I’m a wife of 15 years and a homeschooling mother of five. My wellness and birth advocacy journey began with earning a certificate in Massage Therapy from Eastern Virginia Career College in 2018. I later completed my Doula Certification through Germanna Community College in 2024 and graduated with honors in Herbal Studies from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2025. Hi, I’m Morgan, a birth doula with a deep passion for supporting women through the sacred and powerful journey of pregnancy and birth. Outside of birth work, you can often find me hiking, camping, traveling, walking my two corgis, reading, spending time with my husband and son, or serving my church and local community. My heart for women’s health began during my very first OB/GYN appointment as a teenager, when I had to navigate a complicated diagnosis and a series of confusing and often scary interactions with specialists. Years later, after facing complications during the birth of my son, my passion for informed care and patient advocacy only grew stronger. That experience not only taught me the importance of understanding my health and my options, but it also deepened my trust in the Lord. Through it all, my faith grew as I leaned into His strength during a season full of unknowns. Since then, I’ve become deeply committed to helping women feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout their reproductive journeys. My journey led me to work on a research team developing an intrauterine balloon stent to help treat Asherman’s Syndrome—a role that involved shadowing OB/GYNs and midwives and sparked a deeper appreciation for the science behind pregnancy and birth. Nikita Wise is a Traditional Apprentice Midwife serving families throughout the Baltimore–Washington region with a deep commitment to culturally centered, respectful, and holistic maternity care. Widely recognized for her dedication to Black and minority families, Nikita has spent over a decade supporting women through fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with compassion, clinical rigor, and ancestral reverence. Born and raised in Baltimore City, Nikita later relocated to suburban Maryland at age 19, where her personal journey into motherhood profoundly shaped her professional calling. Becoming a mother at 16 with the steadfast support of her married parents, she developed an early passion for maternal health and a determination to serve women during some of life’s most transformative moments. This experience inspired her pursuit of a career in labor and delivery and ultimately midwifery. In 2013, Nikita began her formal clinical training by earning her Nursing Assistant Certification at the Gandhi School in Pikesville, Maryland. She then advanced her medical training at Brown’s Career Institute, where she became both a Patient Care Technician and Certified Phlebotomist. That same year, she entered the field of obstetrics as an OB Surgical Technician at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C., completing the hospital’s in-house Surgical Technology Program and receiving extensive on-the-job training in high-acuity maternity care. Over the next five years, Nikita worked across multiple labor and delivery units throughout the DMV, including Sibley Memorial Hospital, The George Washington University Hospital, St. Agnes Hospital, Providence Hospital, StoneSprings Hospital Center, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, and MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. During this time, she gained firsthand experience in operative births, maternal emergencies, and interdisciplinary obstetric care—knowledge that continues to inform her midwifery practice today. In 2019, recognizing the limitations of hospital-based care for families seeking autonomy and holistic support, Nikita transitioned from surgical technology to birthwork as a doula and student midwife. That same year, she founded DMV Birth Doulas, LLC, a full-spectrum doula practice dedicated to empowering families through personalized, evidence-informed, and culturally affirming support. In 2020, Nikita launched The Black Doula Training, LLC, an accessible, low-cost educational program designed to increase diversity in the birthwork profession and prepare aspiring doulas for professional practice. Many graduates of the program have gone on to serve families in community settings and within DMV Birth Doulas’ professional network. Taiwo Ikeoluwa Adeloye-Ajao or "Tia Ajao" has served in the maternal-child health arena for over 20 years. She obtained her MPH in maternal and child health, community health & prevention in 2008. Tia decided to become a nurse & a doula in 2014 due to her own experiences as a mother & as an advocate in her community. These roles empowered Tia to become a certified birth & postpartum doula, a certified maternal-newborn nurse, a Lamaze certified childbirth educator, a birth assistant with midwives, and an international board certified lactation consultant. She enjoys helping families to be intentional about preparing for their birth & postpartum experiences.

I enjoy playing soccer with my kids, cooking, decorating my home for each season and holiday as well as baking and arts and crafts with my kids after school.
