I am the founder and creator of Appointed Time Doula Services. I am a graduate of Dona International where I attained my Birth Doula Certification. It is paramount to me that my clients feel as welcome and as cared for as though they were members of my own family, in comparison to being a part of an uncaring system. The most rewarding aspect of my ministry is the opportunity to witness a new life come forth into this world. This priceless moment allows me to develop a unique relationship with each family.

Hi, my name is Chante Shine. I am a wife, mother and cancer survivor. It was after my own two wildly different but equally amazing birth experiences I realized that I had a passion for birth. For years afterward, I helped to guide my friends through their birth journeys but after my life changing struggles in 2022 I decided, life is short and there is not a minute to waste! So, in 2023 I decided to make it official and get my Birth Doula Certification. I also went ahead and added Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Counselor and Childbirth Educator Certifications to my agenda! I am currently working my way through these classes, and I could not be more excited and thrilled to start working with expecting parents such as yourselves!

Hi, I’m Jaynie! I am a CACHE-Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Postpartum Doula, and New Parent Educator who has a passion for supporting newborns and their families for the first 12-16 weeks of life. I offer the families I work with unique expertise in newborn care, emotional and physical birth parent support, and parental education and family support. My job is to nurture and care for the newborn, the birth parent, and the entire family. As your Newborn Care Specialist, I’ll establish safe and comforting sleep practices, help you develop an easy-to-maintain daily and nightly schedule and routine, and create a system to track feedings, diaper changes, and sleep. I’ll also educate you on any aspects of newborn care you don’t feel confident in, especially for preemies, multiples, and/or medically fragile newborns. Most importantly, I will be there for overnights, responding to your baby’s needs while you get a full night of SLEEP!

My name is Claire and I am starting my doula journey. I feel that I have been called to support women during pregnancy and postpartum. I'm outgoing, supportive of your choices as a mother, and a great listener. I am skilled at de-escalating situations in which you may feel panicked or afraid, and explain things in simple terms so that they aren't overwhelming. I will advocate for you in whatever situation you need, whether with a high-pressure medical provider or your nosy mother-in-law. I have worked with children 5 to 18 years old who have mental, physical, and emotional handicaps as well as a multitude of students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working with these students has brought me so much joy and understanding of a world that can be very hard to explain to those with no experience in it. Whether it is you, your children, or loved ones who identify with the previous disorders, I would be beyond honored and ecstatic to help work through the crazy mystery and miracle of birth. I am currently going through the certification process to be a doula and need to attend three births to be fully certified. I am looking to help anyone I can in this process.

Maker Maternal Health seeks to provide a comprehensive approach to redeeming the birth experience. Our team of doulas serves Southwest Michigan and collectively equips clients with evidence-based information. We advocate for the birthing mother to make informed decisions through the use of varied practices to aid in trusting her body and ultimately reducing her fears. We envision changing the negative narrative of birth in a distinctly different way: combining the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of maternity support.

I believe that supporting mothers is how we heal and transform our culture into one that is sustainable, inclusive, and nurturing.

Hello! I am a student postpartum doula near South Haven, with a special interest in maternal mental health. Because I am still working towards certification, my rates are adjusted accordingly.

I became passionate about supporting growing families after the water-birth of my now eleven year old daughter. My husband and I chose to receive maternity care from a midwife and peacefully brought our baby into the world in a tiny apartment in Huntington Beach, CA. My pregnancy and birth experience was made beautiful through research and informed choices, a safe birthing location, and a strong support team. Almost five years later I birthed my second daughter into the world right at home again. I also experienced an unmedicated birth in a hospital setting late 2019 when my son was born. After attending births in 2012, I began my maternity related education and received my birth doula certification through Childbirth International. CBI is a thorough program accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nurse education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I hold a Childbirth Education Certification as well as a certification in Safety and Infection Prevention and Control. I also hold an up to date CPR certification. I attend births in home and birthing center locations in the Fort Wayne area. I have supported mothers and their partners through unmedicated and medicated births alike. Alongside birth work, I am the founder and director of Community Doula Collective, Northeast Indiana's only all certified birth and postpartum doula organization that values education and compassionate care. When I'm not supporting growing families in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area I love spending time with my three children, researching all things health and wellness, homeschooling, making music with my musician husband, and creating a simple and cozy home for our family. My hope is that your pregnancy, future birth, and family transition will be made up of the best of memories and I would love to support you on your unique journey!
