Hi, I’m Melinda Nicole, the woman behind I AM Nurse Melinda, better known as The BabieLadie®. I am a Virginia Certified Doula, Lactation Specialist, Birth Educator, and Registered Nurse with a deep passion for supporting mothers and families throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys. My work is rooted in education, advocacy, compassion, and helping families feel informed and confident as they make decisions about their care. I believe every mother deserves to feel heard, respected, supported, and empowered. Mother the Mother Virtual Doula
Mother the Mother virtual doula service is designed to support the mother during every step of her pregnancy, birth, and the crucial fourth trimester. As your virtual doula, I will equip you and your labor partner to be empowered for your birth and beyond. ~1-1 hour Birth plan strategy session by FaceTime or Zoom ~3- 90-minute prenatal care meetings to discuss your pregnancy progression, learn commonly used medical terminology spoken during labor, practice birth techniques and labor positions for you and your labor partner, discuss signs and symptoms of postpartum blues, explore options for safe and practical baby/nursery accessories, and answer any questions you have about your labor, birth, and beyond by FaceTime or Zoom ~1- personal 90-minute readiness coaching with your labor partner by FaceTime or Zoom ~1- 30-minute sibling(s) session to prepare your little one for graduation to big brother or sister (if there are no sibling(s), you may add this time to another session by Facetime or Zoom ~Unlimited Text/Email availability for questions- please allow up to 24 hours for me to respond unless marked urgent ~On-Call virtual support during labor and for the first hour after birth by FaceTime or Zoom ~ 2- 1 hour postpartum virtual visits (within the first three weeks) to discuss your fourth trimester by FaceTime or Zoom ~ Up to four 15-minute breastfeeding assistance sessions for the first two weeks postpartum by Facetime or Zoom ~Personalized gift for your new little one ~Peace of mind working with an experienced Doula that is also a nurse and has over a decade of experience equipping families from pregnancy, birth, and beyond * Please check with your employer concerning doula reimbursement.

Nighttime Joy®️ is a personalized, compassionate sleep-support program designed to help families establish healthy sleep habits and create a calmer, more predictable bedtime experience. Using a gentle, individualized approach, I help you understand your baby’s unique sleep needs, create a routine that works for your family, and build confidence as your baby learns new sleep skills.
