Hi, I’m Genesis, a DONA Certified Birth Doula, CD(DONA), serving Miami-Dade and Broward County , and providing support in both English and Spanish. I believe there is no one “right” way to give birth. Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, epidural, induction, VBAC, or cesarean birth, you deserve evidence-based information, compassionate support, and a birth team that respects your choices. Over the past year, I’ve supported 20 births across South Florida, including unmedicated and medicated births, inductions, cesarean births, and successful VBACs. Every one of those experiences has reinforced something I deeply believe: good doula support isn’t about achieving a particular type of birth. It’s about helping you feel informed, supported, respected, and confident throughout yours. As your birth doula, I provide continuous labor support, birth education, emotional and physical support, comfort measures, breathing and positioning techniques, partner support, and guidance as you explore your birth options and preferences. My role is not to make decisions for you, but to help you feel prepared to make informed decisions that are right for you and your family. As a Latina mother myself, creating a space where families feel seen, heard, and understood is especially important to me. I also love involving partners and family members, helping them feel confident and prepared to support you throughout labor rather than feeling like they have to figure it all out on their own. Hello! My name is Marcela and from a young age I’ve felt a calling to help those who cannot speak for themselves, this is why I initially became a Veterinarian Technician. After enjoying that field for many years I wanted to specialize in OB/GYN sonography. Plans were put on hold as I welcomed my blessing. During my pregnancy I took all sorts of classes to prepare for birth, but, when it came to the hospital, things didn’t go as planned and I was stripped from my birth rights ! I never want another mother to feel the way I felt or be treated the way I was. Every woman deserves to feel empowered, supported and loved throughout their pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and lactation journey. How would you like to welcome in new life? I receive my education by sitting at the feet of, and training with, midwives across may different pathways of midwifery (such as CPM, TM, CNM, and LM). These wisdom holders carry over 10+ years of experience, and I have had the honor to travel globally from Ghana, West Africa, the Caribbean's, South Florida, and Georgia, USA, to immerse myself in learning the most optimal prenatal and postpartum care, as well as serving families, from them. The commonality within pregnancy and postpartum care however has been the centering of the mother's mental, emotional, and physical heath, the well-being of baby, and the communal nature of birth and postpartum itself. When choosing me as part of your care team, you are also choosing a team of three: two trained birth and postpartum care providers (myself included) and a certified Chef- because it takes a village. Hi there! I'm Nicky Dawkins, I am a full circle doula, hormonal health coach, womb practitioner, and herbalist based in Miami, FL. I have been working in women's health as a doula for over 10 years. In addition to doula services, I offer yoni steaming and placenta encapsulation/art. I work with women and families from menarche (your first period) to menopause and everything that happens in between. I have a deep passion is to help people have a healthy period, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience with as little intervention as possible. I specialize in supporting women with uterine health conditions (fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS) infertility, twins/multiples, and families who have experienced pregnancy and/or infant loss.
