Hiring an overnight doula from Peaceful Passages was one of the best decisions I made for my postpartum recovery. Not only did my doula lovingly care for me and my newborn, she went above and beyond—prepping nourishing meals, providing breastfeeding support, organizing the baby’s nursery, and even helping with my twin toddlers so I could rest. Her calm, professional presence made my healing after a c-section so much easier. I was especially impressed by how seamless everything was—she was professionally dressed, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. On top of that, Peaceful Passages accepted my Carrot insurance and handled all the billing with ease, which lifted such a burden off my shoulders. This service was truly a lifesaver for me and my family. I felt cared for, supported, and able to focus on bonding with my baby. I can’t recommend their overnight doula services enough!

Tunisha became my doula when I was 7 months pregnant. Throughout my journey, we had zoom meetings and communicated daily. Tunisha always checked in on me and shared informative resources for my pregnancy. Fast forward to the actual day of giving birth. Tunisha came to the hospital with such positive energy and calmness. She guided me through every contraction by reminding me to focus on my breathing and by pressing on my hips and back (this got me through the pain). During the time of pushing, she spoke out with encouragement and I held on to her voice. She made me believe in my body and what my body was capable of doing. She was my advocate and my rock. Tunisha asked me if I wanted to labor and push in all the different types of positions; I did and I finally found a comfortable position. I gave birth unmedicated and this was an amazing experience. Trained in techniques that encourage optimal fetal positioning by finding balance in the body (more comfort during pregnancy as well as labor/birth) optimal positioning helps labor be more comfortable, increasing odds of a efficient and smoother vaginal birth. I share these techniques with my clients in the third trimester to decrease the use of interventions & prevent trauma. Also practicing placenta encapsulation and massage therapy at Full Moon Birth & Family Wellness Center.

We had the most magical natural unmedicated birth experience in a hospital and we owe so much of it to Gretchen. Right from our first interaction when we were interviewing birth doulas, we were drawn by her warm nature. Her prenatal visits were extremely helpful be it the exercises she taught us to enable an optimal baby position for birth or her inputs into crafting our birth plan. We would have been lost with the information overload if not for her timely, targeted and super informative educational resources that have been extremely helpful to us as first time parents. She has always been a text or phone call away to address anything we needed. She brought in a sign of relief when she entered the labor room...her calming presence during my final stretch of labor and the positions she guided me through definitely helped me avoid an epidural. The icing on the cake was her singing a lullaby to our little one upon birth, it felt divine. She also captured beautiful moments of our baby's birth that we will cherish forever. I will always remember her positive affirmation 'You are stronger than you think!'. Can't thank you enough Gretchen for being the rockstar that you are and all your support to growing families :)

We cannot say enough good things about our experience having Rebecca as our postpartum night doula! Rebecca took care of our infant daughter at night for the first 8 weeks of her life, giving us the much-needed time to rest and recover, and helping us learn to be new parents! We are so incredibly appreciative of her nurturing and non-judgmental approach, her gentle guidance, and her warm professionalism. Rebecca made it possible for my husband to sleep through the nights, and greatly increased the amount of sleep I got as a breastfeeding mom by handling all nighttime duties besides actual feeds. We felt it was one of the best investments we could have made in our marriage and new life as a family of 3.
