The cost of a night nanny in Mount Airy, MD can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Mount Airy, MD, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

We can't thank Gabrielle and Dale enough for the care we received during one of the most important moments of our lives. From the very first call, Gabrielle went above and beyond, she reached out to us personally and, even on short notice, made sure we were matched with a doula in time for our son's birth. That kind of responsiveness and care told us right away we were in good hands. We were paired with Dale, and we truly don't know what we would have done without her. Dale brings decades of experience, and it shows in every piece of advice she gives practical, brutally honest, and exactly what two nervous first-time parents needed to hear. She stayed with my wife through long overnight hours of labor, and when things shifted to a C-section, she was right there with us in the room, just as we'd hoped and planned. Having her steady presence in that moment meant more to us than words can capture. What really set Dale apart, though, was how she showed up for us even after our son was born. In the days that followed, she kept checking in on us and sending along newborn care videos from trusted specialists, little things that made a huge difference as we found our footing as new parents. She also took the time to capture photos of us during the whole process and those very first moments with our son, gifts we'll treasure forever. We will never forget the time we spent with Dale, and we're endlessly grateful to Gabrielle for connecting us with her. If you're looking for a doula practice that truly cares about your family, look no further.

I support parents who want a deeply intentional, holistic postpartum experience that prioritizes healing, nourishment, and emotional support, not just survival. My work centers on helping you feel prepared, rested, and cared for as you recover from birth and bond with your baby. I provide personalized postpartum planning, guidance on physical recovery, newborn care support, and practical help establishing boundaries, rhythms, and sustainable systems at home. Families who work with me value a grounded, intuitive approach to parenthood and want support that honors both the science of postpartum care and the wisdom of the body. What sets my work apart is my holistic training and focus on whole-person healing. I integrate Ayurvedic postpartum principles, offering guidance on warming foods, nourishment for breastfeeding, and practices that support hormonal balance, energy, and recovery. I help parents understand how to nourish their bodies for milk production, rebuild strength after birth, and create a home environment that promotes rest and regulation for both parent and baby. My approach blends trauma-informed emotional support, attachment-focused care, and community-centered values so you feel confident, deeply supported, and truly held during this transformative season.

Siena was a wonderful doula - I highly recommend her! For my second baby, I was trying for a VBAC. My baby was a few days late and I was very worried about having to be induced. Siena gave me so many helpful tips to try to bring on labor and I tried ALL of them. All of that prep work definitely contributed to going into labor, the short labor that I had (less than 3 hours from first contraction to delivery!) and my successful VBAC without an epidural. I had such a radically different experience this birth compared to with my first kid (did not have a doula that time around). And my entire postpartum experience was much improved because the labor was so much different/better. I am very appreciative of Siena's guidance and support throughout the latter weeks of my pregnancy. All of her work with me and my husband definitely helped create that positive experience and I will be forever grateful! Siena has a very calming presence, and I always felt cared-for and prepared after talking to her. She also encouraged me to think about things that I wouldn't have thought of on my own - i.e. how to prepare for the postpartum period. Because my labor was so short, Siena arrived very soon after the baby was born and she helped calm me down and deal with the crazy shakes and nausea that I had, as well as breastfeeding. She immediately assessed the situation and was able to provide things that were really comforting to me, without me even asking - she massaged my feet and put some peppermint oil by my head. And in those quiet moments following delivery, those careful, considerate details will forever be ingrained in my memory of my baby's first minutes in the world!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Taniqua, our postpartum doula (and now, friend), who was a true beacon of support during one of the most transformative times in our lives. From the moment she stepped into our home, it was clear that her expertise and passion for her work were unparalleled. Taniqua’s extensive knowledge was evident in every interaction. She didn’t just care for our newborn with exceptional skill; she took the time to share her insights and experiences with both me and my husband. Whether it was tips on newborn care, feeding support, or just navigating parenthood, her guidance was both practical and reassuring. What truly stood out was how Taniqua made us feel—supported, informed, and empowered. Her presence was a comforting reminder that we weren’t alone in this journey. She was always ready with answers to our questions and offered valuable advice that made a world of difference in our day-to-day lives. We are incredibly grateful for her support and cannot recommend her highly enough to any parents. Thank you, Taniqua, for everything you did for us during this special time!

Erin is an INCREDIBLE gem of a doula. From the moment my husband and I met her, we knew instantly that she was the one. And we were right! First of all, her passion and positive energy are contagious. We accomplished SO MUCH during our first visit. She patiently guided me through various poses to ease discomfort and prepare me for labor, all while getting to know me. By the end of the visit, she had me completely figured out. In my stubborn moments, Erin always had the magic words to get me unstuck. Our dynamic was as though we were old friends. My birth experience was a 3-day induction with lots of highs and lows. Erin was there for ALL of it and kept the same energy throughout. When I felt lazy and wouldn't get out of the bed, she was the birth whisperer. I laugh when I remember how she "tricked" me into dancing and walking to bring on labor and how much I ended up enjoying it. Erin also wisely guided us through the medical team's recommendations and helped us make informed choices. On day 3, she told me we could get the baby out in a few hours if I did what she said, and IT HAPPENED! I had some unforeseen complications after, and she stayed with my husband and baby until I was out of the OR and stabilized. She even met us at home some weeks after to check on me, debrief, and celebrate. Erin is kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about birth. She has a PERMANENT place in my heart and invitation to the cookout. https://doulamatch.net/testimonial/detail/81721

Finding Melissa was one of the greatest gifts during my postpartum recovery. She truly became family to us. From the moment she walked into our home, she brought such a calming, loving presence that immediately put me at ease during one of the most vulnerable times in my life. Not only is she incredible with babies, but she also takes care of moms in a way that is hard to fully put into words. She helped ease my postpartum anxiety, encouraged me constantly, and made me feel supported, capable, and cared for every single day. She celebrated the wins with me, reassured me during the hard moments, and genuinely made my recovery experience so much more positive than I ever imagined it could be. She was amazing with our baby overnight, helped us establish routines, gave us confidence as parents, and somehow always knew exactly what we needed before we even had to ask. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Doula Every Mom Deserves — Kim Is Truly a Godsend I honestly don’t know how I could have navigated this postpartum journey without my doula, Kim. From the moment she entered this experience with me, she has been so much more than a doula—she has been a source of comfort, reassurance, encouragement, and genuine support for me and my entire family. Kim showed up for me at the hospital during labor and stayed right there with me and my husband. She was attentive, present, supportive, and incredibly calm during a time when emotions were high and there were so many things happening at once. She never made me feel like I was bothering her or asking too much. She simply showed up and supported me exactly where I was. And then, after I gave birth, Kim didn’t just disappear. She was waiting at my home to welcome us back. That moment meant so much to me. Postpartum can be such a vulnerable and emotional transition, and having someone there who genuinely cared about how I was doing made a tremendous difference. What I love most about Kim is that she understands that supporting the mother means supporting the whole family. She interacts with my other children, she communicates with my husband, and she makes herself part of our family dynamic in such a natural and respectful way. She doesn’t just focus on the baby—she recognizes that Mom needs care too, and when Mom is cared for, the entire household benefits. Each week after birth, Kim gave me four hours a day, two days a week, and those hours helped me more than I can put into words. Those four hours gave me an opportunity to breathe, regroup, rest, handle things I needed to handle, and simply have someone there who understood that postpartum recovery isn't just physical—it can be emotional, mental, and overwhelming too. I also want to be honest about something because I think it speaks volumes about the kind of person Kim is. There was a period after birth when I was really dysregulated. I was overwhelmed, emotional, exhausted, and trying to communicate with Kim about the times she was offering me. There was a mix-up, and if I'm being completely honest, I was a little spicy. 😂 But Kim never responded with attitude. She never made me feel guilty. She never took my difficult moment personally. She was kind, patient, understanding, and continued to reassure me. At one point, I even pushed her away a little and essentially gave her an opportunity to step back and say, “Okay, maybe this isn't working.” She didn't take it. Instead, Kim reaffirmed that she was going to be by my side. That meant EVERYTHING to me. Because sometimes postpartum isn't pretty. Sometimes you're exhausted. Sometimes you're overwhelmed. Sometimes you don't communicate perfectly. Sometimes you need support while simultaneously feeling like you don't want anybody around you. And Kim understood that. She didn't abandon me in those moments. She continued to show me that her commitment wasn't conditional on me always being easy, happy, or perfectly regulated. She saw me as a whole person and continued to meet me with grace. That kind of support is priceless. And now we're taking it to another level! ❤️ We are officially on our first Mommy + Doula trip with baby, and Kim will be traveling with me for leisure activities once a month. That says a lot about the relationship and trust we've built. She has become someone I feel comfortable having alongside me not only during the difficult moments, but during the beautiful ones too. Kim has become part of my village. She has supported me as a mother, supported my children, supported my husband, and most importantly, supported ME. There are people who provide a service, and then there are people who genuinely pour into you. Kim is the latter. If you're a new mom, an experienced mom, overwhelmed, nervous about postpartum, or simply someone who believes in having a strong support system around you, I cannot recommend Kim enough. She is patient. She is compassionate. She is attentive. She is dependable. She is understanding. She is family-oriented. And she genuinely cares. Finding someone who can support you without judgment is a blessing. Finding someone who can support your entire family is rare. Kim is a Godsend. 🙏🏽❤️ I am so grateful that God placed her in my village during this season of my life. And honestly, this isn't just a review of a doula anymore—it's an appreciation post for someone who showed me that sometimes the right person comes into your life at exactly the right time. Kim, thank you for showing up. Thank you for staying. Thank you for understanding me even when I was difficult. Thank you for loving on my family. Thank you for reminding me that I don't have to do everything alone. And thank you for continuing to stand beside me even when I momentarily forgot how much I needed support. We are just getting started! 🥹❤️ 10/10. Highly recommend. A true Godsend. A beautiful addition to my village. And apparently, now my travel doula too! 😂✈️👶🏽

Hi, I’m Gabrielle Taylor. I’ve been supporting mothers and newborns since February 2022, but my passion for women’s health began in my teenage years. I’m a proud mother of two—my children were born in 2017 and 2021. **I have teamed up with Danica Day to bring quality care and support to Frederick and the surrounding areas. You can read more about Danica here: https://www.dawnandduskdoulaco.com/** My first birth, a cesarean, was emotionally traumatic and left me feeling unsupported and unheard. In contrast, the birth of my second child was an empowering VBAC, made possible by the compassionate presence of an incredible doula. That experience was truly life-changing—it showed me the profound difference that informed, empathetic support can make. Now, my mission is to offer that same kind of transformative support to other families. Whether you're navigating your first birth or welcoming another child into your home, I’m here to help you feel confident, cared for, and connected. In today’s fast-paced world, motherhood can feel isolating—but I'm here to bridge that gap so you feel supported. I’m also currently pursuing my nursing degree to deepen my knowledge and enhance the care I provide as a doula. I’m honored to walk alongside you during this pivotal journey.

Ro Compasso Background checked · Sep 2026

A New York native turned Maryland transplant, Ro’s journey to becoming a doula was paved by a deep fascination with how people transform throughout life. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, they spent years specializing in early intervention and infant feeding. The foundation of their career began in the home of new families, supporting children from birth to three during their most pivotal developmental milestones. Their work in early intervention and strong interest in birth guided them to DONA’s Labor and Birth Doula training in 2020. They quickly realized their heart lives in the “after” - helping families adjust during the transformative postpartum period. They spent five years in North Carolina as a private nanny and infant educator, honing the practical, day-to-day rhythms of newborn care. In 2025, they formalized this passion through ProDoula’s Postpartum & Infant Care training. Today, through RoCo Doulas, they combine their clinical knowledge of infant development with a warm, supportive approach to postpartum care. Ro is here to bring authentic, knowledgeable, and judgment-free support to your home.

Ro supported me through one of the most tender and transformative times of my life- the birth of my second daughter. I was nervous about how I'd manage with a toddler and a newborn, but Ro brought such calm, comfort, and confidence into our home. They seemed to know exactly what I needed before I even asked—whether it was rest, reassurance, or simply someone to listen. Because of Ro, my postpartum experience was peaceful, joyful, and full of love-the complete opposite of what I had gone through the first time. I'm endlessly grateful for their care and presence during this season of transition.

Hi there! My name is Darshal but you can call me Dee! I am a mom and experienced doula. I’m originally from Mississippi, and have a beautiful, blossoming teenage daughter! My journey into motherhood and the knowledge and empowerment gained through childbirth has led me to become a doula. I have a passion for helping women achieve a positive and satisfying childbirth experience. My goal as a doula is to help educate, advocate, offer support and comfort for all birthing persons during their fertility, pregnancy along with labor, ultimately leading to a positive birth and wellness experience.

Recent review

Dee the Doula (Darshal) is simply phenomenal! From the moment we connected, Dee brought such warmth, professionalism, and genuine care to every conversation. She is not only a certified birth & postpartum doula but also a student midwife with an incredible depth of knowledge about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. Her approach is the perfect balance of evidence-based guidance and heartfelt emotional support. She listened to my needs, respected my preferences, and made me feel empowered every step of the way. Whether it was helping me create a birth plan, offering comfort measures during labor, or ensuring I had the resources I needed at home postpartum, Dee went above and beyond. Even during times when she was navigating her own personal life challenges and may not have been quite as sharp for a few moments as she’s usually 110% of the time, she still showed up fully for me and my family. We gave her space to process because what good would she be to us if she wasn’t replenished? That mutual respect only strengthened our bond, and I can truly call her family and for that, I’m deeply grateful. It’s clear that this is more than just a job for her, it’s her calling. She treats her clients like family and creates a safe, uplifting environment for both parents and baby. If you’re looking for someone who will advocate for you, educate you, and hold space for you through one of the most important times in your life, I can’t recommend Dee the Doula enough! As we grow our family, she will ALWAYS be our go to doula! I can’t wait to see her in action one day as a midwife!
