I had the privilege of witnessing Tania from Birthing Boutique in action during the birth of my friend's baby at INOVA hospital, and the experience was nothing short of amazing! Throughout the labor, Tania demonstrated an impressive blend of expertise and empathy. She was an invaluable resource, not only for my friend but for the entire birthing team, seamlessly collaborating with the medical staff to ensure a safe and empowering experience. Her ability to create a serene atmosphere amidst the intensity of labor was truly remarkable. What stood out most about Tania was her unwavering support of my friend's choices. She actively listened and ensured that the birthing experience aligned with my friend's preferences, even in the face of unforeseen challenges. In addition, she anticipated needs before they arose and was a pillar of strength during tough moments. Her holistic approach, which included massages, words of affirmation, and breathing techniques, were next level! I would highly reccomend her services!

Nia Speight is an experienced birth worker and certified doula, offering doula support services to birthing, postpartum, and bereaved parents. She’s worked within the family service profession for nine years, first as a college nanny and Registered Behavior Technician in both school and home setting, offering traditional yet personalized support. She also dedicates time advising families who need healthcare referrals, sibling assistance, and pregnancy loss support ⋆。°✩ As a mother who decided to home birth, Nia fully understands the physical, emotional, and informational support parents require, whether they plan to have a medicated or unmedicated birth — she believes BOTH require the same level of mindfulness, decision-making, emotional preparedness and support. Nia enjoys helping parents prepare for their birth by narrowing down on what is most important to them, helping them find their voice, addressing the nervous system and physical body, sharing about postpartum, and more. During postpartum, she offers hands-on support to ensure parents are well-nourished, comfortable, and rested. Mothers can expect traditional care such as meal preparation or body recovery support. Guidance surrounding feeding, newborn care, and routines are shared with both parents. Her hope is to provide care that supports families not only through the present moment but also prepares them for the days and transitions ahead.

Nia was an absolute pleasure to work with. My partner and I felt extremely comfortable with her through the whole pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum process. She was my advocate when I needed the support while in labor (something very important to me) and was beyond informative. She was an absolute delight to work with. I couldn't recommend her enough

You will carry your experience with you for the rest of your life. As your doula and birth photographer, it is my responsibility to support you, advocate for you when necessary, and document the beautiful moments of your birth. I believe that birth is natural and all about trusting yourself, your body, and the process. Erica Harris

My newborn care philosophy focuses on delivering comprehensive and compassionate support to both newborns and parents. My primary aim is to foster a nurturing environment where families feel empowered to excel in their new roles. Ultimately, my approach provides personalized, educational, and non-judgmental guidance, emphasizing safety, emotional stability, and collaborative relationships.

Recent review

Erica was an absolute lifesaver during the first six weeks of both of my children's births. As a newborn care specialist, she didn’t just help with the day-to-day care of the babies; she also educated me as a new mother, easing my anxieties in those overwhelming early days. She taught me everything from proper swaddling techniques to understanding my babies’ feeding cues and sleep patterns, all while being incredibly patient and reassuring. What stood out most was her ability to tune into my needs as a new mom. She recognized when I needed rest, emotional support, or just a little confidence boost. Erica’s approach was gentle and non-judgmental, creating a safe space for me to ask questions and learn at my own pace. Her presence helped me feel empowered, and her guidance has continued to influence the way I care for my children. I truly can’t recommend Erica enough for any new parent. Erica quickly became more than just a newborn care specialist; she is now considered family. Her warmth, expertise, and unwavering support made those early weeks so much easier, and we couldn't imagine those moments without her. If my husband and I were to have more children, we would undoubtedly want Erica's help again. She brought so much peace of mind to our lives, and her influence continues to guide how we parent today.

Birth Your Way maternity services was founded on the importance of providing physical/mental/emotional support, and the knowledge needed to make informed decisions during pregnancy and the labor & delivery process. My goal is to educate, empower, and support mothers, their partners, and even their families, so you feel safe, heard, and confident. As an experienced certified Birth Doula serving families since 2015, I offer personalized support for any gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, etc. I am also a certified placenta encapsulation specialist offering placenta services for your postpartum needs.

Recent review

Second time client of Tias! I first used Tia's services 2 years ago where I was successful with my first medicated VBAC birth. As soon as I received my positive pregnancy test with my third baby, I KNEW Tia was going to be hired again! Even my husband, who was first against hiring a doula, was quick to ask if I already contacted Tia when I announced to him our 3rd pregnancy :) Tia did it again! She was the support I knew I needed for this 3rd birth and with her encouragement and belief in me, I was able to have an unmedicated 2VBAC! According to my husband, this is our last baby haha so I wanted to take advantage of Tia's placenta print she offers. I am so happy I decided on that because Tia made us the most beautiful placenta print which incorporated all three of our children. If another baby were to magically happen for me in the future, Tia will OF COURSE be hired again, without a question! And anyone I know in need of support for their births in the future, I will without a doubt recommend Tia. Thank you TIA!!!

Hi, I’m Gabrielle Taylor. I’ve been supporting mothers and newborns since February 2022, but my passion for women’s health began in my teenage years. I’m a proud mother of two—my children were born in 2017 and 2021. **I have teamed up with Danica Day to bring quality care and support to Frederick and the surrounding areas. You can read more about Danica here: https://www.dawnandduskdoulaco.com/** My first birth, a cesarean, was emotionally traumatic and left me feeling unsupported and unheard. In contrast, the birth of my second child was an empowering VBAC, made possible by the compassionate presence of an incredible doula. That experience was truly life-changing—it showed me the profound difference that informed, empathetic support can make. Now, my mission is to offer that same kind of transformative support to other families. Whether you're navigating your first birth or welcoming another child into your home, I’m here to help you feel confident, cared for, and connected. In today’s fast-paced world, motherhood can feel isolating—but I'm here to bridge that gap so you feel supported. I’m also currently pursuing my nursing degree to deepen my knowledge and enhance the care I provide as a doula. I’m honored to walk alongside you during this pivotal journey.

She is the baby sleep whisperer! Could not say nicer things about Gabby and her gentle care of not only my little guy, but my family as a whole. She truly made my whole postpartum journey so much easier!!

I am equally passionate about nurturing the intimate connection between parents, recognizing that a strong, unified partnership creates a foundation of peace, security, and love for both mother and baby. My philosophy blends evidence-based birth education with a holistic, faith-rooted perspective that honors the body’s design, emotional wellbeing, and the vital role of family support. I strive to walk alongside families in a way that cultivates confidence, connection, and a deep sense of purpose during this sacred season.

I have to brag on how wonderful Gabrielle Wachter is as a very supportive hands on doula. My husband and I were approaching the birth of our firstborn son, and our original birth plan was not going as planned, and she stepped in and helped out more than words can say. It was also very reassuring to know that she believed the same beliefs that we do. And having such a Powerful believing woman is so helpful when unforeseen circumstances happen during labor. My husband and I are forever grateful she was right there with us. Leading up to the birth, during labor and even some postpartum visits. I’m excited to see she is pursuing midwifery care, I know she will do very well! I will recommend her to anyone who is in search of a doula.

Working with Amelia as our HypnoBirthing companion was truly transformative! Over the course of two months in September and October, she guided my husband and me with such kindness, humor, compassion, and grounded presence that after each in-person session, it felt as though we had known her for years. From the very beginning, Amelia created a warm, safe, and engaging space that allowed me to move from extreme fear and uncertainty about pregnancy and birth to feeling calm, confident, and genuinely excited for my birthing day. My husband looked forward to every class, as Amelia gave him tangible, meaningful ways to support me during pregnancy and to be an active, empowered partner during labor. Her teachings not only brought the two of us closer, but also helped us deepen our bond with our baby and equipped us with tools we will continue to use throughout parenthood and in many parts of our personal and professional lives. I am forever grateful to Amelia for sharing her knowledge and expertise in HypnoBirthing. She helped us prepare for the arrival of our baby boy with calm, clarity, peace, and joy and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide on this journey. I miss her dearly but will always take her spirit and teachings with me moving forward. What a gift she is to this world!

I used Natalia’s doula services for labor and delivery of my 2nd baby in july. She was supportive, encouraging, and very knowledgeable during the prenatal appointments which helped me prepare for labor. She helped me design my birth plan during my prenatal and answered all of my questions. I was so proud of my L&D as I stayed away from an epidural until 1 hr before pushing and I couldn’t have done that without Natalia’s support! On top of that she was balancing another mamma who went into labor at the same time, and she always made me feel like a priority. Her prayers over me as I was in active labor were the biggest blessing. I would recommend Natalia to anyone looking for doula care 😊
