My doula philosophy is rooted in radical presence, cultural humility, and Christ-centered service. I believe every birth deserves advocacy, informed choice, and a warm village wrapped around it. My intention is to create a safe, judgment-free space where families feel seen, heard, and held in their full stories, whether in joy, grief, or the in-between. I try to live out the Acts-church model, showing up, sharing life, and walking alongside families as I follow God's divine direction while continually learning and growing. I've been a doula for about five years and am now on my journey to become a midwife, carrying that same heart of service into clinical care. Josée (pronounced Joe-say) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) providing compassionate, evidence-based breastfeeding support for families in Pasadena and throughout the Los Angeles area. Josée’s passion for supporting families began while living abroad in Ghana and Haiti, where she worked in several community health clinics and developed a deep appreciation for maternal and infant health across diverse cultural settings. After returning to Canada, Josée completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Development at the University of Guelph before pursuing advanced training in lactation and infant feeding.
