I had a c section in Sept of 2024 and want to try for a vbac this time around. I plan to give birth at Prince William hospital UVA. I would like to have a medicated vbac but would like to labor as long as possible without the epidural. I would like an experienced Doula with extensive vbac experience. My budget is around $1000

I plan to give birth at home or at a birthing center via a tub birth. I need a provider with a certification that meets Tricare's requirements, speaks English, and has at least a year of experience. I do not have a budget estimation but have seen that Tricare does cover a doula and a midwife. I have Tricare Reserve Select.

My husband and I are moving to Maryland from out of state during my 3rd trimester. (Military family!) My first pregnancy was high risk and we spent 8 weeks in the nicu with my daughter. I am looking for a birth doula who can help me both figure out a birth plan, as well as coach me through a more “normal”/typical birth experience. I’m not opposed to pain management, but would like to try to attempt all natural. (I managed this with my last daughter, but my labor was induced, came on very very fast, and she was just under 5 lbs!)

Planning to give birth in the hospital, birth plan Is to try to go unmedicated with hypno-birthing techniques & an advocate for me when I cannot advocate for myself. Birth plan- yes to golden hour, cord clamping delayed, yes to all necessary vaccines, yes to circumcision. Willing to try N2O but no IV pain medications. Yes to epidural if hypno-birthing Is not going well & yes to c-section IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

I want to try to have a natural birth but if I get to be in too much pain I want an epidural. This will be my second birth. I’m not opposed to an epidural. My insurance requires me to birth at Virginia Hospital Center and I've always been the kind of person to put half my trust in medical science and half my trust in holistic belief, I want to do everything I can to train my body and mind to be ready for the beautiful journey of childbirth.
