Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula | Certified Childbirth Educator | Certified Lactation Specialist | Certified Placenta Specialist As a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, I provide calm, nurturing, and evidence-based support for families through pregnancy, birth, and the newborn stage. My goal is to help parents feel informed, confident, and cared for every step of the way. Grant + Leah 2/20/2026 "Mari was assigned to us as a replacement doula when our original doula had a conflicting delivery. Mari immediately reached out and was flexible to our needs in early labor. My wife was laboring hard in triage for 7 hours (there was a major rush at the hospital, we couldn't get a room or her planned epidural for that long) and doesn't know how she would have coped without Mari. She immediately brought a calm presence to our situation while also helping us get the situation under control and manage contractions with various techniques. Mari also helped us execute on our birth plan and encouraged us to get rest whenever possible. We would recommend Mari to anybody seeking a doula." I truly cannot recommend my doula enough. She was by my side throughout my entire pregnancy journey, always there whenever I needed her—and often before I even realized I did. No question, concern, or doubt was ever too small. She patiently answered everything, reassured me, and helped prepare me both physically and mentally for a natural birth. She even provided monthly massages and other techniques that helped me feel more comfortable throughout my pregnancy. But my greatest gratitude is for everything she did during my labor. When my contractions started in the middle of the night, she came to my home at 2 a.m. without hesitation. She stayed with me through every single contraction, helping me cope with hip squeezes, lower back pressure, massage, acupuncture, labor combs, and a TENS machine. She continuously adjusted her techniques to help ease my pain and keep me focused. Around 9 a.m., we went to the hospital together, and she remained by my side for the entire labor until my baby was born. She stayed with me until 11 p.m., never leaving me alone. She advocated for me, made sure my birth preferences were respected, and did everything she could to make the experience as calm, positive, and empowering as possible. What makes her truly exceptional is her compassion. She doesn’t treat this as just a job—you can genuinely feel how deeply she cares about the mothers she supports. She gives her whole heart to making your pregnancy, labor, and birth experience as beautiful and comfortable as possible. Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy, and I honestly can’t imagine going through labor without her. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and incredibly caring doula, I recommend her with all my heart.

Hi, I’m Marlene, a certified postpartum doula based in Chicago with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families. My professional journey began in childcare, where I gained extensive hands on experience through babysitting, professional nannying, international au pair work, and early childhood education. As my experience and passion for supporting families grew, I transitioned that strong foundation into postpartum and newborn care. Today, I bring the knowledge and perspective gained throughout my career into my postpartum doula practice, supporting families as they adjust to life with a new baby. I am DONA trained, certified through Birth and Baby University’s cross training program, CPR and First Aid certified, NICU trained, and currently pursuing a Holistic Infant Sleep Certification. Raised in Mexico, where caring for new mothers is often a shared community responsibility, I bring warmth, reassurance, heart, and compassionate support to every family I work with. Marlene was such a blessing for our new family. She provided overnight support for our newborn from birth until ~6 weeks. Since this was our first baby, she immediately made us feel at ease and supported with her warmth and friendliness. Marlene is very professional: was always on time, followed our lead/routines, and offered a wealth of knowledge and advice when asked. She provided us tips for soothing, feeding, and sleep shaping to encourage longer stretches of overnight sleep (which was so valuable for us as new parents!) based on what she observed with our daughter. It is so clear that she is extremely experienced and absolutely adores what she does. We cannot thank her enough for supporting us in the early weeks - it made a world of difference in adjusting to our new lives as parents. I would recommend her to anybody who needs postpartum or family support, day or night!

JulieAnn worked with our family as a night nurse for our baby Cindy from birth to 10 weeks. She was reliable, gentle with our baby, and provided helpful support during the newborn stage. I was able to sleep fully sound knowing our baby was in good hands. We appreciated her assistance during those early weeks as we adjusted to life with a new baby!

I am a Birth Doula and Lactation Specialist serving the Chicagoland area. I have three kiddos ages 3, 6, and 7, and I have been married to my wonderful husband Eli for 8 years. I am a native Chicagoan and call the Northwest side of the city my home. I have a Bachelor’s in Health Science, hold two Birth Doula certifications from accredited certifying organizations, and have received specialized training in Lactation, Spinning Babies, and High-risk Pregnancy Support. Additionally, I am CPR certified and an Evidence-Based Birth® Professional. With hundreds of hours of prenatal, birth, and postpartum support I have walked alongside over 100 families throughout the Chicagoland area preparing them for their birth and postpartum experience. My experience spans a wide variety of birth settings and situations. This includes unmedicated home births, medicated hospital births, elective inductions, medically necessary inductions (for preE, choleostasis, GDM, IUGR, etc.), planned cesareans, VBACs, and high-risk pregnancy births. I frequently attends births at Prentice, Evanston, Rush, Hinsdale, Masonic, and many other Chicago hospitals. My heart is to meet each family exactly where they are, offering personalized resources, thoughtful guidance, and steady support through every ebb and flow of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I bring warmth, compassion, and evidence-based care to every family I serve. When I’m not at a birth or meeting families for a prenatal visit, you can find me outdoors bopping around at the nearest forest preserve with my troops, visiting local farmers market on a Sunday morning, rollerskating not-so-gracefully around my neighborhood, or cozying up with a good read

First time pregnancy and I will NEVER deliver without her! 💟 The support, encouragement and knowledge that is given by Elly is beyond reassuring! Her assistance with exercises and stretches to alleviate pelvic pain and/or hip pain was such a relief! She not only told/demonstrated which ones would help best, but she also involved my partner and assisted teaching him on how to help me when I was in pain. Most importantly, in the delivery room she was SUCH a help in advocating what I wanted my birth to look like. Which took a huge weight off of mine & my partner’s shoulders and allowed us to really be present in that beautiful moment. I am forever grateful to her. She has checked up on me multiple times during my postpartum and offered resources for any further assistance I felt I needed (lactation consulting, etc.).

Huddle has been an absolute Godsend for us. Our little one was discharged from the NICU, after a total of 17 hospital nights, and my husband and I were struggling with feeding him. We knew we needed support from licensed nurses rather than typical caretakers. Jessica and Huddle absolutely changed our post pardom lives. Huddle provided us with daytime, as well as overnight services. Knowing our baby was in the hands of experienced, licensed, nurses while I rested and recovered, was the biggest peace of mind. We were working on feeding goals in tandem with our pediatrician and Huddle. Together we nursed our baby from a tiny guy, to a little chunk! Without Huddle, I dont think my husband and I would have been able to get our guy as healthy as he is today. We are using the telehealth service as well. Jessica is so knowledgeable and has answers for all of our questions. Its so nice being able to connect with a consistent provider, and have quick, easy access when we have those first time parent questions! One thing Id wish we'd done differently is scheduled Huddle from when I was pregnant rather than after birth. Having services set up from right when we got home would have been the best. If youre considering Huddle and are currently pregnant, I would schedule in advance!

Having Rachel on my birth team was the best decision I could have made. She was a rock for me throughout, and was such a source of peace and calm for me. Rachel valued my preferences for my birth plan without judgment and held true to advocating for me at all times. My birth story had many unexpected turns, and Rachel stayed by my side, along with my husband, for the wild ride. I had Rachel with me in the birth center and at the hospital after a transfer was needed. She never missed a beat and took care of me so thoughtfully. From the first interview to prenatal appointments to the actual birth of my first baby, Rachel kept looking out for me and helped me feel empowered throughout my birth journey. She even took pictures and helped transport my placenta for encapsulation, which was so helpful because we remained at the hospital for longer than expected. I felt like Rachel was one of the best parts of my birth story, and I know she would be a wonderful addition to any birth team!

Annette Yen served as a doula for both of my pregnancies. She had several conversations with me leading up to labor and delivery to understand my medical history, the nature of my pregnancies, and any fears or concerns I had along the way. Annette was able to provide me with encouragement as well as practical support through resources and studies on questions I had. My youngest daughter flipped between breech and cephalic positions several times to where she was breech the week leading up to her due date. Annette provided me with much needed encouragement during this stressful time. She also did exercises with me, provided me with guidance and resources, and lent me tools to help with getting baby to turn. I am happy to say that my baby had flipped just in time for delivery!! Once I called Annette to tell her I was heading in to the hospital, she dropped everything and was promptly in the labor and delivery room with me. During labor, she guided my husband and mom in ways to assist me in pain management and she empowered me to listen to my instincts. Annette also made sure my wishes for delayed cord cutting and immediate skin-to-skin time were carried out which allowed me and my family to fully embrace the moment of our daughter’s birth. Annette is a wonderful, caring person with an excellent bedside manner and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a doula.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Rebecca! She helped us get our 15-month-old on a consistent and steady sleep schedule, and the difference has been amazing. She was knowledgeable, patient, supportive, and really took the time to understand our child’s individual needs. The strides our little one has made in learning to sleep independently has been a game changer for our family!
