I wanted to be a L&D nurse then a Nurse Practitioner so I could deliver babies. One day I was talking to my spiritual coach who told me my ancestors told her I was a medicine healing lady, and my life purpose was to be a midwife. I never thought to be one even though I heard so many people talked about having midwives and doula when I was pregnant with my son. I decided to do some research and I fell in love with the results and became a certified trained birth/postpartum doula through Madriella Doula Network. Being other women and families support system is my top priority. Rather it’s in a home, birthing center, or hospital I’m there!
