I love taking a physiology first approach to interventions, meaning that regardless of what medical support you need (or want) during your birth we are setting up your body for success by optimizing it's natural processes. I offer a full online birth course with a physiology first perspective in hospital settings, and we do the work together to adjust mindsets, clear fears, improve our health and baby's positioning, and prepare for the unknowns (including NICU and C-Section). I moved to Salt Lake City from Akron, Ohio in 2018 to get my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet from the University of Utah. While I was studying for my degree, I started reading everything I could find about becoming a birthworker. My interest turned into an obsession and after dancing professionally for a year post-grad, I felt ready to take a break from dance and pursue birth work full time!    As your birth support, I lean on my intuition and learned skills to guide me. Entering your space with a regulated nervous system allows me to tap into that intuition and support you to the best of my abilities. I’ve always been a bit of a “birth junkie,” with a deep love for birth, motherhood, and women’s health. My passion for this work grew as I realized how little many women are taught about their bodies—I love helping women feel informed, supported, and confident during such a transformative time. I also spent 18 months doing service for my church where I learned Spanish, and I love supporting Spanish-speaking families whenever I can.
