About me

Hello! My name is LaTrisha Jenkins-Pridgeon. I am the owner of Graceful Hands Doula Care. I'm a labor & birth and postpartum doula in Lansing, Michigan. I serve Ingham, Eaton, Clinton and Genesee counties. My journey into birth work began after facing challenges with preeclampsia, tachycardia, postpartum preeclampsia and experiencing first hand the gaps in our black maternal health care system, while advocating for myself and my baby during labor. I am a DONA International trained doula. My holistic, calming and client-centered approach enables me to provide nurturing and evidence-based care. My goal is to ensure birthing people are being heard throughout their entire birthing experience and have equitable health outcomes. It is essential for birthing people and their families to be informed while feeling empowered and supported every step of the way. When not educating and advocating for birthing people, I enjoy spending time taking walks with my family, trying out new recipes, and finding interesting restaurants to visit while traveling. I look forward to gracefully supporting you! I accept self-pay and the following Medicaid plans: - McLaren - UnitedHealthcare Services: -prenatal -labor & birth -postpartum -birth plan -nesting -sibling support -nursery mood board -bereavement I look forward to gracefully supporting you!
