Before I went to Jade's childbirth class at Montclair BABY, I had never heard of a doula. Her class was holistic of all the options during labor and delivery, and my husband and I felt like Jade could be the perfect support person to ease my anxiety during pregnancy and labor. We were absolutely right. Jade offered continuous comfort and information for me throughout my pregnancy. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and gave advice for things I hadn't even considered. Being someone who has always been terrified of childbirth, Jade eased my anxiety leaps and bounds. We prepared for it beforehand, but once I went into labor, Jade supported us over the phone and at my home before we went to the hospital. My birth went from something that I used to fear, to something I now look back on with fond memories (I think that's a wild transformation) and I truly credit a lot of that to Jade. She was an advocate for me at the hospital, she rarely left my side except when I needed alone time with my husband, and she encouraged me. She worked cooperatively with the rest of the birth team. Dare I say birth was actually a little fun? I whole heartedly recommend Jade as a doula and would love to have her at my future births. There really aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am for her.

Hi New Parents & Returning Parents, My name is Anjanette Rebecca. I’m birth obsessed & I finally have the courage to admit it. I’m a little of a lot of things. I’m a full spectrum doula who supports families and individuals across all walks of life. From zygote to 130 years old. Reproductive health is who I am. Bodily autonomy is what I’ve supported since I was a child. I stepped into my mother’s shoes at an early age. My mother was the original reproductive health guru. My mom passed away before I had time to say goodbye. Grief became the catalyst that changed my life for the best. I meet Individuals and families that are kind enough to trust me with something so sacred. That will always be one of the biggest blessing in my life. I’ve cared for thousands of clients locally & internationally. My ultimate goal is YOU. Your family, your very valid fears, your tears & your happiness. I guide expectant families and individuals in embodying their role as the first teacher in their children’s life. Our body is our children’s first home, it will and always should be respected. Dads, that includes you. Your little one finds comfort in your presence before they’re even born. Your voice and kisses will be one of your child’s favorite things. My business & my baby, Birth & Beyond, NYC is an extension of my family; fellow educators like myself, with a combined 206 years of supporting vulnerable populations in New York City. In October 2026, I will celebrate 26 years in the healthcare industry, 18 years as a registered nurse. It’s an honor to be a part of birth, an intimate time for families to come together. I navigated my first pregnancy alone-there’s so much power in being a single parent too. I’m here to hold individuals & families through one of the most breathtaking and potentially chaotic moments of their lives. Parenthood is a massive upgrade and a heroic space to hold. Please don’t let the internet scare you. It scares me! But we have access to so much information. It is normal to feel overwhelmed by it. I pray that you enter pregnancy & your birth space with confidence. Tap me in if you need someone to kick the door off its hinges, metaphorically speaking of course :) As for me, I’m a Brooklyn native, currently enjoying life in Staten Island, NY. I spend most my time having juicy conversations, tending to 179 indoor plants, barefoot & not pregnant :) I spend time off social media, reading books and finding myself in nature. Currently a scuba diver who tried free diving for the first time in 2025. I’ve swam with sharks & I'm here to tell the story. Background: I offer virtual birth & postpartum doula support, Lamaze childbirth ed, Spinning Babies classes, babywearing education, prenatal & postpartum mental health assessments & continued support, trauma informed & culturally aware care, placenta encapsulation, somatic music therapy, reiki & early intervention referrals. I am a mama of 2 (of the best children), my womb held three. My arms held 2 older children too. At 24 years old I was in charge of a 6 person household & I pray I will never see math homework again. I began my second degree in nursing 6 months after having my son. My rainbow baby. With struggle comes expansive gains. Christina was absolutely amazing throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. She was always available when I needed her and made me feel incredibly supported and cared for. My birth ended up being very traumatic, and having Christina there as a source of comfort and support meant more to me than I can express. She continued to be there for me postpartum as well, always checking in and answering my questions. I’m so grateful she was part of my journey and would recommend her to any expecting mom.

Hi! I'm Lorraine. I'm a doula and lactation counselor. I'm also the founder of Repose Postpartum, a postpartum care company that focuses exclusively on recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding. I've worked with about 300 families throughout NJ and NYC over the past 8 years. I encourage you to think of yourself as the CEO of your home, and to bring in a doula as a postpartum consultant who will help you navigate their new normal and help you start their parenthood journey on the right foundation. That looks like: • Ensuring that your physical and mental health is prioritized, as it's the foundation for your family's unit • Translating newborn care into systems that actually support rest and recovery • Guiding you on how to better understand and respond to your baby's cues and behavior • Providing breastfeeding counseling so that you can feel more informed and supported on how they feed their baby • Educating you on the intricacies of newborn sleep, and helping to implement gentle and realistic sleep routines. I accept most benefit programs offered by employers. I'd love to learn more about how my team and I can support you during the early postpartum period.

Caitlin comes to Doula work from a background in theatre and physiology. She had fought to understand her own body as she grew up with Developmental Dyspraxia. However, what she always thought of as her greatest weakness, has turned into her greatest strength over the years. As a child every time Caitlin learned a new physical skill she had to break it down step by step for her brain to fully understand it. This gave her a great understanding of human physiology. She applied this understanding of the human body to help numerous clients while working as a personal trainer at Blink Fitness and New York Sports Club. Throughout her life Caitlin was always struck by the distrust of the human body when it came to birth. She had always been fascinated by/or even in awe of birth. During her own journey to having children she finally realized what she wanted to be when she grew up. A Doula. It combined her deep understanding of physiology with her desire to empower people to trust their own bodies, no matter what the birth plan. Caitlin took her DONA training in summer of 2021 and finished the DONA certification process at the end of 2022. Caitlin already has a wide range of experience when it comes to birth. Areas she experienced with include, home birth, hospital birth, birth center care, unmedicated birth, Hypnobirthing, preeclampsia, planned and emergency C-Section, pregnancy resulting from fertility treatment, induction, married and unmarried partners, interracial couples, parents with disabilities, pregnancy with special diets (Vegan, Gestational Diabetes, Kosher ect.) "My goal as a doula is to facilitate a positive birth experience for the growing family, whatever that birth experience may look like. I am happy to work with families with all different types of birth plans, backgrounds and family preferences. It is my strong belief that a Doula should be accessible to all birthing people regardless of gender, sexuality, race, disability, faith, or socioeconomic background."

Hi Everyone, I'm Ashley, a Afro-Dominican & Puerto Rican mother to a 15 year old boy and a Certified Full Spectrum Doula and Lactation Counselor. Throughout my career, I have had the honor of supporting over 55 families and counting during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey, helping them navigate all the transitions of bringing new life into the world. My passion for supporting families during this transformative time began when I experienced the birth of my own child. I realized the profound impact a skilled and compassionate doula can have on ones birthing experience because although I wasn't able to have a doula for my birth, I was able to teach myself and those supporting me the role of a doula during birth, which allowed me to achieve all of my birth goals. Through this passion, I have dedicated myself to supporting families through their pregnancy, birth and postpartum in a way that is personalized, empowering, and non-judgmental. I believe in creating a safe and nurturing space that allows families to make informed decisions and feel supported throughout their process. My approach is grounded in evidence-based research and tailored to the needs of each family. I provide emotional, physical and advocacy support as well as evidence-based education and access to resources you may need to help encourage a positive and fulfilling birth and postpartum experience. I am committed to continuing my education and professional development to ensure that I am providing the most up-to-date and effective care possible. Whether you're planning a home birth, hospital birth, or a birth center delivery and/or you're just looking for postpartum support, I am here to support you every step of the way. I look forward to the opportunity to help you achieve your ideal birth and postpartum experience.
