I have served the birthing community for over 30 years. Fertility Support Trying to conceive can feel like waiting for answers your body isn't giving you yet. I help you get to know your cycle - what it's telling you, when you're actually fertile, and what's normal versus worth asking a provider about - so you feel like an informed participant in your own fertility, not a bystander to it. My focus is natural, at-home conception through cycle tracking and fertility awareness (the FEMM method), and I also support families pursuing IUI, IVF, or surrogacy when that's the path that fits. Birth Support Ava Dickson and I work as a team, because we believe you shouldn't have to hope the right doula is available the night you go into labor - you should already know both of us, and trust both of us. You'll have us together at every prenatal visit, with direct, ongoing access to both of us throughout your pregnancy. We alternate on-call weeks, so whichever of us is with you at your birth, the other is your backup - meaning the person supporting you already knows your story, your preferences, and your fears, because we built your care plan together from day one. We work alongside your medical providers, not around them, to help you understand your options, advocate for yourself, and feel calm, confident, and fully supported through labor and birth.

My name is Marika Brown, and I am a Jesus-loving Christian mom of 7 living children and 4 babies in Heaven. I am a DONA-trained birth doula. My background includes a B.A. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Evangel University. I have been homeschooling my children for 13 years and recently graduated my oldest child, while my baby is approaching his second birthday. My journey to become a doula had been years in the making, starting with the birth of my own first child and instantly wanting to learn as much as I could about pregnancy and birth. I have always loved listening to other moms' stories about their births and babies. With my own back-to-back pregnancies and newborns, the time had not been right to pursue professional training to be a doula, but I knew it was something I wanted to do "someday."
