About me

My name is Jessica and I am a certified Birth/Postpartum Doula and Placenta Specialist located in Syracuse, NY. My passion is pregnancy and birth. My own pregnancies drew me into birth work. I am a mom of 5, one being in heaven. My children are between 7 and 15 years old, 2 boys and 2 girls. Three are heavily involved in sports (baseball and hockey) and another loves theater and art. People ask how I fit it all in? I make it work. I love this work and it brings me joy in helping other families. I want to help create a better birth/postpartum period with compassionate care for my families. I have been a doula since 2021 and have attended 70+ births, and I have given postpartum support to 45+ families. I love what I do, and my clients can attest that it shows. Birth is one of the most memorable moments in our lives. I became a doula in order to help my clients navigate the journey through their pregnancy and birth. Consider me your pocket guide to birth. My clients go into their birth with the knowledge and confidence to make educated decisions. I am there to fully support those decisions they make. I am now also a placenta specialist. 5 Moons Doula provides birth as well as postpartum support in Syracuse and surrounding CNY areas. As a birth doula, I assist before labor in helping to create a birth plan and provide you with evidence-based information. During labor and delivery, I provide emotional support and show you comfort measures that your partner or I can administer to help you throughout labor. For postpartum doula support I help new parents navigate the days or weeks following birth, providing support with infant care, breastfeeding, sleep assistance and household tasks. Now offering placenta services as well.

Postpartum Overnight Doula
Overnight support is $325/night. Packages can be created for what your family needs. Let me help you catch up on some much-needed sleep. Caring for your newborn during the night allows you to get the rest you need to tackle the days ahead. Whether you are nursing or formula feeding we work together to get you the maximum rest.
