Additionally, I recently obtained my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist certificate (CBS) from Lactation Education Resources in October 2025. Prior to getting into birth work, I attended Notre Dame of Maryland University, where I studied biology and graduated with high honors. I have since become a mother of 2. Tamika is also an instructor for Lactation Education Resources. She was elected to the Executive Committee of the D.C. Breastfeeding Coalition and the Board of Directors for Breastfeeding USA. I love that each family I work with has their own story and their own journey. I am honored to be part of each situation as we find the next right thing and reach personalized goals. When I am not using my IBCLC skills I love to spend time with my husband, 3 school aged kids, and standard poodle. We enjoy visiting extended family members spread out along the East Coast, hiking in Patapsco State Park and traveling by airplane to new places when we have extra time together.
