Hi there! I am a birth, and postpartum doula and I work to create a calm and safe space for you as you journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I prioritize your empowered and informed decision making, always turning you back to yourself and your intuition and ensuring you have all the information you need and want. I work with a holistic, traditional and Islamic framework. I believe in bringing in your belief system as the primary anchor to guide you through this process and am able to offer this especially, however not limited, to Muslim clients. When not working you can find me taking a class, running the lake in Oakland, laying in the sun somewhere or hunting for a coffee or smoothie with friends and their littles.

Where do I even begin…. Imane is such a calm and peaceful presence. I only met her four hours before my baby was born — she was introduced to me by my original doula, who couldn’t attend because I was induced unexpectedly two weeks earlier than my due date. Even though we had just met, I immediately felt connected to her warm and positive energy. Inviting someone new into your birthing space isn’t an easy decision, but with Imane, it felt completely natural. She guided me through every contraction with such grace and reassurance that everything felt easier and more manageable. The name we had chosen for our son is Raihaan — and Imane happens to be the founder of “Rawh and Rayhan” same meaning different spelling. It felt like such a heavenly connection, as if things were meant to align that way. I am so grateful I said yes to having Imane step in. She made the birth of my second child feel calm, smooth, and truly special. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Imane! Forever grateful! 🤲🙏💕

My role is to provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support so that you can navigate this transformative time with confidence and care. Hello everyone! I'm so excited to introduce myself to you and share a little about what I do! My name is Kirsten Junghans and I am a DTI full spectrum doula, sleep trainer and postpartum chef. I serve the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a single mother to an 11 year old kiddo named Ivy. As a doula my job is to make sure you know that your curiosities, concerns and questions are valid. The need to be reassured and supported are normal and valid as well. I am an advocate for all birthing individuals. With that being said, it is my responsibility and honor to comfort and support you in labor. I will tirelessly advocate for you to have the birth you want, to answer your questions and to explain what is happening. However, I will not be taking away your power by making every decision for you. This is your body, your birth and your baby. My job as your advocate and support person is to make sure you are informed of all your options, so that you don't ever lose your rights to bodily autonomy when you walk into the hospital. As your advocate I will do my utmost to support you and your choices while explaining your options to you. You are still in control, and that is very important to me! As a postpartum doula, I never overlook the importance of following up with you after your baby's birth. I will support you in the days, weeks or even months afterward. There are many types of support I offer including, feeding support, emotional support, helping you find a rhythm, preparing meals, and holding the baby so you can sleep. Everything I do is done to empower you and help you feel confident in your new role. The most important thing I do during the postpartum period is encourage you to rest and bond with your new baby. The weeks after birth are an immensely beautiful and emotional time. This is not the time to worry about cleaning and jumping back into your normal life. It's time to rest and get to know the child you've waited so long to meet!

I can’t recommend Jaye Danielle enough if you’re considering a doula! Her communication, well-thought-out advice, and preparation were so helpful throughout the whole process. The in-home labor prep was especially helpful in getting us ready for what to expect. Since our daughter was born, Jaye has continued to check in, do postpartum checks, and offer advice and support. I really appreciated having someone knowledgeable to help guide us through not just labor and delivery, but postpartum too. I’m so grateful we had Jaye there to support us through it all. 💗

I am a certified postpartum doula with +6y of hands-on experience supporting families and caring for newborns and children. My approach is grounded in respect, emotional safety, and evidence-based care. I believe the postpartum period is a sacred transition—one that deserves patience, gentleness, and knowledgeable support. My role is to help families feel confident, informed, and truly supported as they recover, bond, and find their own rhythm at home. My philosophy centers on meeting each family where they are. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all parenting; instead, I honor each family’s values, culture, and instincts while offering practical guidance and calm reassurance. I focus on nurturing both the baby and the parents—supporting feeding, sleep, recovery, and emotional wellbeing—so families can feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. My goal is always to create a peaceful, judgment-free environment where parents feel seen, heard, and capable during one of the most important chapters of their lives.

Recent review

Nathalia is the best! She has a sweet and gentle demeanor which puts babies and parents at ease. She is incredibly thoughtful and insightful, and made several recommendations to help us sleep longer (our main priority), which really helped. She also immediately identified a deeper issue I’d been having related to milk supply and raised it incredibly tactfully and helped me move past it. If you’re looking for someone who will truly take care of you and your family, look no further!

I hired Liz to care for my toddler and newborn (prenatally, birth, and postpartum). Needless to say, I couldn’t have done it without her. She is an excellent communicator, very flexible, and approaches this sacred work with warmth and intuition. She always informed me of the details of my baby’s temperament, reactions, feeds, sleep etc, allowing for a smooth handoff. She also provided me with emotional and domestic support - whatever I needed most in that moment. This ability is adapt, along with her knowledge (maternal health, newborn care, toddler development) were evident during every shift. I’m so grateful for the loving connection she’s built with my son—he never wants her to leave! My 9 month old is also getting attached :) 5 stars indeed.

Julia Frederick

I have been a career nanny in San Francisco for 13 years , I have worked steadily for two families that entire time. Since all 4 kids I have helped raise ( two sets of twins) are all now in school, Doula work seemed like a perfect transition. Last year I got my Postpartum Doula license and this year I have been working on my Lactation Consult Certificate. I try very hard to stay current on all pediatric reccomendations for infant care, I am fully vaccinated , current on infant CPR training and I have pristine reccomendations. I feel as if I have been taking care of babies my whole life first, as an aunt, then mama and now I am loving life as a young and energetic Grammy. I get so much satisfaction helping new parents transition succesfully into their new roles as parents. I have had the privilege of helping my daughter for a month postpartum with both of her births, as my mom helped me. It is an honor when I get to step into that role for parents without access to family. Thank you for your consideration, Julia

Recent review

Julia came highly recommended from a close friend, and our relationship started as soon as we got pregnant. She helped us plan for the arrival of our baby with recommendations on what to buy and how to set everything up for a smooth transition into parenthood. She was there when we got back from the hospital and became an essential person in our new family, giving me as a new mom the gift of sleep but also a huge emotional support through some of my hardest days! We always knew our baby was safe when he was with her. I don’t know what we would have done without her. We highly recommend Julia as your post partum doula. She will make this new chapter so much better!
