Hi, I’m Anna, the heart behind Newborn Ease. I created Newborn Ease to provide expecting and new parents with calm, practical support during one of the biggest transitions of their lives. I believe preparing for and caring for a new baby shouldn’t leave parents feeling overwhelmed, judged, or like they have to figure everything out alone. My philosophy is simple: educate, support, and empower. After years of social justice work, community organizing, and healing facilitation, Tyne became a birth worker in 2023. She focuses on providing grounded, evidenced-based, love and support for families. Most important to me- is that you have the information to make your birth your own, and feel supported & loved while doing so. After she began working as a doula and seeing the disparities amongst mamas, she started providing my services on a sliding scale and mainly works with moms on medicaid through GALS. Tyne is trained through Doula Trainings International, and works with Giving Austin Labor Support (GALS) as an On-Call Doula for Austin hospitals. She also is training through BEST Doula Program for placenta preparation. Tyne is also a trained healing circle facilitator, worked with an indigenous midwifery school Ruruchay in Peru, and loves to support clients through the emotional journey of birth. In addition to birth work, Tyne graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Human Rights, and finishing her masters in Community Organizing and Social Activism. She has worked in several non-profits for the past 6 years. Tyne has also been an actor, director, and performer for over 10 years. I am a holistic Postpartum Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor serving Houston, TX and surrounding areas. I have a Master’s in Public Health, and a Lactation Counseling certification from Health Children’s Project. My passion for birth work grew tenfold after my own at home birthing experience with an amazing doula and midwife at my side. I was truly grateful for their guidance and the love they showed me as I brought my baby boy into the world. I love supporting the mother (and family) through the momentous transition that a birth and newborn brings. ​ I specialize in postpartum care and breastfeeding support for new(and experienced) mothers.
