I feel so blessed that I was able to have Jenna during the end of my pregnancy, during the birth of my son, and postpartum. It is so evident that she really cares so much, and I was so grateful for all the check ins during my pregnancy and postpartum!! No question was ever too much for her and I’m so grateful for her extensive knowledge, kindness and care. My birth didn’t go as I had initially planned, but Jenna helped us to ensure this birth experience was positive and helped us to navigate decisions we didn’t anticipate. She helped me feel at peace when I had questions and helped me feel empowered to make decisions that I knew were best for me. When I had complications after birth, she even drove back to the hospital to be there for me and my husband- I mean amazing!! My only regret is not finding her sooner! I didn’t initially plan on having a doula, but I am SO glad I found Jenna and would recommend her to anyone whether this is your first baby or your 3rd! I know my birth experience would have been drastically different if it weren’t for her. Thank you Jenna, we are so very thankful for you!!

Before I went to Jade's childbirth class at Montclair BABY, I had never heard of a doula. Her class was holistic of all the options during labor and delivery, and my husband and I felt like Jade could be the perfect support person to ease my anxiety during pregnancy and labor. We were absolutely right. Jade offered continuous comfort and information for me throughout my pregnancy. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and gave advice for things I hadn't even considered. Being someone who has always been terrified of childbirth, Jade eased my anxiety leaps and bounds. We prepared for it beforehand, but once I went into labor, Jade supported us over the phone and at my home before we went to the hospital. My birth went from something that I used to fear, to something I now look back on with fond memories (I think that's a wild transformation) and I truly credit a lot of that to Jade. She was an advocate for me at the hospital, she rarely left my side except when I needed alone time with my husband, and she encouraged me. She worked cooperatively with the rest of the birth team. Dare I say birth was actually a little fun? I whole heartedly recommend Jade as a doula and would love to have her at my future births. There really aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am for her.

I have been helping to improve birth experiences in NYC and Westchester County for over a decade. This is my philosophy: You don’t become a different person when you become pregnant, begin labor, enter your birthing space, or bring your baby home for the first time. You’re still you, having an intense and transformative life experience. As your doula, I take the time to learn who you are and what will help you and your family to feel comfortable, informed, prepared, and ready to engage with your birth, both in advance and through the ever-changing moments of the birth process. I am passionate, flexible, and comforting, but also grounded, no-nonsense, and strongly evidence-based.

First of all, I must commend the Doula Project itself as an invaluable advocate. Sometimes the medical establishment views us within categories--especially when we are unusual as a result of identity--while the Doula Project listens to us as individuals in order to advocate for us to have the birth closest to our ideal within the context of medical wisdom. From the start I really appreciated Vicki's encouraging me to ask questions, to determine what the range of choices was, and to understand the benefits and risks of each decision. In my own case, I did decide because of advanced maternal age and medical advice to have an induced labor. Vicki was there to meet me at the hospital when I checked in, and she made sure that between her and her Doula Project partner on my case, I always had a doula to advocate for me from start to finish, through 27 hours of labor and beyond. Indeed, Vicki took the first photo of my baby, within minutes of her birth! From our first pre-birth meeting, Vicki correctly identified me as a physically fit person who would benefit from maintaining a physically active relationship to my labor and delivery. I brought a yoga mat and pilates ring to the hospital, and Vicki advocated for my being able to use them, even though my baby had to be monitored throughout the induced labor: we set up my yoga and pilates equipment right next to the bed, and Vicki advocated for periodic breaks from the monitor, especially in light of the fact that my baby was doing so well throughout. When I delivered my daughter, I surprised a number of the doctors, including one who thought a C-section would be a foregone conclusion, by delivering vaginally, after only about five minutes of pushing. I am very grateful to Vicki for her steadfast advocacy that led to such a positive birth experience for me and my daughter.

Recent review

Eloise was worth her weight in gold during a difficult birth that didn't go to plan. My hope was to labor at home as long as possible and to have an unmedicated water birth. However, I unfortunately developed preeclampsia with severe features, which necessitated an emergency induction at 37 weeks and being confined to the bed on a magnesium drip for the duration of the multi-day labor. I called in Eloise for support during a very low point in my labor, when my epidural had failed and dilation had not progressed for hours. Eloise immediately created a peaceful environment with candles, essential oils, and gentle music, and employed massage, heat therapy, and a TENS unit to promote relaxation. In the first three hours after Eloise's arrival, my dilation suddenly advanced from five to over nine centimeters, a fact which I absolutely attribute to the deep sense of safety she provided. When it came time to deliver my son, I was struggling with feeling weak and depleted after a long, overwhelming labor. Eloise calmly encouraged me through each and every contraction during three hours of pushing. I truly believe that there's no way I would have been able to fulfill my goal of having a vaginal birth if not for her steady presence and her guidance on how to make my pushing more effective. In the weeks following the birth, I ended up suffering from a painful and persistent uterine infection. I had not purchased a postpartum package from Eloise, but she continued to check in with me nonetheless, a testament to the genuine care she has for her clients. Having Eloise as my doula was an extraordinary silver lining of a challenging birth experience. My husband and I are so grateful for Eloise and would unreservedly recommend her to anyone.

I met Gina TWO weeks before my due date, but she managed to make me feel like she had been there my entire pregnancy. Gina made sure I knew I had options and a CHOICE. My milk didn't come in until 8 days later, which was a true struggle for me mentally. Gina was there every step on the way- teaching me and encouraging me. I am now 3months pp and I use Gina as my google search engine for all things breastfeeding/breastmilk related. Lol. Gina is kind, patient, professional, calm, incredibly knowledgeable, and a true advocate to have in your corner. I would have given up on my breastfeeding journey if it had not been for her! I can't thank her enough for everything she has done and does for me. Gina is someone you need in your corner.

I'm a Houston birth doula, childbirth educator, and birth photographer — and after 10 years and more than 130 births, I can tell you with complete certainty: this work chose me just as much as I chose it. I'm a wife, a mom, and a Fulshear local who is genuinely, deeply invested in the families I serve. The moment you reach out, you're not just a client on my calendar — you're someone I'm going to show up for, advocate for, and think about long after your baby is in your arms. I started this work because I saw too many women walk out of their births feeling like something had happened to them instead of with them. I wanted to change that. Ten years later, that's still the whole point. Birth isn't one-size-fits-all, and it's not mine to decide how yours should go. My job is to make sure you walk in informed, supported, and confident enough to trust yourself — whatever that looks like for your family. You might be planning a medicated hospital birth. A VBAC. A home birth. A birth you're terrified of and hoping someone can help you get through. I've been there for all of it, and I'll meet you exactly where you are — without an agenda, without judgment, and without flinching. You can be scared. I'm not. - 10 years of birth work - 130+ births attended across Houston, Katy, Cypress, Fulshear, and surrounding areas - Certified birth doula and childbirth educator - Hospital-experienced at Houston Methodist West, Memorial Hermann Katy, The Women's Hospital of Texas, and Methodist Willowbrook, Methodist Medical Center, Texas Children’s, and more.

We hired Alysa for the birth of our first child, and I truly cannot imagine going through the experience without her. When I got pregnant, neither my husband nor I knew the first thing about pregnancy, labor, birth plans, or caring for a newborn. After a few OB appointments, a friend asked me what my birth plan was, and I had no idea what she was talking about. Thankfully, she had worked with Alysa and referred us to her. While we liked my doctor, we quickly realized we weren’t getting much education about labor, delivery, or the options available to us. Alysa completely filled that gap. During pregnancy, she met with us for six educational sessions that prepared us for what was happening with my body, what our birth options were, and the pros and cons of each. She never pushed an agenda and was incredibly supportive of whatever birth experience we wanted, whether that meant a planned induction, an unmedicated birth, or anything in between. When labor started, Alysa came to the hospital at 3am and stayed right by my side, supporting me in every way I needed until our daughter arrived safely. One of the things I appreciated most was that her support didn’t end after birth. She also provides three postpartum visits that you can schedule however you need them, whether that’s help with the baby, getting questions answered, taking a nap, or even enjoying your first date night as new parents. My birth experience was nothing short of amazing, and I give so much credit to Alysa for helping me feel informed, empowered, and confident as a new mother. She didn’t just support me through labor, she helped prepare both of us for parenthood. Thank you, Alysa. We are forever grateful for you.

I found Camila through Carrot’s recommended list of postpartum doulas, and as a first-time mom, I’ll admit I was nervous about having someone else care for my daughter. After our consultation, I had such a good feeling about Camila, and that’s where it all began. We had Camila with us for six weeks, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better postpartum doula. Her experience with babies is evident in everything she does. She cared for my daughter as if she were her own—with so much patience, love, and understanding, even through the most restless nights. Beyond caring for my daughter, Camila was also an incredible source of support for me. She gave me so many helpful tips and advice as a new mom, and I’m incredibly grateful for the confidence she helped give me during those early weeks. She was not only our doula but also became a friend who was there to help me navigate the ups and downs of new motherhood. Knowing my daughter was in such capable and loving hands allowed me to truly rest at night, which was invaluable during those first six weeks. I’m so grateful we found Camila and would highly recommend her to any new mom looking for compassionate, experienced, and trustworthy postpartum support. She was such an important part of our transition into parenthood, and we’ll always appreciate everything she did for our family.

My doula instructor, Michelle Gabriel-Caldwell, was truly exceptional. From the very first class, she set the tone for an open and supportive learning environment that encouraged honesty, curiosity, and self-growth. Her teaching style was unlike any other instructor I’ve had—she didn’t just read from a textbook. Instead, she brought the curriculum to life by sharing real-world experiences, lessons learned, and genuine passion for birth work. It was evident that she lives what she teaches and cares deeply about preparing her students to succeed not just in theory, but in practice. What stood out most about Michelle was her honesty and transparency. She didn’t sugarcoat what it means to be a doula or the realities that come with supporting mothers, babies, and families. She was upfront about the emotional and physical challenges that can arise, as well as the deep sense of purpose this work can bring. Her authenticity made me feel empowered to embrace every part of this journey the beautiful moments and the hard ones too Each lesson built upon the last in a way that was practical and meaningful. She encouraged dialogue, welcomed questions, and valued every student’s perspective. Her patience, compassion, and professionalism inspired me to become a doula who leads with both skill and heart. She reminded us that being a doula is not only about assisting during labor and birth, but also about advocacy, education, and emotional support that uplifts the entire family. The PHEI Doula Training Program under her instruction exceeded all expectations. Michelle Gabriel-Caldwell has a gift for teaching that blends knowledge, passion, and purpose. Because of her guidance, I completed this training with confidence, clarity, and a deeper commitment to serving women and families in my community. I am grateful for her dedication to empowering future doulas and for helping me discover my calling in this meaningful work.

As first time parents, my wife and I went into her pregnancy with nervous anticipation. Even after reading the books, going to feeding seminars and ingesting as much information as possible there was still the fear of the unknown. Brie calmed all of those fears with her knowledge, experience and calm demeanor. I will never forget her steady hand when we faced unexpected challenges. She took my and my wife's fears and confusion, explained our options and helped give us the birthing experience that we wanted. I could not imagine doing this again without her. I can't express my gratitude enough Brie. You helped deliver my daughter and for that I will always be grateful.

Working with Amelia as our HypnoBirthing companion was truly transformative! Over the course of two months in September and October, she guided my husband and me with such kindness, humor, compassion, and grounded presence that after each in-person session, it felt as though we had known her for years. From the very beginning, Amelia created a warm, safe, and engaging space that allowed me to move from extreme fear and uncertainty about pregnancy and birth to feeling calm, confident, and genuinely excited for my birthing day. My husband looked forward to every class, as Amelia gave him tangible, meaningful ways to support me during pregnancy and to be an active, empowered partner during labor. Her teachings not only brought the two of us closer, but also helped us deepen our bond with our baby and equipped us with tools we will continue to use throughout parenthood and in many parts of our personal and professional lives. I am forever grateful to Amelia for sharing her knowledge and expertise in HypnoBirthing. She helped us prepare for the arrival of our baby boy with calm, clarity, peace, and joy and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide on this journey. I miss her dearly but will always take her spirit and teachings with me moving forward. What a gift she is to this world!

I help educate with both evidence based research and experience, we will review birth preferences, and I will provide both physical and emotional support during labor, birth, and postpartum.

Sara was EVERYTHING I needed. From the first visit, I knew she was a great fit for my family. She even did a 'big sister class' with my 6 year old. During our ongoing visits, she gave me strength & courage & information to make decisions. During labor, She spent hours applying pressure to my hips & talking me through every movement & contraction. She pushed me to keep going when I felt like quitting & was gentle with me when needed. I can't recommend her enough. I am so thankful she was my doula, she's worth her weight in gold and I truly believe she was made for this! Book her now, I promise you won't regret it!
