Hi! My name is Stephanie and I am a Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Birth Story Listener. I felt called to work with birth as a young adult, and love helping folks prepare for and navigate their birth journeys, as well as their relationship to their birth stories. My goal is to help birthing people find an empowered way through whatever comes up for them, and for them to feel supported and seen throughout the process. I also enjoy homeschooling my kids, teaching theater classes, singing in my community choir, and working for a local organic farm at the farmers market in Claremont!

Recent review

I worked with Stephanie prenatally, during labor/delivery, and postpartum too. She was wonderful to work with, a great listener, guided me and my husband well through what we could expect with having our first child, supported me through my various anxieties, and really showed up for us during labor. She was a vital advocate for me while I was at the hospital. She is knowledgable about Spinning Babies (and has received their training), did a visualization exercise with my husband and I in thinking about the unknowns of parenthood and embracing all that was to come, and she was ready and prepared to support us when she came to the hospital. She supported me emotionally and physically through early labor and all the various interventions that became necessary because I was not dilating and my labor was not progressing. Loved working with Stephanie and would recommend her to anyone for support during the birth or new mom phase of life.

Birth & Postpartum Doula I have been supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum since long before I had the language for it formally serving as a doula since 2021, but showing up for birthing people in my community for years before that. Birth work found me through my own pregnancies (c-section) unmedicated V back and unmedicated water birth vbac mama my background in education. As a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, I’ve always been drawn to caring for the whole child and family. Each of my births deepened my commitment to this work, and I’m passionate about supporting women who look like me in spaces where we are often the only ones. I’m a super big supporter of Vbacs They are my favorite. I currently work with Kindred Space LA, Frontline Doulas, and the Irth App, supporting families through birth, postpartum, belly binding, and babywearing. An avid breastfeeder myself nursing each of my children for 3 years I bring lived experience and practical support to feeding journeys. My practice centers education, cultural affirmation, and hands on care.

Aysha SHOWED UP for me! I’m honestly not sure how my birth would have gone without her support! We laughed. We walked. We squatted. We twerked. I cried. She held me. Reminded me that i was capable. Postpartum was rough this go round and she was there, prepping meals, cleaning, teaching my toddler essential life skills, making sure she saw me drinking my water and taking my vitamins. She feels like a best friend I’ve known for many years. I’m so grateful and i can’t say it enough💗

Josée (pronounced Joe-say) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) providing compassionate, evidence-based breastfeeding support for families in Pasadena and throughout the Los Angeles area. Josée’s passion for supporting families began while living abroad in Ghana and Haiti, where she worked in several community health clinics and developed a deep appreciation for maternal and infant health across diverse cultural settings. These experiences shaped her commitment to providing inclusive, respectful, and individualized care for every family she works with. After returning to Canada, Josée completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Development at the University of Guelph before pursuing advanced training in lactation and infant feeding. In 2015, she graduated from the Lactation Medicine Program at the Jack Newman International Breastfeeding Centre in Toronto, one of the leading breastfeeding education programs in North America. In 2017, Josée became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) after completing extensive clinical training in human lactation and passing the IBLCE certification exam. The IBCLC credential is the international gold standard for lactation care, requiring rigorous education, clinical experience, and ongoing professional development. Josée’s approach to lactation care is grounded in evidence-based practice, compassion, and inclusivity. She believes every family’s feeding journey is unique and strives to meet parents exactly where they are—whether they are navigating painful breastfeeding, concerns about milk supply, newborn feeding patterns, pumping, or simply looking for reassurance during the early weeks with a new baby. Her goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where families feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions that work best for them and their baby. Josée currently runs a private lactation practice in Los Angeles and lives in Pasadena with her husband and son. She provides breastfeeding support for families throughout the surrounding communities, including: • Pasadena • Eagle Rock • Highland Park • Glendale • Burbank • Alhambra • Hollywood • Downtown Los Angeles

We just made it to a full year of breastfeeding, and I truly don’t think we would have made it without Josée's help in those early days. She was so calm, kind, and reassuring during a time that felt overwhelming and emotional. Breastfeeding was feeling so complicated, but she helped us come up with a simple, realistic game plan that worked for our family. Her relaxed approach gave me so much confidence in my body, and I am incredibly grateful for her support. I recommend her to every new parent I know!

I live in OC with my three amazing children! If I’m not at a birth, you will find us at the beach surfing, playing, and enjoying the outdoors. I fell in love with all things birth when I became pregnant with my 1st child in 2008. As an avid reader and researcher, I made it my goal to learn everything I possibly could about the biology and physiology of birth, and how to have optimal health during and after pregnancy for both me and my baby. Like many first-time moms I have worked with, I had hesitations about giving birth to my 1st baby outside of a hospital setting. After all my research, classes, and conversations with midwives, I gained confidence in aiming for an unmedicated birthing experience. I found some lovely midwifes who had a midwifery ward in a hospital and gave birth to my 1st son unmedicated. Twenty-four hours of intense back labor from a posterior-positioned baby …but, I did it! My body actually did it! After birthing my first, statistically knowing it was the most challenging and longest labor, gave me confidence to choose home births for my second and third children. I had a successful home water birth with my second child and wanted to repeat that with my third. However, while laboring on the toilet with him, I suddenly dropped to my knees when he began to crown, and he became known as my bathroom floor “butter birth” baby :). Though I chose unmedicated births for myself, I do know it is not for everyone, which is more than OK! I quickly learned from my role as a doula that every woman’s body, medical history, and background are uniquely different. Many factors play into choosing the right birth for you. I am here to come alongside you, help you make an informed decision, and then support you every step of the way. I offer very personable and compassionate care. My approach is non-agenda-based, trauma-informed, and holistic-minded. No matter your history or past experiences, I am here to be a safe place for you. I will help educate, support, and advocate for you and your personal wishes. I look forward getting to know you and building a trusting relationship to where you feel 100% comfortable having me by your side for one of the biggest days of your life. 🙂 I am here for you! We are beyond grateful to have had Andrea by our side. She prepared me so well for birth and has continued to support us postpartum with her knowledge, experience, and thoughtful guidance. During labor, she was an incredible source of calm and strength. She empowered us to make our own informed decisions, always making sure we understood our options. She worked seamlessly with the doctors and nurses while also advocating for our wishes. She seemed to know exactly what I needed, even before I did, and communicated with the medical team when I couldn’t. Andrea made us feel safe, supported, and truly cared for throughout our journey. We couldn’t have asked for a better doula, and we will always be grateful for everything she did for our family.

I’m Curtrelle! Your Certified Doula, and Lactation Educator! Nice to meet you! I am an adventurer, fitness and wellness enthusiast, foodie, intermediate snowboarder, and a Registered Nurse of 10+ years, with a passion for service and maternal and public health equity. My mission? To empower you and your family as you navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. To make sure your birth and postpartum plans are clearly communicated. My method? Providing wrap-around, holistic, and evidence-based support and education. My why? We deserve BETTER! Birthing people, ESPECIALLY, Black, Indigenous, POC, and LBGTQ+, deserve better birthing outcomes! As a health equity and justice advocate, I believe in safe, sacred, collaborative, and informed birthing experiences for ALL birthing people, whether it be inside or outside of the hospital.

Recent review

Working with Curtrelle made my birthing experience so much better than I could’ve imagined. As a first time mom, I was overwhelmed with the amount of information I was receiving from doctors, relatives and my social media. Curtrelle was instrumental in keeping both my partner and I calm, informed, and hopeful throughout the entire birthing process. Her techniques, presence and overall explanation of the process beforehand during and after were incredibly helpful for two new parents who felt lost in a sea of information. We truly feel she was the reason we had such a great birthing experience and we loved her demeanor not just with us, but with the people we decided to include in the process as well. I highly recommend anyone looking for a doula that is informed, calming, reassuring, and overall great person to work with Curtrelle.

With years of experience as a midwife and birth professional, I support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with a holistic, grounded approach that honors both physiology and personal choice. Whether you are planning a home birth, hospital birth, birth center delivery, medicated or unmedicated experience, my role is to help you feel fully prepared — physically, emotionally, and mentally — for the birth you desire. My pregnancy bodywork sessions are designed to support optimal fetal positioning, pelvic balance, and nervous system regulation. When the body is aligned and tension patterns are released, babies can settle into ideal positions and labor often unfolds more smoothly. A regulated nervous system allows you to feel safer, more present, and more empowered — which can significantly impact both birth and postpartum recovery. In addition to hands-on bodywork, I offer comprehensive childbirth education that prepares you for the realities of labor, informed decision-making, partner support, and postpartum recovery. My goal is not to push a specific birth path, but to equip you with knowledge, confidence, and tools so you can navigate your experience feeling supported and in control. I bring both clinical insight and steady presence. I understand the nuances of hospital systems and home birth environments, and I help families advocate for themselves while staying connected to their intuition. Birth is a rite of passage — and preparation matters. When your body is balanced, your nervous system is regulated, and your mind is informed, you enter birth grounded and ready. It is an honor to walk alongside families as they prepare to welcome their babies and step into parenthood with confidence.

Hi, I’m Iliana! I’m a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula based in Los Angeles, and at my core, I’m a student of life. I believe in curiosity, imagination, and the strength of humanity. We’ve made it this far by showing up for one another, especially during life’s most vulnerable transitions, and that belief sits at the foundation of how I approach this work. Before becoming a doula, I spent years working in film and visual storytelling. That background deeply shapes how I support families. It taught me how to read a room, stay grounded under pressure, notice subtle shifts, and honor someone’s story without trying to control it. Birth is not so different. It’s unscripted, intimate, and deeply human. My role is to be present, observant, and steady, allowing your experience to unfold in its own way. In both birth and postpartum, my focus is connection. Connection to your body, your baby, and the people supporting you. I support all kinds of births, whether hospital or home, unmedicated or with an epidural. There is no one right way. I aim to demystify the physiology of birth so the unknown feels less intimidating, while also helping you feel more at home in your body. If you have a partner, I help you move as a team, offering tools for communication, grounding, and nervous system regulation. I strive to be a calming presence you can orient toward if things feel overwhelming. Postpartum, that support continues as you settle into life with your baby and find your rhythm. I’m here to support your story with care, curiosity, and deep respect for how human this season is. :)
