How Much Does a Midwife or Home Birth Midwife Cost in Olympia, WA?

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

Bethany is truly such a gem, and I genuinely don’t know what my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience would have looked like without her. I went through my pregnancy without the support of a partner, and having Bethany by my side made such a huge difference in my experience. She was so kind, caring, warm, and genuinely supportive from the very beginning. Having her with me at appointments made me feel like I wasn’t navigating everything alone, and during labor, her presence brought me so much comfort. She supported me, helped advocate for me, and made sure I felt heard and cared for during such an important and vulnerable time. What makes her even more special is that her care never felt like it was simply a job. She genuinely cared about me, my baby, and my family. She was so sweet and loving with my older children and made them feel included and comfortable throughout the experience as well. Even postpartum, she continued to show up with the same warmth and thoughtfulness, whether that was checking in on me, supporting me as a new mom again, or even showing me how to make nourishing meals. I feel like I gained a lifelong friend in Bethany. I will forever be grateful that she was part of this chapter of my life, and I appreciate her more than I could ever fully put into words. Any family lucky enough to have her as their doula is getting someone incredibly special. I cannot recommend her enough.

Joy was one of two night doulas that we used for the first six weeks of our twins life. Having her in our lives was invaluable, so much so that we extended her contract 2 weeks further than originally planned. She is knowledgeable, skilled and easy to talk to. She provided us with basic tips about baby caring and twin caring when asked, and showed immense skill and love when handling our newborns. We had her for 9 hours every night, which meant that I got lots of sleep but also someone to debrief the day on, and look for tips and improvement. She seemed genuinely happy to arrive every evening, and she cared for our babies as if they were her own. Her calming presence set us at ease, and the babies seemed to always be calmer with her as well. We have told many other pregnant friends about her skill, but recommend her to anyone looking for a night nurse you can trust.

Nori was the whole reason my birth experience went as smoothly as it did. Not only did she prepare me and my husband for what would likely occur, but she prepped us beforehand with research behind the decisions that are made during these moments. This was so unbelievably smart and helpful to discuss beforehand, so we didn’t have to make any hard decisions during labor. Nori also provided such a comfort, not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. She helped my husband learn ways to help me manage labor pains, paid attention to what sort of environment I preferred, and even took photos of us with our newborn. I can’t imagine not choosing Nori!

Ace helped prepare myself and my husband for natural labor as I was hoping for a vbac. The techniques she showed us helped relieve pressure in my back in the last couple of weeks. This was my second baby and I knew nothing ever goes to plan. I ended up having a repeat c section. I went in for my 38 week appointment and was told baby was coming the same day. I messaged ace and she was able to make it and be there with us. I had a horrible experience with my first c section and having the extra support there helped me get through it and it was a dar better experience than my first. I won’t be having anymore kids but if I did, I would definitely hire Ace again as my doula. She was amazing in every way possible.

Ayden My Birth Doula was an absolute lifesaver throughout my entire birth journey. From our prenatal visit to postnatal support, she was incredibly informative, knowledgeable, and always on time. I worked with Heng Ma for six weeks after giving birth, and it was one of the best decisions I made for my postpartum recovery. Heng combines incredible skill with deep wisdom from traditional Chinese postpartum and newborn care. She taught me hands-free breastfeeding positions and how to nurse or pump while lying down. They are total game changers for a tired new mom! She also cooked delicious Chinese postpartum meals that not only tasted amazing but truly helped my body heal faster. Every day, she gave my baby a full body massage, and I’m sure it made a huge difference. My baby never had colic or constipation issues. Heng’s care, knowledge, and kindness made me feel supported, understood, and confident as a new mom. I can’t recommend her enough!

Working with Jen was one of the best decisions I made for my birth. From the start, she brought a calm, confident, and grounding presence that felt so reassuring. She took the time to understand not just what my birth plan was, but why it mattered to me (which I think made all the difference when things didn’t go exactly as I originally hoped). Throughout pregnancy, she stayed in close contact and was always available when I felt worried or confused. Her guidance through the confusing days of pre/early labor and her arrival as soon as we needed more support made me feel really cared for. Jen interacted effortlessly with the medical team and brought up helpful questions I wouldn’t have known to ask (monitoring, IV placement, positioning especially during pushing). Between preparation during prenatal meetings and Jen’s encouragement and advocacy during my birth, I was able to stay confident and really be in the moment when my baby arrived. I can’t imagine going through pregnancy and birth without her.

Amina is literally the best and choosing her as a doula was one of the best decisions i’ve made. Her vast experience made my birthing process positive. She is very humble and honest. She stood and helped me throughout my delivery and calmed me down during labor pains and made my vaginal delivery possible. I would highly recommend her if someone is looking for a perfect doula.
