I’m Nubia, a mom of five (teens & young adults). I have 25years of experience in the birth, postpartum & newborn care field. This is my passion work. I have a tremendous amount of gratitude being able to do this heart-centered work professionally & full-time. I support mothers & families as a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, parent educator, certified breastfeeding counselor (CLC), an integrative nutrition health coach (IIN) and a student midwife. My journey started in the year 2000 in my hometown of Washington, DC. In 2015. Since then, I’ve supported a diverse clientele in New York City and now Cali. My philosophy: Mothers deserve to be respected, heard and nurtured doing this major transition in life to becoming a mom, whether it’s for the first time or the 8th time! I truly believe It takes a village to raise a family which is what led me to my purpose, heart-centered work of supporting mothers & families. I’m a strong advocate for mothers and families birthing in all settings including hospital, home & birth centers. I respect the many choices in mothering and parenting. It's an honor to walk the path of mothering with women as they navigate the many options we have today. I strongly believe in the woman's ability to grow, birth and nourish her baby with her natural, innate abilities while also respecting the need or preference of medical support along the way. It's all about the balance of holistic & medical. My support also includes follow up postpartum healing practices for mom, lactation and pumping support, newborn care and parent coaching. On my spare time I enjoy indulging in health & wellness therapies, spending time in nature, traveling, cooking, dancing, and enjoying quality time with my family. Let’s meet!🌷🤲🏽 www.doulavivabirths.com IG: @doulaviva_births 240-273-5088 Cell

Your Soft Landing Into Postpartum ♡ The journey doesn’t end at birth. Neither should your care. Bringing a baby into the world is one of the most profound transformations you’ll ever experience. Your body, your identity, your relationships, and your entire world shift to make room for new life. It’s beautiful, tender, exhausting, and sometimes overwhelming. And you deserve to feel deeply supported through all of it. At Soft Landing Postpartum, we believe the fourth trimester deserves just as much intention, preparation, and care as pregnancy and birth. Soft Landing Postpartum is a postpartum doula agency serving Greater Sacramento and Sonoma County. Founded by a Licensed Midwife, our practice grew from a deep understanding of the physiological and emotional transformation that unfolds after birth, and a desire to fill the gap in care so many families experience during this vulnerable season. Our team of experienced postpartum doulas and newborn care specialists offers thoughtful, individualized care that blends evidence-based knowledge with the wisdom of traditional postpartum practices. How we care for you: * Overnight newborn care: Rest easy knowing your baby is in experienced, loving hands while you get the restorative sleep you need. * Daytime postpartum support: Nourishing meals, light household care, newborn education, emotional support, and space for you to rest and recover. * Lactation and feeding support: Compassionate, judgment-free guidance from experienced providers and IBCLCs. * Postpartum bodywork and recovery: Belly binding, gentle movement, breathwork, and somatic support to help you reconnect with your body. * Infant sleep support: Gentle, developmentally appropriate guidance as your family finds its rhythm. Whether you’re welcoming your first baby, growing your family, recovering from a cesarean, navigating a NICU transition, or simply longing for a little more rest, we meet you exactly where you are. We serve families throughout Greater Sacramento and Sonoma County, offering care that feels less like a service and more like the village you were always meant to have. Our hope is simple: that you feel rested, nourished, confident, and held as you settle into this new chapter. Because you deserve more than just getting through postpartum. You deserve to be cared for, too. We would be honored to be part of your village. Honestly, 10/10 doesn't even cut it for Soft Landing Postpartum and our amazing doulas, Emma and Cindy. Bringing home a newborn is a lot, but they made the whole transition feel so smooth and manageable. They both have this incredible depth of knowledge and exceptional professionalism, but they deliver it with so much genuine warmth. Whether we had questions about sleep, feeding, or just general newborn stuff, they always had the best advice. Most importantly, the way they loved and cared for our little girl was just beautiful. They felt like a natural extension of our family almost instantly, and we honestly can’t picture our daughter’s life without them in it. We were lucky enough to use them through our Carrot benefits, and the whole process was incredibly easy. If you’re a medical resident with Carrot benefits, do yourself a favor and book them right away. Surviving residency while trying to navigate life with a newborn is no joke, and having Emma and Cindy there to support us meant we actually got to sleep, recover, and feel human. It made a world of difference in helping us show up for our shifts and be present for our baby. We seriously can't recommend them enough!

Chelsea was life-changing in my critical postpartum days, and I would not be breastfeeding my baby right now as I write this if not for her. I will sing her praises to anyone who will hear: WORK WITH CHELSEA. She was so kind, fast, knowledgeable, understanding, and supportive. When I was struggling with a very painful oversupply and scared of developing mastitis, Chelsea was there to help me create a plan that I could follow that would work for me and my baby. She helped me avoid any further complications or discomfort, and I was so grateful to be able to feel better and become even more comfortable nursing and pumping for my baby. Chelsea also was a big part of me getting more sleep at night, as she helped me create a pumping plan that would allow me to go longer stretches and get the critical longer periods of rest. I cannot urge you enough: CCONTACT CHELSEA TODAY. Your insurance may even cover it—mine did!!!!

Hello! I’m Naoko. I am a Japanese-trained midwife, birth and postpartum doula, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, and mother of four. Before moving to the United States, I worked as a midwife in Japan, supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I have continued supporting families as a doula with compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized care. My approach is centered on the person giving birth. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported in making decisions that are right for them and their family. I draw on both my medical knowledge and my personal experience raising four children to provide practical, compassionate, and individualized support. I welcome families of all backgrounds, races, cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations, including LGBTQ+ families. I support a wide range of birth preferences and experiences, including unmedicated birth, epidural birth, induction, VBAC, and cesarean birth. I also offer childbirth education, breastfeeding and lactation guidance, prenatal yoga, and bilingual support in English and Japanese. My goal is to help each family feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I reached out for support because I was feeling really anxious about attempting a TOLAC. I wasn’t sure if I should go for it, but after having many honest conversations, I felt completely heard and supported. That helped me make a decision I truly felt good about. On the day of my delivery, she came right away. Her bright encouragement and Naoko’s calming presence helped me shift from fear to confidence. In the end, I had a successful VBAC, and it turned into the best birth experience I could have hoped for. I’m so grateful I chose Naoko’s support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a TOLAC or VBAC.
