supported moms through their dream births as well as birth plans that needed adjustment for medically necessary reasons. I found my way to being a doula after the birth of my second baby. Though my pregnancy and birth were perfectly planned and perfectly played out, I had nothing setup and prepared for postpartum. Two days after I gave birth I was up making myself breakfast, getting my oldest off to school, and driving myself and new baby to his first pediatric appointment. I felt alone and isolated. Many days I would just cry from being overwhelmed. I told my doula and lactation consultant that as soon as I was healed I would train to be a postpartum doula so that no other families nor mom would have to suffer in silence. Now, as a birth and postpartum doula, I get to make sure that moms can have the birth they want, and a peaceful, sustainable life after their sweet baby has arrived.
