Kristen Hunter

10 years of experience

My name is Kristen. I am an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and pediatric Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with over 10 years of experience in hospitals, NICUs, community programs, early intervention, feeding therapy, WIC, and private practice. I currently spend time working in feeding/nutrition therapy for kiddos birth through 3 years old, then see clients for lactation education & support in home and virtual visits through my private practice, The Lactation Mentor. I have a strong clinical background and practice evidence-based care, but in a way that prioritizes your family’s unique needs. As a dietitian, I have had the absolute privilege of walking alongside families through every possible feeding scenario, and I believe this has shaped how I practice as a lactation consultant. I know and deeply believe that every feeding journey is unique, and there is no wrong way to feed your baby if you are given the tools and information to make informed decisions that work for your family. I have an empathetic and therapeutic counseling style, but I’m also a total goofball with a little touch of sarcasm. I never take life (or myself) too seriously, because life is too short to not be laughing! When we work together, you’ll find me making complex topics easy and fun by giving you relatable examples using a teaching style that meets you where you are. I am a fierce advocate and want you to have all the tools you need to be able to advocate for yourself. I know that, for you to be successful at this, you need to make a plan that works for you. I want to empower you to have the confidence to navigate the ups and downs of lactation even long after we’re done working together. I believe you have the right to make informed decisions in a medical system where the odds are unfortunately often stacked against you meeting your lactation goals. That’s where I come in! You’ve got this, and I’ve got you. Outside of my day to day, I am an avid reader, yogi, and artist, and enjoy exploring new coffee shops and breweries with my husband and our dog, where we live outside of Philadelphia, PA.

I cannot recommend Kristen and the Lactation Mentor enough! I struggled so much with my first baby (only made it 4 months breastfeeding - so many clogged ducts/almost mastitis even with 2 local lactation specialists) and was highly recommended by a mom friend to connect with Kristen before I had my second baby. Kristen was the BEST resource and investment for our family and I cannot thank her enough. My husband and I truly believe we have a healthier baby/mom/family because she walked with me to prepare for the hardest season of motherhood postpartum. Her program gave me the tools I needed to prepare before my baby came, but her heart was what walked with me every step. She is the most genuine, passionate, human being, and I am truly honored to know her. Preparation brings peace, and Kristen prepared me to the point where I knew what to do. My goal was 6 months breastfeeding. I am now 15 months and counting breastfeeding my little one! She helped me build my confidence as a mom and became the first in my family to breastfeed (I came from a formula only family). I have a healthy baby and am much healtheir mom, and truly think she’s making a huge difference for so many mamas and babies (alongside Taylor - I was so happy they created a program and wish this was a standard for every mom!) Thank you Kristen! ❤️😭

Megan Weimer

Hi!!! My name is Megan Weimer and I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and the founder of Love & Leche Lactation, serving families in southern Chester County, PA and the surrounding tri-state area. I support families through prenatal and postpartum feeding with a calm, practical, and evidence-based approach. With a background in Industrial Engineering, I bring a problem-solving mindset to lactation care, helping parents understand not just what is happening with feeding, but why. As both an IBCLC and a parent of two whom I breastfed, I understand how personal and emotional feeding can be. My goal is to meet families where they are, honor their feeding goals, and provide supportive, judgment-free care that helps parents feel informed and confident.

Recent review

Megan at Breezy Babies was so helpful with breastfeeding! She brought her own scale to measure baby's weight before and after feeding him to see how much he ate. We discussed tongue tie relief options and breast care to avoid mastitis. She recommended things like breast gymnastics, lymphatic draining, pumping best practices when you have an oversupply, icing, and probiotics for me and baby while I’m on an antibiotic. We have already seen such an improvement with latching and breast comfort. I am so glad I reached out to Megan! And my insurance even covered the visits! Always a plus. I would 10/10 recommend Megan and Breezy Babies!!

I loved my experience with Alisha. From the start to the ending. Talking to her about the pregnancy use to bring me comfort. She gave me plenty of resources while pregnant and after I gave birth. During birth she was extra supportive. Even tho my birth plan did not go as plan she stuck by myself my whole c section and held my hand. 23 hours in labor she kept me calm bringing games and everything to keep my mind calm. I just overall appreciate her and if I ever had another baby I would want her as my doula again. 5 stars isn’t enough to rate her. She more like a million stars. Thank you so much for the experience and the comfort you bought through out the experience. And I appreciate you.

Jennifer Abdul-Rahman

10 years of experience

I’m an RN and IBCLC who believes mothers deserve better information, better support, and better outcomes. My work centers on helping women understand their bodies—especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding—so they can make confident, informed decisions about their health and their babies. I specialize in complex feeding challenges like painful latch, low milk supply, and tongue tie, but my approach goes beyond fixing symptoms. I focus on the physiology, the family system, and the lived experience of motherhood so that care is practical, compassionate, and deeply individualized. Through my lactation practice, education for healthcare providers, and hormone-focused coaching, I help families move from confusion and overwhelm to clarity and confidence. My philosophy is simple: when mothers are given accurate education, skilled support, and respect for their intuition, they become powerful advocates for themselves and their children. My goal is not just to solve problems in the moment—but to equip women with knowledge that serves them for a lifetime. My work exists at the intersection of postpartum, lactation and hormone wellness - I have specialized training in complex feeding challenges including low milk supply, tongue/lip tie assessment and management, and hormone imbalances.

Recent review

It was such a blessing to be referred to Jennifer by my chiropractor. She shared so much information and education on lactation and oral function/ development. Not only have the exercises we’ve learned helped my baby’s latch, but also helped him develop better tongue function effectively avoiding the need to perform a tongue release. I am so happy I found Jennifer!
