She helped me through my 33 hours of mostly unmedicated labor by providing foot and head massages, hip pressure, back rubs, and so much more. She also made sure the hospital staff were aware of my birth plan and advocated for me and helped me decide what was right when they suggested we deviate from it. She made labor and delivery so much better than it would have been that I will never have another baby without her.

Charlee has been so incredible to work with!! She has the kindest and most calming presence. My water broke a month early with my first, late at night and my husband and I were in shock. Charlee came to the hospital so quickly and jumped right in to help me and help my husband know how to help me. She was so attentive to all of our questions during pregnancy, labor and postpartum. She was so aware of us. She’s been so sweet to check in on us and our baby many times. She brought us the yummiest food, chatted and offered help postpartum. Working with Whitney as our doula was one of the greatest decisions we made for our birth. She was absolutely incredible! From the very beginning, she jumped into action and had an amazing ability to read the room and know exactly what was needed all while maintaining a calm presence. One of our biggest hopes in hiring a doula was for my husband to feed confident and supported during labor, and Whitney exceeded every expectation. During our pre-labor visits, she walked us through our birth plan, answered all of our questions, and taught us strategies and techniques for pain management. Throughout the weeks leading up to birth, she stayed in close contact, checking in over text and offering reassurance whenever we needed it. When I was induced, Whitney was the first one at the hospital. My labor involved more interventions than I had hoped for, and she helped me understand each one, talk through my options, and know what questions to ask the midwives. Through every contraction, she was right there providing counter pressure and steady emotional support. Even though my birth took unexpected turns and didn’t follow my original plan, Whitney helped make it a magical, empowering and truly beautiful experience. I love taking a physiology first approach to interventions, meaning that regardless of what medical support you need (or want) during your birth we are setting up your body for success by optimizing it's natural processes. (This is great for natural minded mamas who want an epidural or need a medical induction). To do that we start prenatally. I offer a full online birth course with a physiology first perspective in hospital settings, and we do the work together to adjust mindsets, clear fears, improve our health and baby's positioning, and prepare for the unknowns (including NICU and C-Section). During your birth, I love supporting physiology regardless of what interventions come our way. This can look anything from helping you into positions with a peanut ball to open the levels of your pelvis while you rest with your epidural, to supporting the natural flow of oxytocin during a labor induction. I want you to feel supported, respected, and confident that you made the best decisions for you and your baby.

On my second birth but learned so much. Sarah was really great at pointing me in the right direction for information and giving me points to think about, nutrition to take and excises to do to make birth easier. So happy to have worked with Sarah! Would highly recommend!
