In Hebrew, "Qavah" means to wait, hope, and expect. That’s my primary intention alongside the families I serve. I support parents through pregnancy, birth, and those intense, beautiful early weeks postpartum. I'm all about safe, evidence-based care that respects your choices and honors your unique birth journey. I'm here to listen, support, and care for you every step of the way. I've spent over 25 years in women's health, community health, and hospice care. Practicing midwifery has been my lifelong dream. My true passion is partnering with women throughout their entire health journey. After years of working within the hospital system, I chose to return birth to its natural setting: the home. I believe that birth is not a crisis to be managed, but a powerful, transformative experience that deserves time, trust, and tenderness. When I'm not supporting growing families, I'm usually outdoors exploring, whether it be traveling to a new place, hiking a trail, skiing a powdery slope, or out on the water kayaking. At home, you can find me looking up new recipes, baking, or drinking a cup of coffee and enjoying a good conversation.

Our family is so thankful for Bonnie! I felt very safe and supported with Bonnie's calm demeanor and wealth of knowledge . Although this was my 6th child, it was our first home birth. I only wish that Bonnie had been a resource for the prevous births. I cannot speak highly enough of her!

Hi! I’m Jill, owner of Birth Blessings Doula Services, LLC. My interest in becoming a doula started with my first pregnancy and birth journey. I was 29 years old when I became pregnant with my first child, and I quickly realized how much I LOVED everything relating to pregnancy and childbirth. My birth didn’t go as “planned” and my first baby was born via cesarean. As amazing and supportive as my husband was, looking back I realized how helpful it would have been, for both of us, to have non-hospital staff to guide us through our labor and delivery. Someone that would answer questions, help us know our choices in a non-biased manner, remind us of our plan when we needed reminding, and to offer emotional support when our plan took a detour. I knew that someday I wanted to work with pregnant women and families to help in that way. Fast-forward 16 years, four VBACs, and one miscarriage and here I am: fulfilling the calling the Lord placed on my life by becoming a certified doula supporting other mamas! Being a doula isn’t just my job, but my passion! I enjoy learning about all things pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. I am always on the lookout for new training and certifications to expand my knowledge and allow me to better help my clients. It is an honor to work with families in the most miraculous times in their lives. As a birth doula, my goal is to help you feel supported (physically, emotionally, and educationally) and empowered so you can make the best decisions for you and your baby. Having five children, I know firsthand the ups and downs of the postpartum period. As a postpartum doula, I will be there to “lighten your load” while your household adjusts to the wonderful addition of having a new baby. I truly enjoy providing warm, professional support for pregnant women and their families.

After finding out I was pregnant and wanting to be very intentional/confident for what the first 9 months were going to involve, I was fortunate to recieve information through the library about a doula who worked in my area. Elated to have found someone, I reached out to Jill. I met with both Jill and Elizabeth and got to learn more about what exactly a doula is and how they help a mother and her baby (while also honoring and educating the fathers walking this journey as well). First thing was that I saw was not only were these women so incredibly knowledgeable about pregnancy, labor, delivery, breastfeeding, postpartum, ect. they also deeply cared about their clients and look to find ways that ensure safety, trust, and joy throughout the mother's journey-always in the mother's corner. I appreciated all of the information they had and knew my husband would have more comfort moving forward with more education surrounding pregnancy and child birth. Through my pregnancy and labor, I went through really intense pain and had to pivot from what I originally wanted as my "labor and delivery wish". But both Jill and Elizabeth were there with us every step of the way and so encouraging and supportive through it all. Also stepping in at the hospital to ensure that I was as comfortable as I could be, making sure there were no students coming in, making sure I worked with women only, and that my care would be through someone who has done delivery before-things I would have never thought to have asked for in the midst of a very intense labor! But my son arrived after a very long labor, these women not leaving my side, and it was the best day of my life knowing how much work went into getting him here. I will forever be grateful for these two women and the care they gave us, alongside struggles with postpartum and being new (and exhausted) first time parents, to make sure that we felt supported as a new family through it all. I would HIGHLY recommend Birth Blessings Doula for any mama who is looking for sincere care and support in her decision for the birth that she wants.

Being a doula isn’t a job, it’s a privilege! I am honored to be able to assist families in some of the most transformative times in their lives. My approach when working with women and their families is to offer education and encouragement, which in turn helps them to feel confident as they approach and experience their baby’s birth. I provide evidence-based information and listen to what matters to my clients, and then we work together toward achieving their goals. Throughout pregnancy and especially during labor, I provide consistent, calm reassurance and guidance. I began my doula career in 2012 through DONA International and I am a Birth Beautifully Certified Birth Doula, Birth Beautifully Certified Childbirth Educator, and Birth Beautifully Birth Doula Trainer. I am also a Certified VBAC Doula through the VBAC Link, and I am a Certified Postpartum Doula through the Midwifery Institute. With a wide variety of doula experience — including medicated and unmedicated labors, spontaneous and induced labors, hospital birth and homebirth — my knowledge and understanding is put to use to help reduce my clients’ anxiety and increase their confidence. I have a special place in my heart for women suffering with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) during their pregnancies, as I myself have dealt with it five times. I believe the best pregnancies, births, and postpartum experiences happen when women and their families feel supported, and I would be honored to do that for your family.

We cannot recommend Jill enough! She was a wonderful support for the birth of our 2nd baby. If we were having more children, we would have her back in a heartbeat. She listened, guided, supported, and was our biggest advocate. Thank you, Jill!

I wish all pregnant people could experience working with Chrissy. Chrissy took the time to get to know my husband and me, understand what we were about, and provide guidance throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery that suited our unique needs and priorities. Meeting with Chrissy during pregnancy helped restore my confidence in my body after a difficult journey to conception. As my husband and I made choices concerning our birth plan, Chrissy was always willing to provide and discuss multiple perspectives so that our decisions were informed and intentional. When I was in labor, Chrissy ensured that the fundamental aspects of our vision came true—she made it possible for my husband and I to enjoy our experience and not to feel pressured to operate on anyone’s time but our own. She remembered everything that was important to us! And, the photos! The images Chrissy took have allowed us to relive our birth story and the moment when we first met our baby! Needless to say, we look forward to continued care from Chrissy during the postpartum period. Chrissy. Is. The. Best.
