I'm a New Yorker of Caribbean descent, a tomboy at heart who loves hard, plays sports, and is creative. A former educator, I see pregnancy as sacred community work and my clients as family. Although I am not a nurse, my background includes ER, ICU, medicine & surgery, mental health, rehabilitation, post rehab and sub-acute units. I am also trained as a medication technician which allows me to understand the different types of medications that are given to patients in hospitals.
