First baby, planning a hospital birth as unmedicated and natural as possible in Alexandria La at Cabrini Hospital. I’d like to avoid getting an epidural if possible, using other alternatives. I’d like to delay cord clamping and be able to move around during birth. I’d also like to avoid being induced if possible to avoid a C-section and hopefully plan for a natural birth. I have a very small budget and am hoping insurance can help me pay for services.

Deep into my faith (Catholic). I am a [personal details hidden]. Very health conscious and this has been to a fault in the past. [personal details hidden] and though I was never diagnosed, [personal details hidden]. Last October I was [personal details hidden] (after a lot of prayer), and it miraculously changed my life. No doubt the medical tool God used to induce fertility. [personal details hidden] (and am apprehensive about that). Extremely supportive husband (newlywed) and parents who live close. I desire as natural of a birth as possible (drinking from a fire hose right now trying to learn about all the does and donts). I want as much support as possible given my condition. I have not met with OB yet. I was recommended [name hidden] at West Bank Oschner. But we are still open to other suggestions as we are 1 hr away from there. We live in Hammond. My naturopath recommended the birthing center near women’s in Baton Rouge. But I know I for sure need a qualified OB preferably with holistic mindset. Depending on who I find and preferably there is close access to a birthing center with pools, that is the birth location. We are in the process of figuring that out. I would like to do a water birth. My appt with [name hidden] is Nov. 5. I plan on asking her advice about my OB situation. I am looking for a doula who will by there for emotional support, who understands type 1 and preferably has experience with type 1 moms or personal experience. I am also looking for someone who can help inform me and advocate for me regarding vaccines, cord clamping, pushing, birthing position, catching, etc. Budget I’m not so sure about. My husband and I are just starting out in career, but fortunately my parents can support if needed.

Hello, this is my first pregnancy. I am 6 weeks and a day. I truly would like to have a home birth, very natural and intimate. I’m looking for a caring team or just a special someone to help with this journey. My requirements are minimum…just want to more educated on childbirth. I don’t have a set budget in mind right now. I am open to hearing some suggestions and i hope i can find that special team or someone.

We have a budget of around $3,000. I am a first time mom so we want to ensure everything goes as we plan if the birth allows as well as having someone experienced who can assist with postpartum care and newborn care afterwards. I’m not sure I even want a hospital birth. I don’t currently have insurance that covers my maternity or baby costs, so I will be self paying for everything. I think I might actually be more comfortable with a midwife that takes care of me at home. I am happy to pay the midwife fee. I’m six weeks today.
