Anyone wanting to feel confident and supported in their birth experience I highly recommend adding Victoria to your team. We used Victoria as a doula for our second daughter and from the moment she was hired, access to her vast knowledge base brought so much comfort. She provided a listening ear, and a safe place for talking through my goals and fears surrounding birth. I appreciated her low pressure check ins from an experienced mom who understood the ups and downs on pregnancy. I was in prodromal labor for weeks and though there were quite a few false alarms, I never felt like burden. Including on our daughter’s birthday, we really had to fight to keep my body in labor. Victoria had continuous suggestions and kept us encouraged the whole 14 hour day. Her reminders of my goal to birth without interventions, affirmations that I was strong enough to do it and the untiring counterpressure were instrumental in me having the birth experience I wanted. She also captured beautiful photos and video of the day, did a newborn shoot, encapsulated my placenta, and to go above and beyond; surprised us the next day with a little birthday cake she baked for our new little girl. Everyone deserves a Victoria!

Our experience with Marlo as our doula was fantastic and a huge help with transition from one to two kids. She is a great person to also ask for advice for baby related questions as far as feeding and sleep. Marlo is kind and loves babies and children. :) She is detail oriented and always had notes and information for the hand-off in the mornings. I recently reconnected with Sage and she asked me to post a review, since I was the very first birth she ever attended. Sage wasn't a doula when she was there for my kids births, she was just a friend who had given birth before, and who offered to support me when I was young, inexperienced and alone. I had a boyfriend, but they were his first kids too and we were both scared. Between us asking her to be at the birth, and me going into labor the first time, she learned so so much about birth and postpartum and taught me so much. I didn't go to a birth class but I felt way more prepared one she started sharing what she'd learned. When the time came, and I was in labor, I told her and she drove from Atascadero to San Diego, made the 6 hour drive in 5 hours, and was with us for the hardest part of the birth. I still wonder if I could have done it without her help and I really don't think so. Having her there with me was so helpful that I even asked her to be there for my son a few years later, and asked her to go to a friend's birth as well. I'm really glad that she's doing this now, even if it took her 15 years before she decided to do it. I'm so glad we reconnected and I could share this, and I'm so proud to be the very first birth she attended and supported.
