About me

Hi! My name is Lindsay Idler, and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the New Jersey and Philadelphia area. Having doula support at the births of my 3 children unlocked my love for all things birth and supporting & empowering women. I believe everyone has a right to a safe, positive birth experience. My practice prioritizes nonjudgmental support, information for informed decision making, and helping moms and families advocate for themselves. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and our sweet dog. I also love a good fire pit, reading, and crocheting.

Service introduction

As a doula, I prioritize compassionate, judgment-free support for expectant mothers and families. I strive to create a safe and understanding space where emotions are validated and individual choices are respected, fostering a sense of security and empowerment. Support, informed care, and advocacy are central to providing quality doula care. I provide both emotional and physical support at your level of comfort and always with your consent. Working together through out your pregnancy creates opportunities to learn about common pregnancy and labor procedures which allows you to make informed decisions. "I am so glad we had Lindsay to lean on during my birth experience. She was able to provide helpful guidance and reassurance before, during, and after labor. My partner was grateful for her assistance with support techniques for me while I was laboring, and we were both glad to have her as a sounding board and a voice of comfort throughout. She also brought items to help create a soothing environment in the hospital room!”

"Lindsay was an absolute God send for my family and I. I needed postpartum help with overnight baby care and Lindsay immediately made me feel at ease. She's natural and very talented with newborns. She provided emotional support to me as well and I am very grateful."

"Would I recommend a doula for birth? Absolutely! Would I recommend Lindsay? A thousand times yes. Lindsay is communicative, knowledgeable, kind. She supported us in many ways - from making sure I had reference materials, to knowing I could message her with any questions, concerns, venting. The only thing I would have done different would be getting a doula sooner. I would 100% rate Lindsay a 10/10."
