Hi there, I'm Jen, the doula and photographer! I offer maternity, birth and newborn sessions. I am married to my wonderful husband with whom I share seven energetic kiddos, ranging in age from 1 to 12 years! My personal birth experiences, a mix of hospital and home, are what ultimately ignited my passion for helping other women along in their journey to motherhood. It baffled me that so many women don't receive the support and education they deserve. My youngest 3 children were born at home, and I was then able to finally experience how powerfully transformative birth can be when done with absolute support and reverence to the process. It wasn't until the birth of my 7th child, I felt the Lord impress upon my heart to pursue birth work. After linking up with Sylvia Scarlett, I attended a DONA International doula training course with the amazing Rae Davies to gain a broader perspective of birth, aside from my very own, diverse experiences. All of which has helped shape me to become the woman, mother, and doula I am today. Hello my name is Nia, I was introduced to the wonderful world of birth work during my sister’s pregnancy. As I was helping the practitioner, she hinted at the fact that she was a Doula. Adding, that I would do well in that field due to my caring nature. After more research, I began seeing the need for this service and fell in love with this industry. In 2019, I became a Dona trained Birth Doula, obtained certifications in: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), Postpartum Doula(PPD), Basic Life Support(BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CPR, First Aid and trained in Benkung Belly Binding. I’ve had the pleasure of supporting parents with their newborns days and nights, provided care for families across states, families with multiples, parents with disabilities and supported births in both hospitals and birth centers. I’ve learned to be more understanding, open to new ideas and sensitive in different situations. It’s everything I thought it would be and more. I still find the time to be a supportive wife to my husband, homeschool my son, sing , brush up on my Spanish even play Pickle ball. Hola, padres! I’m Ariana, but you can call me Ari. If I’m not enjoying a Sunday siesta with my family, you’ll likely find me with Street Tacos and a Mexican Lager in hand. I founded Step by Step Baby Consulting under the belief that a restful night’s sleep and lactation support is needed and deserved by ALL families. When I found out I was pregnant with my 1st child, I was an overly-confident parent-to-be. I’d had 17 years of auntie duties, had fostered my 3-year-old niece, and was going to have my mom by my side. When I was 7 months pregnant, my mother suddenly passed away & I was hit with an immense depression. I survived by concentrating on the arrival of my son. After my son was born, I realized he was a challenging little sleeper. I compulsively read & researched all things baby sleep, but nothing helped. I endured 8 months of sleepless nights & finally hit rock bottom. It was 2 am, my son was on his 3rd wake up of the night, I went into his room, held him, & cried along his side. The next day, my Doctor recommended I hire a Pediatric Sleep Consultant to help with my PPD & PPA. I quickly hired one, and by day 3, my son was actually napping/sleeping through the night & I was finally able to bond with him! I know what it’s like to be in the parenting trenches, exasperated by sleep deprivation. When we partner together, I want you to feel comfortable enough to let your guard down and chat honestly about what’s been going on. Because here, you’ll never be judged.

Hi everyone! Im Dawn! Single mom of three amazing kids, 2 boys and a girl. Ages 24,19, and 14. I have been a Registered Nurse for 19 years now. During those 19 years I have work in the maternal/child field, starting in mother/baby and now I am a level 4 Neonatal ICU nurse. I have being in the NICU for a majority of my career because these babies and all babies are where my heart and passion are. In the NICU it’s a true roller coaster ride for our parents. I love being there to support them in the highs and lows. Recently I started thinking about how anxious they must be going home after being with us 100+ days. (Not all babies stay that long) I thought, wow, wouldn’t it be great to have a nurse to help them out their first month home. Help them ease their way into life outside of the hospital. So I started looking into this journey. I would love to be a part of your family and help anyone with that anxiousness of being their new baby home.
