The cost of a night nanny in Pleasanton, CA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Pleasanton, CA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Hello, I’m Fabiola—a mother of four and proud grandmother of two sweet baby boys. I am a certified Doula, with a master’s degree in East-West Psychology, along with certifications in Ecopsychology and Resilience Leadership from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am a retired medical social worker, with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. While I had the opportunity to work in many areas of the hospital, the most meaningful and rewarding part of my career was supporting expectant mothers in OBGYN, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. In 2023, I founded my doula practice as a way to bring together my professional experience, educational background, and integrative approach to maternal wellness. My work is centered on supporting the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I cannot recommend Fabiola enough! From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, sweet, knowledgeable, and supportive. She was always so responsive over text and incredibly easy to reach whenever I had a question or needed reassurance. What I appreciated most was how open-minded and spiritual she was. She truly listened to me, respected my wishes, and never once pushed her own opinions or beliefs onto me. I always felt heard, supported, and safe in her care. One of the most valuable things she gave me was the use of meditation and visualization to help me stay calm and visualize a successful delivery. This ended up being incredibly helpful during labor. I experienced extremely intense back labor, and even with an epidural, I could still feel the pain. At one point, my heart rate became dangerously high, and using the meditation techniques she had taught me helped me calm my body, regulate my breathing, and get through some of the most difficult moments. She brought such a calming, reassuring energy to my birth experience, and I truly believe her support made a huge difference. I am so grateful to have had her by my side during such an important and vulnerable moment in my life. If you are looking for a doula who is compassionate, knowledgeable, respectful, spiritually open, and genuinely invested in your experience, I highly recommend her! ❤️

As a Registered Nurse, Certified Sleep Consultant and Certified Postpartum Doula with more than 23 years of full -time night experience, my goal is creating confident parents. Caring for more than 250 newborns has given me a wealth of experience in transitional care of babies into family life. This is accomplished by establishing successful feed/sleep routines, teaching calming techniques and answering the myriad questions that would be in a manual if babies came with one. This enables everyone to get much needed rest much sooner than is typically experienced in this scenario. As a Certified Sleep Consultant, also known as "The Sleep Angel" I also assist families who have not had the benefit of my guidance from the beginning of life with their baby. Tackling issues of sleep disturbance/interruption in older infants/toddlers with gentle, supportive techniques results in peace in the home environment that only sleep can provide. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your little one!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with Kathy. She has been our sleep coach for both of our children, and her experience, wisdom, and calm presence made all the difference. She truly is a baby whisperer. What we appreciated most was how she met us exactly where we were as parents. She never offered a one-size-fits-all approach—instead, she listened, understood our family's needs, and provided thoughtful, practical guidance with a lot patience and kindness. She's incredibly gracious, insightful, and genuinely cares about the families she works with. We always felt supported, encouraged, and confident knowing she was in our corner. We're so grateful for everything she did for our family and recommend to parents looking for compassionate, expert sleep support.

Hello! I’m Naoko. I am a Japanese-trained midwife, birth and postpartum doula, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, and mother of four. Before moving to the United States, I worked as a midwife in Japan, supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I have continued supporting families as a doula with compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized care. My approach is centered on the person giving birth. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported in making decisions that are right for them and their family. I draw on both my medical knowledge and my personal experience raising four children to provide practical, compassionate, and individualized support. I welcome families of all backgrounds, races, cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations, including LGBTQ+ families. I support a wide range of birth preferences and experiences, including unmedicated birth, epidural birth, induction, VBAC, and cesarean birth. I also offer childbirth education, breastfeeding and lactation guidance, prenatal yoga, and bilingual support in English and Japanese. My goal is to help each family feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I reached out for support because I was feeling really anxious about attempting a TOLAC. I wasn’t sure if I should go for it, but after having many honest conversations, I felt completely heard and supported. That helped me make a decision I truly felt good about. On the day of my delivery, she came right away. Her bright encouragement and Naoko’s calming presence helped me shift from fear to confidence. In the end, I had a successful VBAC, and it turned into the best birth experience I could have hoped for. I’m so grateful I chose Naoko’s support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a TOLAC or VBAC.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Leticia as our night doula during these first weeks with our newborn. Looking back, I honestly don’t know how we would have gotten through this postpartum journey without her. What really sets Leticia apart is how much she genuinely cares about our baby and our family. We can tell that she takes care of our baby with so much patience, gentleness, and love. She is attentive to his needs and treats him with warmth, care, and professional knowledge. It feels like our baby can always calm down immediately in Leticia’s hands. Knowing that our baby was in such good hands allowed us to truly relax when Leticia was here at night. That peace of mind is something we cannot put a price on. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, calm, reliable, and dependable. Her communication is also exceptional. She is clear and precise, but never cold or clinical. We always felt completely comfortable asking her questions, no matter how small or repetitive they might have seemed. We really appreciate how approachable and generous Leticia has been with her guidance and how willing she is to answer all of our questions. We are so grateful for everything she has done for us and for our baby. Leticia is truly outstanding at what she does, and I cannot recommend her enough. My name is Rebecca Garcia and I am thrilled you are seeking out a Doula for your journey. I have a strong energetic pull towards this life changing work, and I am so honored to be pursuing my passion as a birth worker. I love all things birth and feel that my strongest assets are listening, empathy, providing resources and cooking homemade meals for others. I tell all my clients, if there is a birth I am there. With all the stigma and negative depictions in the media surrounding birth, I want to ensure that my clients feel secure in all their decisions without any judgments. This Is Your Body, Your Birth & Only You Get To Make The Decisions That Works Best For You & Your Baby. I have two spirited little ones of my own; ages 4 and 6. I had doulas for both births and feel as though they made my birthing journey undeniably memorable. They feed me, hit pressure points during labor, loved me, educated me and most importantly encouraged me to find my voice and strength. These are the experiences I wish to provide to my future clients. I have experience in homebirths, birth centers & hospital settings. I understand that ones birthing journey is a sacred space, and wish to only support and offer any resources that may help aid in this time. If you are interested or just want to connect and talk anything birth, postpartum or baby please feel free to reach out. I am located in San Francisco and I am extending my services throughout the surrounding Bay Area. Virtual Options Also Provided

Rebecca was very thorough in the education she provided to us as first time parents in the lead up to the birth. There were 4 in depth sessions which were really appreciated and learned tons during. It alleviated some nervousness around giving birth. During the birth, she came over just before the baby was born at the hospital and gave me a massage and really helped advocate for my wishes as predefined in the birth plan (which she helped me develop). After the baby was born, we had a few additional sessions with her. She brought over bone broth, did a baby massage, and really made the day special for me with a tray of yummy treats. Additionally, she did a closing of the bones ceremony. It's really when i realized that in becoming a mom I went through a transition and a change that was more than I really understood pre-birth. I remain super grateful to Rebecca for the wonderful care she provided me during our time together. Thank you for all the training and education prior to the birth and in taking care of me post partum. I wished I had more time with her!

My path to postpartum work began with my own experience as a new mother of twins. I know firsthand what it means to be undone by those early weeks — the exhaustion, the emotion, the strange beauty of it — and I know what a difference it makes to have someone steady beside you. That's what I'm here to offer. For most of human history, new mothers were surrounded by community support for weeks after birth. That's no longer the norm — but it doesn't mean the need has gone away. It just means most families are navigating this time without the help they were always meant to have. My approach is relational, responsive and practical. I bring genuine care, capable hands-on support, and a deep reverence for this time in your life. I believe the postpartum weeks deserve to be more than just survived. With the right support around you, they can be something you look back on with real tenderness. That's what I want for you! I'm a certified postpartum doula trained through Cornerstone Birthwork, a twin mom of 6-year-olds, and someone who finds meaning in the everyday practices that sustain life — good food, unhurried presence, and a little humor when it's needed.

It is with great joy that I recommend our postpartum doula, Kelly Franson, www.daymoondoula.com. We hired Kelly to support our family for three months postpartum as we navigated life with our second child. Kelly began her work with us the day we came home from the hospital. We walked into a home full of flowers, homemade tea blends, beautiful snacks, warm porridge on the stove, and a bedroom prepared for rest and care. Over the days and weeks, Kelly became my companion; she listened as I processed my birth, navigated breastfeeding challenges, and learned how to care for both a toddler and a newborn. I was fragile, and she was steady. She is a creative thinker, helping two sleep-deprived parents find more ease in our home, whether through practical support (how to set up our space more effectively) or more nuanced guidance (how to support our toddler through such a significant transition with the arrival of a new sibling). Other words that come to mind when I think of Kelly are patient, warm, present, reliable, wise, and funny. What better qualities to have alongside you in the postpartum period? With her, I was not alone. Because I now have two postpartum experiences to draw from—one without Kelly, and one (thankfully) with—I can clearly see the tremendous value she brings to the intense and beautiful fourth trimester. Please message me if you have any questions!

Kim is great! We hired Kim as our birth doula and had a wonderful experience. - She's super knowledgeable & experienced-- with her prep sessions, I didn't feel the need to do any additional birth prep classes and I felt informed & empowered going into my birth. - I really trusted her to help us navigate choice and make good decisions that were medically safe & aligned with our preferences. This was a huge stress reliever for me-- it let me avoid sifting through endless info on the internet. - She helped bring my partner in to the birth experience and supported both of us throughout. - She worked flawlessly with the staff at UCSF. Kim felt like a trusted member of our medical team. This was especially nice when hospital shifts changed or when we needed help weighing options. - Her support during the birth itself was exactly what I needed, from physical comfort measures to brainstorming options to emotional support. We had a wonderful birth and Kim's support was a big part of that. Can't recommend her highly enough.
