My experience with high-risk mothers & newborns has helped me see just how special the birthing experience is. Seeing couples turn into a family for the first time, or seeing siblings introduced to their new brother/sister warms my heart to no end. It’s an amazing feeling to know that a new bundle of joy has entered the world and that I had the opportunity to be a part of it! While my years working in the hospital provided great learning experiences, I realized that my passion lies with mothers and newborns in their home environment. Hi I'm Kyndal!My path into postpartum care began in 2017 as a nanny for families with newborns. I had the privilege of growing alongside many families during their baby's first year of life, most of them first-time parents. While I loved caring for newborns, I quickly realized my true passion was educating and supporting parents as they transitioned from the hospital to home. Hello! My name is Valerie, but most people call me Val. I am a licensed Registered Nurse located Northeast of Austin, TX. I initially obtained my license in the state of California, but endorsed it to Texas once I moved. I have always been fascinated with birth and the women’s body. Labor & Delivery was my favorite clinical throughout nursing school, however the pandemic hit right when I was in the middle of school and that affected how I wanted to move forward in my career. It wasn’t until after giving birth myself, along with having a traumatic labor and delivery that I was 100% certain this was the area of work that truly felt most passionate about and is right for me. I am focused on gaining more experience at the bedside during birth and to continue learning from mentors. I am confident with the right circumstances, environment and support that birth can be one of the most beautiful and powerful things you’ll get to experience and I would love nothing more than to be apart of that.
