Im 19 and recently finished getting my certification as a Holistic Pregnancy and Birth Practitioner. I have been a nanny for a little over two years and I really enjoy the work and kiddos. I started with one of the families while they were pregnant with baby number 2 and was able to offer mom the chance to rest or spend 1:1 time with baby and I really enjoyed it. With my recent training I am hoping to use it and get into become a birth/postpartum doula. I want to offer my services and a lower price while I help with my first births and learn what to fully expect outside of the classroom. I feel more connected to postpartum work and being able to nurture the parents, whether that be pre-birth to “nest” for baby, find meals to prep/cook postpartum, basic housework like dishes and laundry and even some potential grocery shopping for those first few weeks when it’s not ideal to take baby out.
