The cost of a night nanny in Linden, NJ can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Linden, NJ, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

A Truly Exceptional Doula Experience Hiring Aisolen Marcial was hands down one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy journey. From the moment we met her, we felt instantly at ease. Her calm presence, deep knowledge, and genuine care created a sense of trust and safety that carried us through every step of labor and delivery. Throughout our prenatal visits, Aisolen took the time to really understand our hopes, fears, and birth preferences. She offered evidence-based information without pressure and helped us feel empowered to make informed decisions. She was always just a text away when we had questions or needed support. During labor, Aisolen was our anchor. She brought such a peaceful energy into the room, offering physical comfort, emotional reassurance, and quiet encouragement exactly when we needed it. Whether it was helping with breathing techniques, massage, or just being a supportive presence, she anticipated our needs before we even voiced them. Dedicated Birth and Postpartum Doula, while pursing a nursing degree during my labor and delivery clinical I knew this was my passion to provide compassionate support throughout the birthing process and postpartum. As a certified doula, I bring a wealth of 15 years experience and expertise to every birth and postpartum service, fostering a nurturing and informed environment for birthing individuals and their partners. My journey into birth work began with a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of childbirth and the importance of holistic support during this profound life event. With an open mind for hospital settings and pain relief when needed. I have supported numerous families through various birthing experiences, including hospital births and home births. Allowing couples to have a safe and informative space to relax and have their birth be just as intimate as they'd like. Natural hormones are key into relaxing mom! Music, sound and lighting plays a part in allowing that intimacy to play out. This sets the tone for a calm postpartum recovery onto healing and adaptation to a new routine. My approach to doula care is centered around empathy, education, and advocacy. I have worked seven years as an investigator for medical malpractice and seen what goes wrong when women aren’t allowed informed consent. I am committed to ensuring that each client feels empowered, informed, and respected as they navigate the journey of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. My goal is to provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support, tailoring my services to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual and family whether it be medicated or unmedicated. All women deserve the right to make informed decisions based on there individual needs. Also being a certified life coach for five years has gifted me with the skills to help families navigate through postpartum, new routines/added or changed. But most importantly to give clients the support they need to not feel alone or overwhelmed during these times. Normalizing chaos and not feeling okay, but empowering them to know that they can and will get through these times and they will adjust. While also providing them with lactation support whatever that may be for each families preference. With a warm and nurturing presence, coupled with a steadfast commitment to my clients, I strive to create a positive and empowering birth and postpartum experience that will be cherished for a lifetime. Whether providing emotional support during labor, advocating for informed decision-making, or offering guidance and or resources in the postpartum period, teaching newborn care and up keeping self care. I am forever honored to be a part of each family's unique journey into parenthood. I take great pride in working with woman giving them the care and support they need to trust their mind, body and soul.

She is an excellent advocate who is generous with her time and knowledge, ensuring that both the birthing and support parent were in a good position for the birth experience - before, during, and after. As first-time expecting parents there was a lot to learn even with regard to terminology, medical situations, and the outcomes that we wanted to achieve. Alisha's confidence makes you confident. She's great under pressure and remained communicative throughout our delivery. You can't control how things will unfold on the big day. While we had our best-case scenario planned out, things evolve and we were pressed to navigate changing circumstances when my water broke without any other signs of active labor. This put us on a countdown clock yet we remained calm, opted into certain interventions on our timeline, and were able to achieve the vaginal delivery as intended. We credit this to our preparation and real-time guidance with Alisha. Lastly, Alisha just has a great personality and treats you as a real friend. She genuinely cares about you as more than just clients and we looked forward to our time spent with her. We strongly recommend working with Alisha for any of the services that she offers!

Chamaine Lucas-Jones

My name is Chamaine, I am Birthing Postpartum Doula with a deep commitment to supporting families through one of life’s most transformative experiences. I bring a nurturing presence and a calm, reassuring approach to help create a warm and comforting environment where parents feel truly supported and valued. My mission is to offer compassionate, knowledgeable care to families welcoming new life—guiding them through both the joyful moments and the inevitable challenges with patience, empathy, and expertise. In addition to my core practice, I have experience working in kosher kitchens and providing attentive, respectful care for infants following their bris, ensuring families feel confident and cared for during this sacred time.

Recent review

We had the pleasure of having Chamaine support and guide us for the first five weeks after our daughter was born via C-section. As first-time parents returning home after a difficult pregnancy followed by a brief NICU stay, we felt very overwhelmed and anxious about entering the new phase of our lives. Chamaine was like a ray of sunshine entering our home, providing us with an instant sense of warmth and comfort. She made a concerted effort to connect with and care for our entire family, including our newborn daughter, our (extremely needy) dog, and both of us parents. We’ve gleaned so much valuable knowledge from Chamaine that we will surely carry with us throughout parenthood. We couldn’t have asked for someone more nurturing, responsible, thoughtful, and attentive to care for our daughter, and it brought us so much peace to know that she was in such great hands each day and night. We were so lucky to have had Chamaine as our baby nurse, and none of us (dog included!) could have gotten through this challenging adjustment period without her. We appreciate her tremendously and she will always be a very special part of our family!

Chandel is a gem! She was communicative from the start, and went the extra mile when it came to insurance verification, which is usually an annoying process. She was such a calming and supportive presence during those overwhelming first few weeks with our newborn. Her steady reassurance, patience, and kindness made a huge difference for our family during a challenging transition. We felt genuinely cared for and supported every step of the way.

Before I went to Jade's childbirth class at Montclair BABY, I had never heard of a doula. Her class was holistic of all the options during labor and delivery, and my husband and I felt like Jade could be the perfect support person to ease my anxiety during pregnancy and labor. We were absolutely right. Jade offered continuous comfort and information for me throughout my pregnancy. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and gave advice for things I hadn't even considered. Being someone who has always been terrified of childbirth, Jade eased my anxiety leaps and bounds. We prepared for it beforehand, but once I went into labor, Jade supported us over the phone and at my home before we went to the hospital. My birth went from something that I used to fear, to something I now look back on with fond memories (I think that's a wild transformation) and I truly credit a lot of that to Jade. She was an advocate for me at the hospital, she rarely left my side except when I needed alone time with my husband, and she encouraged me. She worked cooperatively with the rest of the birth team. Dare I say birth was actually a little fun? I whole heartedly recommend Jade as a doula and would love to have her at my future births. There really aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am for her.

Debbie was incredible support during the first few weeks of caring for our newborn daughter as I recovered from delivery and we adjusted to parenthood as first-time parents. Her top priority was always our daughter’s care, handling everything related to her needs, including diaper changes, laundry, and organizing her belongings. Debbie is kind, patient, respectful, and extremely professional. She made us feel comfortable and confident while teaching us essential newborn care skills, from diapering and feeding to bathing and soothing. Beyond hands-on care, she helped us stay organized, offered thoughtful product recommendations, and shared valuable tips for the future. Her knowledge, calm demeanor, and supportive approach made a meaningful difference during such a sensitive and important time in our lives.

Joan Sherwood

I am Joan Sherwood, founder of Peaceful Beginnings To You. My calling to become a doula was born from a personal experience. During the birth of my child, I was left alone in a hospital room without any support. My spouse and brother were sent home because I was not in active labor. My water had broken, so I was admitted, and I faced the daunting process of labor alone, in a secluded area until it was time to push. This experience, where I delivered a 9 -pound, 2-ounce baby without my loved one's present, ignited my passion to ensure that no other person would have to endure such solitude. My journey as a doula began 25 years ago when I assisted a family member through labor. Since then, I have been a source of support and guidance for family and friends, which eventually led me to pursue certification as a birth doula through DONA International. I am deeply committed to holistic birth and postpartum care, and my extensive training reflects this dedication. My education includes a Family Development Credential, studies at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the Center for Homeopathic Education, and the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences. I am also a certified Calm Birth Instructor, Infant Massage Instructor Trainer, Womb Sauna Practitioner, and have received postpartum training from Indigemama, BirthMama, Traditional Postpartum Practitioner, and Birth Arts International. My approach to doula care is centered on the needs of the laboring person. I come with no preconceived notions, and I remain as fluid and flexible as possible to meet the evolving needs of each individual. In addition, to running my private doula practice, I have provided doula care to underserved communities as a doula and doula mentor for a federally funded program in Brooklyn.

Joan was my doula for both my pregnancies, one in 2014 for my now 8 year old and again during the pandemic for my 2 year old. I highly recommend Joan she provided such consistent support during both pregnancy, while birthing and postpartum. I was so fortune because Joan is just naturally resourceful and intuitive and she was right by my side every step the way. To this day I consider her such an empowering and beautiful human being and I am thankful that she was with me on my journey into motherhood -- I would choose her again and again and again!!!

Recent review

We had an incredible experience with our birth doula, Elizabeth, and cannot recommend her enough. She is truly down to earth, kind, caring, supportive, and knowledgeable. From the very beginning, Elizabeth made herself available by phone, and we always felt comfortable and confident reaching out with questions before labor. Once I went into labor, it was reassuring to notify her and she generously made herself available to support us. During labor, Elizabeth provided amazing emotional support and helped me through some of the rougher contractions with tools and support. She was also a strong advocate and helped guide us through decision making in the labor process. In addition to offering knowledge and guidance, having another familiar, calming face in the room made a huge difference. Elizabeth took the time to really get to know us before labor and followed up with a visit afterward, which meant so much. Having a doula like Elizabeth added an extra layer of support, advocacy, and reassurance that allowed us to feel more grounded, informed, and cared for throughout the entire experience. We truly loved having her as part of our birth and are so grateful for the role she played in it.

Hi my name is Curbeth Tappin founder of Embrace a New Love postpartum services. I am a postpartum doula with 13 years of experience, providing exceptional care to families during the perinatal period. My journey into this field was inspired by my upbringing in a household with a mother who was a midwife, where I witnessed the miracle of birth and recognized the need for more support for both the birthing parent and baby during the postpartum period. As a postpartum doula, I offer comprehensive support to new mothers, including lactation assistance and daily infant care such as feeding and bathing. When working overnight, I ensures the baby's sleep environment is safe and maintains a detailed journal of sleep and feeding patterns. Trained by DONA International, I am well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide excellent care to both newborns and parents. My passion for postpartum care shines through in my dedication to helping families navigate this transformative time with comfort and confidence.

Curbeth Tappin helped my family. Curbeth was the postpartum doula for my sister a few years before I got pregnant with my 4th child. My sister recommended that I hire her because of how much she helped her with her daughter. Curbeth came into my home after my son’s birth and had the nursery completely organized. She assisted me to acclimate the older children with the new baby. She allowed me to rest while she took care of my son. Although I had 3 other children this time breastfeeding was a bit of a struggle. Curbeth provided lactation support as well as emotional support, which I needed to get through that difficult period. She stayed and worked with my family for 3 month. A couple months later i found out I was pregnant with my 5th and last child. Curbeth returned and provided the same amazing support she provided the first time. Having 2 child under 2 years old was a very difficult, but Curbeth made this so much easier. Her patients and loving nature made her feel like part of the family. I know that any family she works for will receive the best support ever.
