Hello! I'm Jenny, a certified and experienced Childbirth and Bereavement Doula based in Chicago. I am also available to support your journey virtually. My passion is pregnancy and childbirth, and I'm especially in love with creating exactly the space and mood that my clients want for their labor and delivery. I am a judgment-free zone, and I am here to provide informational, emotional, and physical support. Whether you want a med-free birth or one with an epidural, a home birth or one on the labor & delivery floor, I'm equally thrilled to be part of it. Teen moms, mid-life moms, non-binary families, surrogates, full-figured moms, and adoptees are very much welcome!

I'm writing this 14 months removed from having Jenny as my doula. I think about the trauma of my birth experience often which means thinking about Jenny often. Her strong advocacy of my needs, her unwavering support, and her creative techniques got me through the most scary yet most beautiful experience of my life. She is an incredible mother herself and supports other mothers with sage wisdom and tenderness. She will tell a nurse to back off if they overstep when she sees you are too vulnerable. She will talk you through making difficult choices with a measured firm love that only very special people can execute. I look at my son and know that we are both still here because of 3 things; 1. Several fiercely dedicated nurses 2. Whatever divinity exists that was looking out for my son and I 3. Jenny. The love for my son goes hand in hand with my love and appreciation for Jenny.

Molly went above and beyond my expectations helping my family prepare and welcome our new baby. She created a safe space for me in such a vulnerable, stressful, and uncertain time of my life. Molly is reliable, trustworthy, exceptionally smart, and very in tune with her surroundings. She has a kind and comforting energy around her that requires little, if any, need for adjustment. I felt validated, listened to, and understood. Molly helped me feel capable of myself, loved and cared for, and answered to my needs without having to ask. I would not be in the same place that I am without Molly as our doula. I highly recommend her services and couldn't ask for a better person to guide me and my family.

I am Chicago based childbirth educator, doula, and soon-to-be midwife. I am passionate about supporting undisturbed physiologic birth. I believe in healthy-at-any-size. I've been teaching Evidence Based Birth for two years and I recently finished Midwifery school (to be licensed in 2026). I adore working with queer families, trans folks, and families who have used fertility support. My expertise spans home birth, birth centers, and hospital birth. Most people who take my class are at a birth center or hospital. Many want an empowered low-intervention birth, but most also want information about the benefits of epidurals, and when is the best time to get one. I am passionate about you having the birth YOU want, and having agency over your body and birth, no matter what this journey brings. I provide evidence based information, grounded energy, and listening ear.

Carly Ann was our doula for the birth of my second child and she was so incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and her presence was deeply grounding for me. Having her guidance in the hospital room was incredible for my husband and me both, and it just felt like we didn't need to worry about anything with Carly Ann there to remind us of anything or prompt us in important moments! She also came by to support after the baby was born and I appreciated feeling like I could just relax and be cared for by her. Super grateful that we got to work with her and I highly recommend her to anyone interested in working with her!! x

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a doula, birth photographer, and placenta encapsulation specialist proudly serving the Chicagoland area. I grew up in small town Kentucky and moved to Chicago five years ago. Since then, I’ve been deeply rooted in the birth world, supporting families through every stage of their journey. I’m a full spectrum certified doula through Sokana’s Full Spectrum Birth Justice Training, with extensive education in lactation and over four years of personal breastfeeding experience. I’m also certified in First Aid and CPR. I accept Carrot clients and will soon be accepting Medicaid, because I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, personalized support. That’s also why I offer sliding scale payment options for those in need. I’m also able to bill insurances with a superbill using my NPI number. My approach blends evidence based care with a holistic touch, holding space for whatever birth looks like for you. Outside of birth work, I’m chasing around my two toddlers, trying new recipes, camping, fishing, and checking out new restaurants! I never say no to a good steakhouse. Let’s schedule a consult and see if I am a great fit for your birth team!

Having Rachel on my birth team was the best decision I could have made. She was a rock for me throughout, and was such a source of peace and calm for me. Rachel valued my preferences for my birth plan without judgment and held true to advocating for me at all times. My birth story had many unexpected turns, and Rachel stayed by my side, along with my husband, for the wild ride. I had Rachel with me in the birth center and at the hospital after a transfer was needed. She never missed a beat and took care of me so thoughtfully. From the first interview to prenatal appointments to the actual birth of my first baby, Rachel kept looking out for me and helped me feel empowered throughout my birth journey. She even took pictures and helped transport my placenta for encapsulation, which was so helpful because we remained at the hospital for longer than expected. I felt like Rachel was one of the best parts of my birth story, and I know she would be a wonderful addition to any birth team!

As a Full-Spectrum Birth Worker since 2014, I provide informational, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical support during the entire perinatal period. I draw on both evidence-based research and traditional wisdom to support my clients. Hello everyone! My name is Parul, and I’m a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula based in Chicago, Illinois. I’m originally from Mississippi and have called Chicago home since 2009. I’m also a proud mom to a 21-year-old son! My journey into doula work grew from my passion for holistic wellness, mental health, and the connection between mind, body, and soul. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a holistic practitioner specializing in mental wellness and food as medicine, and these passions continue to influence the way I support families today. I believe nourishment, education, emotional well-being, and feeling supported all play an important role in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. I especially enjoy supporting mothers who desire an unmedicated birth and helping them feel prepared, confident, and empowered through education, comfort measures, and holistic practices. I also love incorporating my knowledge of nutrition, Ayurveda, and mindfulness into my work with families. Outside of doula work, I love traveling, cooking, discovering new foods and cultures, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I’m a big believer in enjoying life’s experiences, continuing to learn, and always finding ways to grow both personally and professionally.

Recent review

I am so relieved and happy that we chose Parul to be our doula. From our first contact, she was extremely responsive, clear, thorough, warm, and supportive in her communication with us. Her knowledge of the birthing process and preparation is unparalleled and i felt so much more confident going into my delivery with her by my side. At the hospital she was an amazing advocate who helped to ensure our birth plan was honored as closely as possible by our doctor. She was also a huge support during the birth when I needed some encouragement to keep pushing. She also spent a lot of time getting to know us personally which helped pass the time in the hospital. Overall I couldn’t recommend Parul more. When we prepare for our next baby I will definitely work with her again!

Me and my wife found Niaja on Bornbir, recommended by a doctor We had the pleasure of having Niaja as our overnight nanny for our twin newborns, and we couldn't be more grateful for her help. One of our twins required an oxygen machine and needed close monitoring, and Niaja handled it with such care and professionalism. She was amazing, reliable, and trustworthy, always ensuring our little one was safe and comfortable. In addition to her exceptional care, she also helped with washing and sterilizing bottles and keeping up with the baby laundry, which was a huge relief for us.
