Adrea was recommended to me by a friend of a friend, who had used her twice for postpartum newborn care. She is an expert in baby sleep!! Adrea is also very kind, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She did not have availability to help me at night, but made herself available as much as possible during the day so I could get some much needed sleep. So so grateful for her. Highly recommend!!

I grew up with lots of children and babies and had always known I wanted to be someone that helped moms and their sweet babies. Being a postpartum doula and getting to help mom‘s and the family with their new little one is such a joy in my life. My practice creates a judgment-free zone for all parents seeking informational and emotional support. In my free time, I enjoy going to the lake with my family, riding quads, camping and of course playing with my sweet little grandbabies.

I truly can’t say enough good things about Shannon and the support she gave me as my birth and postpartum doula for both of my babies. She is the best support person and an even better advocate. She also made sure my births were the way I wanted them to be. She was even there for my 2nd birth when we were told 4 weeks early I would have to be induced that day. I’m so grateful I got to experience her support with both of my children. If you’re looking for someone who will make you feel heard, supported, cared for, and never alone during your birth and postpartum journey, I couldn’t recommend her enough. ❤️

I am a full-spectrum doula, offering support in reproductive health, birth and labor, and postpartum care in Connecticut and Rhode Island. I love doula work because I deeply value the one-to-one relationships I build with clients, walking alongside them during one of the most important and transformative experiences of their lives. My passion for supporting, educating, and empowering people giving birth comes from my commitment to addressing the maternal and infant health disparities that disproportionately affect Black women. My goal is to help all birthing people—especially Black women—feel confident, informed, and supported by: learning to trust their bodies, learning to trust themselves to make informed decisions and advocate for the birth experience they desire, and receiving culturally responsive, non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. It would be an honor to support you on your birth journey. I work collaboratively with you and your support team to create an experience where you feel confident, informed, and surrounded by care, love, and respect. I have been so lucky to hire Melissa twice as a doula now and I could not recommend her services enough. She is a wonderful advocate for mothers and truly listened to what I needed. She gave me the space to think about what my needs might be and I don’t think I would have known without her there to ask those questions. She helped prep our whole family in a way where I felt so well cared for. For both of the births Melissa was there for, as soon as she walked in I felt a huge sigh of relief. She was there and she had me and my back and I fully trusted her to guide me. We were also fortunate enough to hire her postpartum doulas! We had the pleasure of working with Veronica, Danielle and Bernadette. Everyone brought different outstanding qualities that were a total joy to experience. They went above and beyond to learn about our families needs and fit right in. I trusted all of them with my postpartum care, cooking meals, giving my husband a break and endless sibling entertainment for my bigger kids so I could snuggle in bed with our new baby. I felt so well supported my body was able to heal physically and I could emotionally take space when needed. There was always round the clock care and they were quick to fill our schedule when I quickly realized I needed more support than I had initially intended. I wish all mothers could experience this kind of care.

Families often tell me they feel more confident, more rested, and more grounded within our first weeks together. My approach is gentle but intentional, practical without being cold, and always centered on the well-being of both parent and baby. You don’t have to white-knuckle this season. I’m here to help you feel supported, capable, and cared for. Available for birth, birth recovery, overnight postpartum care, and early newborn sleep support.

I met Mary when she practiced in Arizona and quickly turned into more than just a service provider, but a friend as well. She’s helped me through the pregnancy and post partum of all 4 of my babies and I couldn’t ask for a better support person by my side. Even from Texas, Mary was an absolute saint even just with listening through my temper-tantrums while being pregnant and guiding me through labor-prep. I seriously have her and her alone to thank for such an amazing birth and post partum 4 times now. I seriously recommend her if you’re looking for someone to feel more like family than a service.

Recent review

We had such a great experience working with Maria. My baby started going through the 4-month sleep regression early, and by the time he was only 3.5 months old, his sleep was completely disrupted (awake every hour or so). I also have a toddler at home, so the disrupted nights were becoming really hard to manage and I knew I needed help. What I loved about working with Maria was that she didn’t just give me a sleep plan and send me off to implement it while already exhausted. She came to our home overnight and actually did the work with my baby while I slept. She learned his patterns, figured out what worked for him, and handled his wake-ups, while also teaching me exactly what she was doing and why so that I could confidently take over afterward. Her approach felt very personalized to my baby and our family rather than a generic sleep-training program. The results were incredible. After just two nights, my baby was sleeping through the night. It is now several weeks later, and he still consistently sleeps from bedtime until morning and, if he does briefly wake, he is able to settle himself back to sleep. Having Maria physically there doing the difficult part while I was able to get some much-needed sleep was invaluable. If you are exhausted and struggling with your baby’s sleep, you really do not have to figure it all out by yourself. Maria took an enormous weight off my shoulders, and I would absolutely recommend her.

Hello everyone! My name is Parul, and I’m a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula based in Chicago, Illinois. I’m originally from Mississippi and have called Chicago home since 2009. I’m also a proud mom to a 21-year-old son! My journey into doula work grew from my passion for holistic wellness, mental health, and the connection between mind, body, and soul. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a holistic practitioner specializing in mental wellness and food as medicine, and these passions continue to influence the way I support families today. I believe nourishment, education, emotional well-being, and feeling supported all play an important role in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. I especially enjoy supporting mothers who desire an unmedicated birth and helping them feel prepared, confident, and empowered through education, comfort measures, and holistic practices. I also love incorporating my knowledge of nutrition, Ayurveda, and mindfulness into my work with families. Outside of doula work, I love traveling, cooking, discovering new foods and cultures, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I’m a big believer in enjoying life’s experiences, continuing to learn, and always finding ways to grow both personally and professionally.

I am so relieved and happy that we chose Parul to be our doula. From our first contact, she was extremely responsive, clear, thorough, warm, and supportive in her communication with us. Her knowledge of the birthing process and preparation is unparalleled and i felt so much more confident going into my delivery with her by my side. At the hospital she was an amazing advocate who helped to ensure our birth plan was honored as closely as possible by our doctor. She was also a huge support during the birth when I needed some encouragement to keep pushing. She also spent a lot of time getting to know us personally which helped pass the time in the hospital. Overall I couldn’t recommend Parul more. When we prepare for our next baby I will definitely work with her again!

There are people who do a job, and then there are people who change your life. Dessira is the latter. She entered our lives when our son was born premature and jaundiced. Dessira helped our baby gain weight and, at the same time, provided calm encouragement that helped us become confident parents. That gift is priceless, and I will never forget it. She returned to us when our son was two and stayed until he was six. During those years, she helped us build a nutrition and activity plan. This kept him energized, curious, and challenged--without empty calories or screens. The positive effects of this plan are too many to list here, but the best was his dramatically improved sleep schedule. My son had a mildly rocky transition from nursery school to a TK/K mix to a TK-only class. At the time, I worked 60-70-hour workweeks and cannot overstate the comfort of knowing my son was safe, stimulated, and thriving with Dessira during the day. At night, I was able to be fully present with my son because Dessira handled housework and other distractions that would have taken away from that precious time. She did this without being asked. I'm grateful to her because if she hadn't, I wouldn't have thought of it. Dessira is exceptional with infants and children of all ages. She is calm under pressure because she has a deep well of knowledge and experience to draw from. She prioritizes safety -- the safety of their bodies, of course, and also their minds and hearts. She values imagination and curiosity, and she brings genuine warmth, humor, and fun to every day. Dessira is unique in that she cares for the whole family as a single ecosystem, where the health of all depends on the health of each. She is a wonderful listener, and as she learns what matters to you -- as parents, as people -- she reflects that back to you with encouragement and practical creativity. When I said, "Well, ideally we'd do this, but that's probably unrealistic," her response was, "Maybe so -- but let's talk about it for a minute, just to see." Most of the time, with a bit of creativity and brainstorming, we made it happen. When we didn't, I felt supported and seen, which I found to be equally valuable. It makes a big difference in my life when a smart, energetic person is on my team. I'm better at my job, I'm a better partner, and I'm a better mom. If you are lucky enough to get Dessira in your corner, I am genuinely happy for you and your family to have the kind of support that will enrich your lives.

Now Booking for 2027! I believe everyone deserves a village. I also know that asking for help, especially during the transition to parenthood, is one of the bravest and most vulnerable things a person can do. My role as a postpartum doula is to come alongside families during this tender season, helping them identify their unique needs and supporting them as they grow into their new roles. One of the greatest gifts I can offer is helping families feel more rested, confident, and resourced. I approach each family with care and curiosity, always honoring their culture, beliefs, values, hopes, and goals. By centering your family’s identity, I can help support a home that truly reflects who you are. I have experience working with a wide range of families and circumstances, including addiction recovery, infants with special needs, and sleep support. No two families are the same, and I believe deeply that what works beautifully for one family may not work at all for another. As a postpartum doula, my primary goal is to meet families exactly where they are. By getting to know you and your needs, I can offer thoughtful, individualized support that helps establish a balanced and nurturing home. I try to be a non-judgmental, compassionate presence and someone who accepts you as you are and supports you as you become the parents you hope to be. I aim to be your biggest cheerleader, offering reassurance, practical help, and guidance along the way. At this time, I provide overnight postpartum care exclusively. ⸻ About Me As a mother to a vivacious pre-teen, I’ve experienced both the profound joys and the very real challenges of motherhood. While my kiddo and I are happy and healthy today, our early years were marked by unexpected hospital stays, long periods of solo parenting, and eventually the work of building a successful co-parenting relationship. These experiences shaped me deeply and ignited my passion for supporting families navigating recovery, mental health challenges, past trauma, limited support systems, and complex family dynamics. When I gave birth in 2013, I had no idea postpartum doula support even existed. I believed new parents were simply supposed to figure it out on their own, and if they struggled, it meant they were failing. I now know how UNTRUE and harmful that belief can be. My mission is to ensure families know that support is available, and that they were never meant to do this alone. Before becoming a postpartum doula, I spent more than 20 years working as a nanny and childcare provider and earned an associate degree in pre-education. Four years ago, a friend introduced me to postpartum doula work, a role I had never heard of, but instantly knew was meant for me. Within weeks, I began my training, and I’ve never looked back. I wake up every day feeling grateful to do work that is meaningful, supportive, and deeply aligned with who I am. As a lifelong night owl who spent years trying to fit into a morning-person world, I’ve finally found my calling providing overnight postpartum care during my natural “prime time” hours. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I’ve been happily married to my best friend and biggest cheerleader for over three years. Together, we’ve blended our family with my kiddo and his son. Now that our children are older, we share a passion for travel, curiosity, and fully experiencing the world around us. After years of letting life pass by, I now make a conscious effort to savor experiences (big and small) as they come. My friends and family often joke about my boundless energy and zest for life, and together with my husband and kids, we are always embracing what comes next.

We hired Larah as our postpartum night doula 4 nights a week for the first 6 weeks after our baby was born, and it was one of the best decisions we made. She is truly a baby whisperer. Her ability to keep our baby calm and asleep through the night was incredible, and it gave us the rest we desperately needed. If you're considering a night doula, we can't recommend Larah enough!

I’m Chaya, a DMV native, proud mama of three, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), student midwife, and birth worker with a deep passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My journey into birth work began in 2019 when I earned my CNA license, NRP/CPR certification, and full-spectrum doula certification. I originally entered nursing with the goal of becoming a labor and delivery nurse, but in 2020, I began apprenticing as a student and birth assistant alongside a local home birth midwife. That experience completely shifted the way I viewed birth and helped me develop a deeper appreciation for physiologic, intrinsic birth and the importance of protecting a birthing person’s autonomy. Since then, I’ve continued growing both in nursing and midwifery. I became a Licensed Practical Nurse while continuing my education toward my ultimate goal of becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). I’ve also spent several years working in a local hospital’s Labor & Delivery unit while running Nova Birth & Wellness, which has allowed me to experience birth from both the clinical and community-based sides of maternity care. As a doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, birth photographer, student midwife, nurse, and perinatal advocate, my heart has always been centered around supporting mothers during one of the most sacred and vulnerable seasons of their lives. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of attending more than 200 births in different roles, and every experience has continued to strengthen my passion for this work. While I have a special love for natural, physiologic birth, I believe there is no single “right” way to give birth. Every person deserves to feel informed, respected, supported, and in control of the decisions surrounding their body and their baby. Whether someone chooses a home birth, hospital birth, epidural, induction, cesarean, or an unmedicated birth, my role is to help them understand their options and feel confident in the path that feels right for them. Advocacy is at the core of everything I do. My goal is to create a relationship built on trust, safety, and genuine connection so my clients know they can confide in me, depend on me, and feel completely supported during such an intimate time in their lives. Many of the relationships I’ve formed with families have grown into lasting friendships, which is one of the things I value most about this work. My dream is to become a CNM and eventually open my own practice where I can provide families with compassionate, evidence-based, autonomous maternity care and offer the option of home birth—the same kind of empowering experience I was blessed to have with my own children.

Chaya was amazing for us in the delivery room. My doctors were pushing for a c-section and she stayed respectful of what I wanted while still informing me of my options (Dr's really make it sound like you have no options but what they are suggesting). She advocated for me and made me feel like I had control of my labor. My labor was stalled and I had been at 6cm for a long time and my baby wasn't in the best position. My Dr. wanted a c-section and I asked for just one more hour to see if I progressed any further. All of the Dr's and nurses left the room and Chaya took action. She went and got a nurse to come back and help her put me in different positions to see if we could get me ready. For the entire hour she directed the nurse on which positions they would do and when my Dr came back, I was 10cm with the baby in the correct position. My doctor was actually shocked and so was I! Without Chaya I definitely would have had a c-section (something I was trying to avoid). I am very grateful for her and how she encouraged and informed me throughout my entire pregnancy and labor.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Wis!!! Though she wasn’t physically in my delivery room, she played a big part in my birth. She provided so much information that was not only interesting but very useful. She helped me a lot when it came to advocating for myself as a high risk mom. I had a few situations where I felt uncomfortable about the circumstances around how my child was born but Wis prayed with me and provided valuable resources so that I could make informed decisions about my care. Choosing Wis to be your doula would never be a mistake. The love, the care, and dedication she puts into this is beyond a job. I’ve gotten to know and seen her on a personal level and the fact that she’s back in school so she can continue to learn how to support women and families through such a precious time attest to her passion and professionalism around birth work.

Honestly, 10/10 doesn't even cut it for Soft Landing Postpartum and our amazing doulas, Emma and Cindy. Bringing home a newborn is a lot, but they made the whole transition feel so smooth and manageable. They both have this incredible depth of knowledge and exceptional professionalism, but they deliver it with so much genuine warmth. Whether we had questions about sleep, feeding, or just general newborn stuff, they always had the best advice. Most importantly, the way they loved and cared for our little girl was just beautiful. They felt like a natural extension of our family almost instantly, and we honestly can’t picture our daughter’s life without them in it. We were lucky enough to use them through our Carrot benefits, and the whole process was incredibly easy. If you’re a medical resident with Carrot benefits, do yourself a favor and book them right away. Surviving residency while trying to navigate life with a newborn is no joke, and having Emma and Cindy there to support us meant we actually got to sleep, recover, and feel human. It made a world of difference in helping us show up for our shifts and be present for our baby. We seriously can't recommend them enough!

Hi! I’m Trisha, a postpartum doula with a big heart for babies and the people who bring them into this world. I’ve spent over 15 years caring for little ones and supporting new families, and I truly believe that no one should have to walk this journey alone. Those early days (and nights!) with a newborn can be beautiful, overwhelming, and everything in between. I’m here to be a calm and steady presence, someone who shows up with open arms, a listening ear, and a helping hand. Through Melodies in Bloom Doula Services, I offer both daytime and overnight support. Whether you need extra rest, help with newborn care, or just someone to talk to during a 3 a.m. feeding, I’ve got you. My goal is to support you in a way that feels natural and empowering, like having a good friend who happens to know a lot about babies! You’ve got this… and I’ve got you.

Inviting someone into your home overnight to care for your newborn is an incredibly vulnerable thing, and from the very first time Trisha stepped through our door, we trusted her completely. Even before our daughter Lucy was born, Trisha was thoughtful about checking in as we approached delivery, making sure we felt supported and letting us know she was there for us. That thoughtfulness has continued throughout every part of our time with her. Each night, Trisha starts by genuinely checking in with us and catching up on Lucy’s day - how she ate, how she slept, how she was feeling, and anything else that might be important for the night ahead. And of course checking in on me, which was so appreciated. Then she takes Lucy and gives two exhausted parents one of the greatest gifts you can receive during the newborn stage: a full night of sleep knowing that your baby is being cared for by someone you completely trust. It was the highlight of our (and Lucy's!) day when she pulled in. Trisha has the perfect balance of being incredibly helpful, attentive, and involved while also understanding that she is entering someone else’s home and family during a very personal season of life. She never feels intrusive or too much - instead, her presence immediately makes our home feel calmer. We go to bed knowing Lucy is in wonderful hands and wake up to clean bottles, prepared formula, a happy and rested baby, and the feeling that someone has genuinely taken care of our whole family. Words don't express the gratitude! She is also incredibly dependable. Trisha is always punctual, makes an effort to check in between nights, remembers what is going on with Lucy and our family, and has been thoughtful and flexible when it comes to scheduling. When you are navigating the unpredictability and exhaustion of life with a newborn, having someone you know you can count on means so much. Those details are such a reflection of the level of care and professionalism she brings to her work. I actually had to tell her she no longer needed to text me if she was running 2 minutes ahead of behind, but that's just how effective she communicates. Most importantly, Trisha is THE BEST with Lucy. There is nothing more reassuring as a parent than seeing how comfortable your baby is with the person caring for her, and it is so clear to us that Lucy feels safe and loved with Trisha. She is patient, nurturing, dependable, and truly gifted at what she does. As our contract with Trisha came to an end, we of course loved her so much that we ended up extending her contract - weren’t ready to say goodbye ... and we still aren't! She has become such a special part of our newborn experience, and we will always be grateful that she was there during these early weeks with Lucy. Trisha is truly a gem. We love her, trust her completely, and feel so lucky to have found her. Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have her caring for their baby, and Lucy is especially lucky to have had Trisha caring for her. We've already lined her up for future care for BOTH of our girls.
