I serve mama’s in the Fort Mill and Charlotte surrounding areas during pregnancy and postpartum. I am married to my best friend, Collin Francis and we just had the most perfect baby girl, Saylor Grace Francis, born at home on July 31st, 2022. Our hearts are so full! I became a doula because I am so passionate about everything pregnancy and birth but most importantly because I believe women and their families need such a strong support system during this season in their life. I worked in the hospital system for almost 4 years on several different units from ER to maternity, went to nursing school and got my LPN degree all to realize I wanted nothing more than to support women holistically. As your doula, I’m your non-medical teammate from bump to baby. I bring a DACM background, midwifery training, and deep somatic skills to offer steady, practical support—not needles. Prenatal: We clarify your birth values, map options, and rehearse pain-coping (breath, movement, vocalization). I coach your partner in acupressure, counterpressure, positioning, and other comfort measures (such as back pressure, heat/cold, and the use of a birth ball) so they feel confident and helpful. Labor & Birth: I create a calm field: rhythmic touch, position changes for progress, temperature/lighting tweaks, hydration cues, and clear communication with your team. Postpartum: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)- informed recovery—warming meals, gentle herbal teas/compresses, rest planning, and somatic down-regulation—to support hormones, bleeding, and mood in the early weeks. I was born and raised in Asheville, NC and am so proud to call this town my home. I have always had a passion for science and a specific fascination with the human body and its capabilities. In 2013, I graduated from AB-Tech with an associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and in 2019, I graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. Having a doula with my third birth made such a difference in my experience that I wanted to shout it from the rooftops. I wanted to share my birth story with everyone I came into contact with and when I realized I could be that difference in other people's stories, I couldn't find doula training fast enough! In September of 2023 I became certified through ProDoula as a birth, postpartum and infant care doula with more to come!
