Hello! My name is Oksana Ellenbrook, and I bring 23 years of experience as an OB-GYN to my role as a doula. With a passion for birth and a deep understanding of both the medical and emotional aspects of labor, I am committed to empowering women and helping them feel confident and supported during one of the most significant moments of their lives. I speak both English and Russian, allowing me to connect with families from diverse backgrounds. My approach is centered around collaboration – I believe that a strong partnership between the woman and her doula can create a positive and empowering birth experience. Whether you’re navigating a hospital birth or a more personalized setting, my goal is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way. Together, we can work towards a joyful and successful birth that honors your unique journey. I look forward to being a part of your birth story!

We found Oksanna in early 2026 and feel so lucky to have come across her post. We used a night nanny with our first daughter and knew we'd want one again after such a great experience, but Oksanna was even better than the person we had before. She was flexible, started as soon as we needed her, and worked around our hectic schedules. Thanks to her, the first four months with our new daughter were enjoyable instead of stressful, and we could rest easy every night knowing our baby was in diligent, capable hands. Oksanna was an OB/GYN surgeon in Russia, where she ran entire floors of obstetric, neonatal, and pediatric patients. As physicians ourselves, my husband and I knew her level of competency was far beyond what one newborn requires. She is vastly overqualified for the job, and it shows. Even more special, her expertise is matched by the warmth and love she gives a child who isn't her own. I often found her singing Russian lullabies to soothe our daughter. Our daughter has slept through the night since she was four months old, and I truly believe Oksanna had a lot to do with it. We can't recommend her highly enough!

Families often tell me they feel more confident, more rested, and more grounded within our first weeks together. I met Mary when she practiced in Arizona and quickly turned into more than just a service provider, but a friend as well. She’s helped me through the pregnancy and post partum of all 4 of my babies and I couldn’t ask for a better support person by my side. Even from Texas, Mary was an absolute saint even just with listening through my temper-tantrums while being pregnant and guiding me through labor-prep. I seriously have her and her alone to thank for such an amazing birth and post partum 4 times now. I seriously recommend her if you’re looking for someone to feel more like family than a service.

I am based in Kirkland, Washington, and provide compassionate, respectful, and hands-on support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, helping parents feel confident and supported during one of the most meaningful transitions in their lives. I offer both daytime and overnight support for newborns, premature infants, and their families during the postpartum period. My services include evidence-based newborn care, emotional support for parents, infant feeding guidance, healthy sleep foundations, and practical assistance to help families feel confident and well supported as they adjust to life with a new baby. Families often describe me as reliable, calm, and attentive. I strive to create a warm, organized, and judgment-free environment where families feel supported and confident in their routines while following current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for safe sleep and newborn care. Eunice is supporting us as a night doula for our newborn, and she has been incredible from the very beginning. In those first couple of weeks, she not only cared for our daughter but also helped us fine-tune feeding amounts, adjust timing, and better understand our baby’s cues. Her guidance made such a difference. Our nights are now much more restful, and our daughter (now two months old) is sleeping more consistently and becoming more independent. Eunice is dependable, communicative, attentive, and truly attuned to our baby’s needs. Our little one is always happy to see her and continues to sleep more regularly through the night. We truly would not have enjoyed this newborn stage as much without her. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done for our family.

I believe birth is not just a medical event — it’s a deeply personal, transformative experience, and the way you are supported matters. As a birth doula, my role is to provide steady, evidence-based support while centering you: your preferences, your intuition, and your sense of safety. I support families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period with calm presence, clear information, and compassionate advocacy. Whether your birth unfolds exactly as planned or takes unexpected turns, you deserve to feel informed, respected, and supported every step of the way. I work with all birth settings and outcomes — hospital births, unmedicated or medicated labors, planned or unplanned cesareans — and I meet each family where they are, without judgment. My approach is grounded in current evidence, emotional attunement, and the understanding that there is no “right” way to give birth — only what is right for you. Clients often tell me they feel more confident, less overwhelmed, and better prepared after working together. I aim to be a steady presence you can lean on — someone who helps you understand your options, supports your partner, and creates space for you to stay connected to your body and your baby. If you’re looking for a doula who is calm, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in your experience — I would be honored to support you.

I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Olena. As first-time parents, there were so many unknowns, and having someone so knowledgeable, calm, and compassionate by our side made such a difference. During labor and delivery, she was exactly the presence I needed. She knew when to step in with guidance, comfort, and encouragement, and when to simply be there and let my husband and me have our moment. She helped me feel grounded during some of the most intense parts of labor and was also an incredible support to my husband, helping him know how to best support me. What stood out most was how deeply she cared. I never felt like I was just another client. She was thoughtful, attentive, patient, and completely present throughout the entire experience. Having her there gave both of us an added sense of confidence and comfort during one of the biggest moments of our lives. Looking back on the birth of our baby, I’m so grateful she was part of it. I would recommend her without hesitation to any expecting family. She will always hold such a special place in our birth story. ??

Laine Ferguson

Hi, I’m Laine (she/her)! I am a full-spectrum doula, plant lover, and mom of two incredible little humans. My own journey - welcoming my first child in 2018, experiencing pregnancy loss, and later giving birth to my second in 2023 - deeply shaped my path and passion for birth work. Both of my births were supported by wonderful doulas, and their steady presence inspired me to offer the same kind of care to others. As your doula, I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to help you feel nurtured, empowered, prepared, and cared for - no matter how or where you choose to give birth. I love working with new parents and growing families, and I hold space for the wide range of emotions and transformations that come with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My approach blends compassionate emotional and physical support with practical tools like childbirth education and baby wearing guidance. I’m also passionate about birth photography and love capturing the beauty and power of labour, birth, and those magical first moments together. Through my practice, I offer in-person Labour & Birth Doula support, Childbirth Education, Birth Photography, and Birth Equipment Rentals for families in Nelson, BC and across the West Kootenays. I also support families from afar with Virtual Prenatal & Childbirth Education, 1:1 Virtual Birth Planning, and options that make doula care more accessible when local support just isn’t available, or financially do-able. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me tending to my plants, playing up at Whitewater, or keeping up with life alongside my two kiddos. Certifications and Trainings: Maternal Support Practitioner – Full Spectrum Doula Training (Bebo Mia) Essence of Birth Photography (Birth Becomes You) Childbirth Educator Training (Bebo Mia) Advanced VBAC Doula Certification (The VBAC Link) First Aid & CPR-C/AED (The Lifesaving Society) IPAC Training (Provincial Infection Control Network) I’m also an approved provider under BC’s Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program, meaning my services may be eligible at low-cost or no-cost. The Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program (DAFGP) is offered by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres, Provincial Health Services Authority, and the BC Ministry of Health. The goal of the program is to increase healthy birth outcomes for Indigenous families by removing the cost barrier to accessing doula services.

Neha Chinchanikar

Hi there! I am Neha, a birth and postpartum doula based in Sammamish, WA. My path to becoming a doula was shaped by my own births and medical experiences at Northwest Hospital, Swedish Issaquah, and Virginia Mason. I know the power of a doula because I lived it twice, whose presence completely transformed my experience. She was the anchor that kept me grounded, providing the safety I needed to trust my body. I know that even the most empowered birth can be followed by a challenging recovery. My own postpartum transitions were marked by the reality of Postpartum Anxiety (PPA), a difficult breastfeeding journey, and a 5 finger diastasis recti that required patience and dedicated healing. These challenges were humbling, but they were also my greatest teachers. My Commitment to You: Full-Circle Care: Dedicated support throughout your pregnancy, labor and postpartum check-ins as you settle into your new life at home. Cultural Heart: A deep respect for your family's traditions and a commitment to honoring them from pregnancy through postpartum. Advocate and Empower: Empower you with resources and advocate for your choices in the birthing room.

Neha was a great birth doula. I wouldn't have been able to labor at home without her. She used many methods to help me cope with my pain. She was there from when I just had some cramps. When I texted her my symptoms, she quickly arrived at our home, helped time the contractions, poured ice over my body to distract me from the pain, used essential oils, and help me use the TENS machine. She helped my partner support me by suggesting position changes, feeding, and watering me. She gave me a list of aftercare items that have been very important for my recovery. All I desired for my birth was a quick labor and vaginal delivery, and Neha was essential in making that possible. I am very thankful to her, I wish everyone had someone like Neha to support them during their births.
