I have been serving families as a lactation consultant and nurse (Registered Nurse, Texas Woman's University 1995) for over 25 years and as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for the last 15 years. I love helping families transition into parenthood with a holistic view of breastfeeding as a piece of parenting. My goal is to help families meet their goals for feeding, whatever that may look like, and to bring healing and wholeness into that process. I have advanced training in tethered oral tissues and oral motor function. I help, not only with positioning and latch, but optimal feeding at breast and bottle, including bottle refusal, pumping and flange fitting, and supporting weaning or long term breastfeeding. I am trained in cranio sacral therapy and Mindful Breastfeeding. When I am not loving on babies their families, I enjoy reading, hiking, gardening, and spending time with my family. My husband and I have two adult sons, and a teenage daughter.
