“I’m an IBCLC and Certified Nurse Midwife with an independent practice providing both full-scope midwifery care and comprehensive lactation services across hospital and community settings. My lactation work spans the full clinical spectrum—from establishing breastfeeding in the immediate postpartum period to managing complex feeding challenges such as low milk supply, delayed lactogenesis, post-cesarean lactation, and infants with dysregulated feeding patterns. I have extensive experience in detailed newborn oral evaluation, including identification and functional assessment of anomalies such as ankyloglossia. I integrate these findings into individualized care plans and frequently collaborate with interdisciplinary providers for frenotomy when indicated, as well as provide structured pre- and post-procedural feeding support to optimize outcomes. My approach is evidence-based, highly individualized, and focused on measurable outcomes. I prioritize effective milk transfer, protection of maternal supply, and long-term sustainability of the breastfeeding relationship. My care plans often incorporate structured supplementation strategies—including the use of supplemental nursing systems to maintain feeding at the breast—alongside selective, clinically appropriate use of galactagogues. I place strong emphasis on ongoing reassessment and adjustment to ensure interventions remain effective. I also have experience supporting higher-risk dyads, including late preterm infants, NICU graduates, and cases involving maternal endocrine or perinatal factors impacting lactation. Working across both inpatient and community environments has given me a clear understanding of care transitions and the gaps families encounter after discharge, allowing me to provide more cohesive, continuous support. My midwifery background strengthens my ability to assess the full maternal–infant dyad and identify contributing factors early, supporting more efficient and durable lactation outcomes. I’m confident practicing autonomously and value strong collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, with a consistent focus on delivering practical, clinically sound, and patient-centered lactation care.”

Hi there! I’m Jalisa Burton, co-founder of Divine Birthing Services and a proud Full Spectrum Doula and Certified Effective Black Parenting Educator. Supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond is more than what I do — it’s who I am. For me, this work is a divine calling, one that allows me to help parents feel safe, respected, and deeply supported during one of life’s most powerful journeys. My approach is rooted in compassion, education, and empowerment. I believe every parent deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for in a way that honors their values and choices. Whether it’s offering emotional reassurance, sharing evidence-based guidance, or simply holding space, my goal is always to create an environment where families can embrace birth with confidence and peace of mind. Before stepping into birthwork, I proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard, where I learned the importance of service, resilience, and standing strong for others. Those same values now shape how I show up for families — with steady support, calm presence, and unwavering dedication. Beyond birthwork, I’m a wife and mom of three, which means I know firsthand the joys, challenges, and transformations that come with parenting. I love exploring new places, trying new cuisines, and making memories with my family. I’d be honored to walk this journey with you. Let’s connect and create a birthing experience that’s sacred, supported, and uniquely yours. 💫Reach out today — I can’t wait to meet you! 💫

I provide calm, restful nights for your family and thoughtful care for your newborn. Hi, I’m Mona, founder of Global Doula Care, a multilingual postpartum doula providing overnight newborn care throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Your baby needs care around the clock—and you need care, too. My goal is to share the nighttime workload so you have more opportunities to rest, recover from childbirth, and enjoy your growing family. A background that shapes every detail of my care Alongside my postpartum doula training, I hold a qualification in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management, have worked as a Spa Director, and spent 20 years as Vice President of a rehabilitation and cancer center. These experiences have shaped my hospitality, organization, attention to comfort, and respect for each family’s culture and preferences. I speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and Indonesian, with conversational Vietnamese. CPR and safety training I hold an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification, which includes infant CPR and is valid through September 2027. Liability insurance I carry professional and general liability insurance for my doula services through August 23, 2027. My professional liability coverage is $1 million per incident and $6 million in aggregate. Vaccination record I received Tdap (whooping cough) and the 2025–2026 seasonal flu vaccine on September 20, 2025, and MMR on April 19, 2024. My records also include pneumococcal (PCV20) and shingles vaccinations. I’m happy to share documentation privately upon request. How I support your nights: • Feeding support, diaper changes, soothing, and settling • Guidance on safe sleep practices • Practical breastfeeding support, although I’m not an IBCLC • Cleaning feeding equipment and keeping feeding and diaper records • Bringing baby to you for breastfeeding and handling care afterward so you can return to rest sooner • Comfortable feeding and changing setups to reduce unnecessary bending and reaching • Nutritious postpartum soup and drinks through my optional Nourish & Rest package Support tailored to your recovery After vaginal birth, you may be managing soreness, tears, and discomfort while adjusting to newborn care. After a C-section, you’re also recovering from abdominal surgery. With twins, two babies’ feeding, changing, and soothing needs add to the overnight workload. For initial care planning, I suggest: • One baby after vaginal birth: 1–2 months • One baby after C-section: 1–2 months • Twins after vaginal birth: 1–2 months • Twins after C-section: 2–3 months These are flexible booking suggestions, rather than fixed medical requirements. We tailor your plan to your recovery, babies’ needs, available family support, and budget. Why consider five nights per week? Consistent overnight support gives your household fewer nights to cover independently. Over eight weeks, five nights per week provides 16 more supported nights than three—more opportunities for rest, practical guidance, and reassurance as you build confidence. When breastfeeding or pumping, you may still need to wake. I handle the surrounding care so you can return to rest sooner, following your clinical team’s feeding guidance. Dedicated overnight care, including families farther from home Based in Rowland Heights, I travel throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties, with some commutes totaling approximately two hours round trip, depending on location and traffic. I drive a Tesla Model Y and use its supervised driving assistance to help reduce commuting stress while remaining attentive and responsible for driving. I protect my daytime sleep so I can arrive rested, attentive, and ready to care for your baby. I specialize in overnight care and do not alternate between daytime and overnight shifts. Rates and booking: • One baby: $65 per hour • Twins: $85 per hour • Overnight shifts: 8–12 hours • Minimum commitment: five nights per week • References available My doula services provide nonmedical support alongside your obstetric, pediatric, and lactation teams. I’d love to hear about your expected arrival, preferred schedule, and what would help your family feel most supported. I had the pleasure of having Mona as my Postpartum Doula for three weeks~ She was very responsive in the initial screening and checked all the boxes I was looking for in my postpartum care and more. I wish she could have supported us longer, but she had another family to work with after our agreed time. Mona assisted us with a variety of care. Mainly newborn care, maternal postpartum care, postpartum meals, and housework pertaining to care for mom and baby. Mona is a wonderful postpartum doula! She has experience and knowledge that definitely shows up in her care. She is easy to talk to and communicate with. As a first time mom, I was unsure of a lot of things, but she provided a lot of useful information about recovery, schedule suggestion, and baby care. Mona is very knowledgeable in nutrition and TCM practices too. She knows how to handle and read baby's cues and needs. She is here to support you and baby! She is very intentional and sweet in all that she does. I am so glad I found Mona, having her support outside of my partner was such a luxury!
