I began my doula career in 2021 and have since supported more than 100 families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and the transition into early parenthood. My clients have ranged from young and underserved parents navigating pregnancy with limited support to experienced parents welcoming their third baby. Through my experiences, the work I continually found myself drawn back to is education, especially helping first-time parents make sense of an experience that can feel incredibly overwhelming from the outside. Over the years, that passion has expanded beyond birth support into childbirth education, postpartum care, newborn education, and pediatric sleep.

As a doula, it is my goal to support families in achieving positive birth experiences. I am a certified birth and bereavement doula, trained Hypnobabies® doula and placenta encapsulation specialist serving Huntsville and the surrounding areas. As your doula, I will support and guide you during your pregnancy and birth, assist you in developing a birth plan that feels best for you, give you access to my lending library and resources, as well as help you advocate for the birth you want. My journey to becoming a doula was born out of my own pregnancy and birth experiences. I am a mother to two children, a daughter born via cesarean birth in 2015 and a son born via VBAC (vaginal birth after c section) in 2017. It was after my c section that my interest in birth education and alternative birthing methods developed. When I learned I was pregnant with my son, I determined to VBAC for my second pregnancy. Knowing I may have some roadblocks on my journey to VBAC, I hired a doula to guide me through pregnancy and birth and empower me to advocate for myself. Having someone in my corner to give me resources as well as emotional support through out pregnancy made all the difference in my experience. Knowing firsthand how important it is to have support and resources throughout such a transformative time in your life, I strive to be a source of strength, knowledge, and empowerment as your doula on your journey to motherhood.

Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m a mom of five amazing children, two of which are grown now. Much of my life outside of work revolves around my family and our little farm in rural Alabama. Home is a busy mix of family and extra-curricular activities for the kids, farm animals, gardening, and whatever project I’ve decided to take on next. I love the slower, more grounded parts of life—getting my hands in the dirt, making things from scratch, caring for our animals, and spending time with the people I love. Motherhood was a dream from my earliest memories and has been one of the greatest influences on who I am. My own journey has included beautiful births and joyful seasons, but also pregnancy loss, perinatal mental health complications, grief, and the many unexpected ways motherhood changes us. Those experiences eventually became part of what led me into the work I do today as a counselor, birth and bereavement doula, and HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator.
