Babies are a blessing and childbirth is a miracle! I’ve been blessed with four beautiful children and six beautiful GRANDchildren myself. With my love of babies and the incredible miracle of birth, I found the desire to become a Postpartum Doula. Bringing a new baby home is a life-changing event and integrating that new little bundle of joy into the family can be overwhelming. As your Doula, I will make this transition easier for the entire family. My role as your Doula will also be to provide education, non-judgmental support and companionship. I will offer my expertise in newborn care and breastfeeding support. I will also offer evidence based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills. I will make appropriate referrals when necessary. I am a certified Doula through DONA International. The training I received through DONA increased my knowledge and ambition to offer the nurturing care new moms, infants and families so deserve! Hours for my services will be flexible to meet the needs of your family including overnights and travel. I am current in both adult, infant CPR and First Aid Safety Certifications through the American Heart Association. Also, I am current on vaccinations and Trustline Certified. I have lobbied around repealing antiquated abortion laws, served as an in-clinic abortion doula in two clinics and been involved in policy work and abortion education with an Indigenous led grassroots organization in Northern NM, Tewa Women United.
