Caitlin comes to Doula work from a background in theatre and physiology. She had fought to understand her own body as she grew up with Developmental Dyspraxia. However, what she always thought of as her greatest weakness, has turned into her greatest strength over the years. As a child every time Caitlin learned a new physical skill she had to break it down step by step for her brain to fully understand it. This gave her a great understanding of human physiology. She applied this understanding of the human body to help numerous clients while working as a personal trainer at Blink Fitness and New York Sports Club. Throughout her life Caitlin was always struck by the distrust of the human body when it came to birth. She had always been fascinated by/or even in awe of birth. During her own journey to having children she finally realized what she wanted to be when she grew up. A Doula. It combined her deep understanding of physiology with her desire to empower people to trust their own bodies, no matter what the birth plan. Caitlin took her DONA training in summer of 2021 and finished the DONA certification process at the end of 2022. Caitlin already has a wide range of experience when it comes to birth. Areas she experienced with include, home birth, hospital birth, birth center care, unmedicated birth, Hypnobirthing, preeclampsia, planned and emergency C-Section, pregnancy resulting from fertility treatment, induction, married and unmarried partners, interracial couples, parents with disabilities, pregnancy with special diets (Vegan, Gestational Diabetes, Kosher ect.) "My goal as a doula is to facilitate a positive birth experience for the growing family, whatever that birth experience may look like. I am happy to work with families with all different types of birth plans, backgrounds and family preferences. It is my strong belief that a Doula should be accessible to all birthing people regardless of gender, sexuality, race, disability, faith, or socioeconomic background."

My husband and I worked with Jennifer the last trimester of my pregnancy. She always made herself accessible for any questions, and we felt very well supported by her. Jennifer was extremely thorough, timely, and compassionate. She was a master at feeding us information at the right time as not to overwhelm us. My husband and I wound up taking a 6 hour birth class a month before our due date, and we felt so well prepared from Jennifer, that the information in the birth class seemed repetitive from what Jennifer had already instilled in us! The day I went into labor, Jennifer was accesible every moment. She was truly an advocate for us and made us feel safe and connected. My husband and I would absolutely recommend Jennifer to any couple looking for doula. My met several, and Jennifer was truly the best of the best. Thank you Jennifer!!

Destiny Torres

Hi! I’m Destiny, a birth doula who believes every mom and family deserves to feel supported, heard, and empowered throughout their birth journey. Before becoming a doula, I spent over two years working in Labor & Delivery as a phlebotomist, where I witnessed the strength of birthing families and discovered my passion for birth work. I support clients through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period, whether they’re planning a home birth or a hospital birth. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and centered around your unique goals. Outside of birth work, I love hiking, baking banana bread, and spending time in nature. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you welcome your little one into the world.

Throughout my entire pregnancy, I was super nervous and anxious because the thought of actually giving birth and delivering a child terrified me. A doula never really occurred to me as I never really knew what they were, until one of my coworkers who knew I was 5 months pregnant at the time brought up how she knew of a Doula. Destiny really explained to me what they do and the kinds of services a doula can provide, and it really interested me given through what I was going through during the time, . Working with her turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for me and my baby. From the very first meeting to our last, Destiny has been a pleasure to have as my doula and has made this process a lot lighter for me. She is a great person to talk to and ask any question to becuase she makes you feel comfortable and easy to talk to about any birth and post labor concerns. She provided a home cooked meal post labor and it was absolutely delicious ! But most importantly, she made every effort to ensure a safe space , and a memorable labor. when it was that time and I truly don't think it would've went the way it did had she not been my doula. Even after my son was born, she continued to check in on me, trying to just make sure I was adjusting well emotionally just as much as physically and that's how I know that she's someone who truly cares and has a love and passion to what she does. That meant so much to me because most people only focus on the baby and just forget about the mother lol, but she never forgot to remind me that the mom was just as important. More people would benefit from the services of a doula, especially her. If you're looking for someone who will treat you like family, I couldn't recommend her more. She is exactly the kind of person you want besides you during such a life changing experience.

When I found out I was expecting, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. I knew I wanted support during my pregnancy and birth, but I wasn’t entirely sure what that would look like. After some research, I decided to hire a doula, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. From our first meeting, my doula was a calming presence. She not only helped me prepare emotionally for labor, but also educated me about my options, answered all my questions, and helped me feel more confident in my choices. During labor, she was a steady source of support, guiding me in each choice . Having a doula made my birth experience so much easier and lovely . I felt respected. Thank you for everything ??

Her passion for childbirth began in her birthing her four children within five years and learning the amazing power of the mind, soul, and body in physiologic birth and thereafter. Becoming a DONA trained Doula has given her the professional skills and resources to help other birthing people and their partner(s) awaken and tune into this power. As your Doula, she is honored to hold space for you and meet you where you are along your reproductive journey. She will provide emotional, informational, and physical support and hold your hand as you learn to advocate for your preferences in what is the most personal and sacred time in your life. By encouraging you to feel confident, fully supported, in control of your choices, and well equipped with the tools and comfort measures, her goal is to help you optimize any path your birth takes. She especially wants to do all she can to educate the community about the power of birth support, increase access to these evidence based services, and work with BBIPOC and trans and queer birthing people who often experience trauma and inequitable care along their gestational journey. As a Latinx Doula, she is a strong proponent of reclaiming and honoring the cultural roots of birthing communities and their traditional practices. Elizabeth is bilingual in Spanish.

Elizabeth is absolutely amazing! We used her for our second pregnancy, which really says it all. After having such a great experience the first time around, there was no question that we wanted her by our side again. She is incredibly responsive, always available to answer questions, and provided guidance and support around the clock throughout the pregnancy. She was a huge help to my wife, but also to me as a husband. Having someone knowledgeable, reassuring, and supportive there whenever we needed her made such a difference. I cannot recommend Elizabeth enough. Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, I would highly recommend having her in your corner. We are so grateful for everything she did for our family!

My journey into birth work began at 21, when I supported my mother through her pregnancy and cesarean birth. Years later, I had the honor of supporting my sister through the births of my nieces. These experiences, along with my own three empowering and pleasurable births, sparked a deep calling to support other women and families through the transformative experience of birth. My perspective on birth shifted profoundly through the Orgasmic Birth Practitioner Program and Debra Pascali-Bonaro’s film, Orgasmic Birth: The Best Kept Secret. It became more clear to me, the powerful connection between birth, sensuality, love, and pleasure. This inspired me to share a different vision of birth: one that moves beyond fear and centers trust, connection, choice, and the body's innate wisdom. At Yes Doula, I believe every woman deserves to feel informed, supported, and empowered to make choices that reflect her needs and desires. Whether you are preparing for an unmedicated birth, a VBAC, an epidural-supported birth, or simply seeking a more connected and conscious birth experience, I am here to support you without judgment. I offer personalized in-person and virtual birth and postpartum support, meeting families where they are and providing care that fits their needs. From prenatal preparation and continuous labor support to newborn care guidance and the adjustment to life after birth, my goal is to help you feel supported throughout your journey. I also believe that partners deserve to be informed, included, and empowered. Through education, birth preparation, and partner support, I help families approach birth as a shared experience. How I Can Support You Birth Doula Support: ~Prenatal education, birth preparation, and personalized birth planning ~Emotional, physical, and informational support throughout labor and birth ~Comfort measures, breathing, movement, positioning, and relaxation techniques ~Support navigating your options and communicating your preferences ~Partner preparation and guidance Postpartum Doula Support: ~Emotional support and space to process your birth experience ~Newborn care guidance, including soothing, sleep, and daily rhythms ~Feeding support for breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle-feeding ~Practical, hands-on help as you settle into life with your baby ~Light household assistance related to baby care ~Support for partners and siblings as your family adjusts ~Help creating a calm, nurturing environment that encourages rest and recovery As a wife, mother of three, and lifelong caregiver, I understand that every birth and every family is unique. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with Marissa. From the very beginning, she was always there for me, answering all of my texts and calls whenever I had questions, concerns, or just needed reassurance. As a first time mom, having someone so knowledgeable, supportive, and caring by my side made such a difference. She helped me create a birth plan that reflected exactly what I wanted and made sure I felt informed and prepared. She guided me mentally as I prepared for a natural birth, while always allowing me to make my own decisions without any judgment. She supported my choices and empowered me to have the birth experience that felt right for me. When contractions started and I went into labor, she was nothing short of amazing. She remained calm, professional, and knew exactly how to help me through every moment. When I felt overwhelmed or like I couldn’t do it anymore, she reminded me of my strength and talked me through it. She held my hand when I needed comfort, helped position me in different ways to encourage labor to progress, and advocated for me whenever I needed her voice. She was also such a huge support for my husband. She helped him understand what was happening throughout labor and guided both of us through the process with confidence. During a time that can feel scary and unknown, especially as first time parents, she made us feel safe, supported, and prepared. I trusted her completely and felt so comfortable in her care and with her advice. She played such an important role in helping me have the birth experience I hoped for. I would highly recommend her to everyone I know, and I will absolutely be using her again when it’s time for baby number two!

Could not have went through labor/delivery and early postpartum days without gab. As a FTM going through a journey i didn’t know anything about having gab by my side made me calmer, more informed and eased my anxiety. She walked me through birth plans, dealing with the contractions, helped me latch babygirl from the moment she was out. Between the post partum massage/belly binding, just teaching me how to wrap my baby, how to properly feed her, and coming over just to talk through my post partum feelings, I truly could not have done this without her!!

I can't say enough great things about Jossy. We hired her as our postpartum doula for the first six weeks following the birth of my son. From the moment I first spoke with her, I was drawn to her easygoing attitude and comforting nature - I spoke with a number of doulas, and Jossy was the one I felt most at ease with. The conversation flowed naturally, and it was immediately clear how much she loves being a doula. Even though Jossy was only helping us with postpartum care, she was so sweet in sending regular check-ins leading up to my due date and giving tips and suggestions for issues I was dealing with. When I first met Jossy in person, I immediately felt completely comfortable around her and felt comfortable having her in our home and with our son. She quickly felt like a friend I could confide in and joke around with, which made all the difference in the first few weeks of postpartum. Jossy was so loving and sweet with our son, and it was so clear that she cared very deeply about his safety, wellbeing and happiness. After our overnights, she was always checking in to see how she was doing and offering ideas and suggestions of things to try with him. No matter how tired she was after back-to-back overnights, Jossy always arrived on time and with a smile. She was also so sweet with our high energy dog. Thank you Jossy for everything (and I wish we could have you to help us forever)!

Hi New Parents & Returning Parents, My name is Anjanette Rebecca. I’m birth obsessed & I finally have the courage to admit it. I’m a little of a lot of things. Bodily autonomy is what I’ve supported since I was a child. I stepped into my mother’s shoes at an early age. My mother was the original reproductive health guru. My mom passed away before I had time to say goodbye. Grief became the catalyst that changed my life for the best. I meet Individuals and families that are kind enough to trust me with something so sacred. That will always be one of the biggest blessing in my life. I’ve cared for thousands of clients locally & internationally. My ultimate goal is YOU. Your family, your very valid fears, your tears & your happiness. I guide expectant families and individuals in embodying their role as the first teacher in their children’s life. Our body is our children’s first home, it will and always should be respected.
