I’m 19 and this is my first baby. I plan on giving birth in my home and having a water birth. I would love someone who can support me before, during, and after birth. My budget is $1500.

My husband and Mom will be there but I’m really wanting a professional to help me and walk me through it because I’ve never had that experience and I’d like to try it out.

I am attempting a VBA2C with no intervention (induction, pitocin, epidural, etc). My first baby was an emergency c-section and my second baby was breach. I have a supportive vbac provider. I will give birth at Ochsner Lafayette General in Lafayette, LA. I currently have LA Blue as my primary insurance and medicaid as secondary.

I did have my first 2 children with no epidural , but with my second I had to be induced and get Pitocin. I really don’t want to have to go through that pain again, especially if I don’t have to. I’m considering a postpartum doula to make the transition home with my first baby more manageable by providing hands-on guidance with newborn care, feeding, soothing, sleep routines, and building confidence. I would also appreciate help with light household tasks, including washing bottles, baby laundry, tidying, preparing simple meals, and maintaining the immediate living space. This support would allow me to focus on healing, resting, and bonding with my baby while receiving reassurance and answers to questions during those important early weeks.

Takes Amerihealth Caritas, understands Catholic morality and ethics, willing to advocate for a vba3c reasonably in a vba2c policy hospital (Thibodaux Regional) so long as labor is progressing safely. Willing to ask questions to the care provider to ensure all interventions are evidence based and are medically necessary and coercion is not involved.
