I am a 28-year-old Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula from Brazil, with over 8 years of experience as a nanny and 2 years working as an NCS. I came to the USA as an au pair, which gave me the opportunity to develop a deep passion for newborn care. I am CPR certified, NCS certified, and I am currently working towards my postpartum doula certification. My skills include patience, feeding support, and sleep conditioning, all of which I have honed through my hands-on experience. I am dedicated to providing the highest level of care to both newborns and families, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment. I believe that every newborn and family is unique, and my approach to care is rooted in patience, compassion, and evidence-based practices. My goal is to create a calm and nurturing environment where both baby and parents feel supported and confident. I prioritize gentle sleep conditioning, feeding support, and fostering healthy routines that work for each family’s needs. By continuously expanding my knowledge—such as pursuing my postpartum doula certification—I strive to provide the best care possible. I see my role not just as a caregiver, but as an educator and guide, helping families transition smoothly into their new chapter with their little one.

I can’t recommend Rafaela enough! She took care of my first baby during the night, and her help was truly invaluable. As a new mom, I was exhausted, and knowing that my little one was in such capable and loving hands allowed me to finally get some rest. Rafaela is incredibly gentle, patient, and knowledgeable—she has this calming presence that instantly put me at ease. She knew exactly what to do, whether it was soothing, feeding, or simply making sure my baby was comfortable and safe. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy to care for your newborn at night, Rafaela is amazing!

Hi, I’m Nicolette Meinert, the founder of Family In Bloom. I have worked with children and families since 1997, when I completed my first American Red Cross babysitting course. My path in early childhood care began in Wakefield, Massachusetts, where I volunteered in summer-school and after-school programs while attending Galvin Middle School. I went on to study Early Childhood Education at Wakefield Memorial High School. Since graduating in 2004, I have worked as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher and as a full-time nanny, caring for children at many stages of development. I bring nearly three decades of experience, a calm presence, and deep respect for the trust families place in me. Newborn & Family Care My greatest passion is supporting families during the newborn stage and helping parents feel more confident as they adjust to life with a baby. Through Family In Bloom, I provide overnight infant care, postpartum support, newborn-care guidance, and thoughtful care tailored to each family’s routines, values, and needs. I have cared for several sets of twins and understand the distinct needs of multiples and the practical support their families often need. Whether you are welcoming your first baby, growing your family, or navigating a more complex newborn experience, my goal is to offer dependable, compassionate, and safety-centered support. Specialized Infant Experience I hold a special place in my heart for medically complex and premature newborns. My experience includes supporting infants with NG tubes, G tubes, and oxygen needs, as well as premature babies born as early as 30 weeks’ gestation. My commitment to this work grew while caring for premature twins who were born at 30 weeks’ gestation. That experience reinforced my belief that families caring for babies who need extra support deserve skilled, steady, and compassionate care. I work within my role and collaborate respectfully with each family’s established medical team and care plan. Safety-Centered Support Safety is a central part of my work. As an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer and Child Passenger Safety Technician, I enjoy helping families build practical skills and confidence around everyday safety. My approach combines continued education, careful attention to each child, and support that feels encouraging rather than overwhelming. Education, Training & Certifications My education and professional development include training and certification in: Early Childhood & Family Care - Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care infant, toddler, and preschool teacher - CAPPA Postpartum Doula - Newborn Care Solutions Newborn Care Specialist - Infant and Child Training Academy Multiples Care Specialist Infant Safety & Wellness - Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety Technician - Safe Sleep Ambassador - American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer - Medication Technician Feeding & Specialized Infant Support - Infant Feeding Technician - Pediatric Tube Feeding - Oral Ties - Infant Mental Health - SleepWonders Integrative Course for Professionals

Luciana was an exceptional night doula/newborn care specialist and support for us and our son. She has such a warmth about her and a love for what she does, and she is so knowledgeable; she put our new parent minds at ease, and we learned so much from her. She helped us transition home from a prolonged hospital stay, and she went above and beyond, checking in with us during the day as well to help with feeding and sleep suggestions. Would highly highly recommend her, she is the best!

Throughout the 26-year journey of raising my sons, and being a nanny and caregiver, I have gained knowledge, skill and wisdom. I desire to teach, help and support new moms as they “find their inner mama”. I am there to teach new parents how to care for, soothe, breastfeed, read “cues” and feel confident and comfortable in the care of their babies. As a postpartum doula, my desire is for families to ease into the huge life change of adding a newborn as smoothly as possible, whether it’s their first baby or their fifth, since each child holds it own challenge, and the needs of families ebb and flow with a new child. My heart is to support families in a non-judgmental way in all their needs, whether it’s sleep, advice, holding the baby, helping the baby sleep, preparing a nourishing soup, folding laundry, helping you find resources in your local community, or just being a veteran mom who will listen as you process all the emotions of your transition into motherhood.

I don't know where our family would be without Rebekah's postpartum support! On a typical day, Rebekah will watch the baby while I get a good nap. She'll often cook a healthy snack or make dinner for us to reheat later. She is also a baby & breastfeeding expert and has so much knowledge to share. She has so many good tips about everything from nursing positions to diaper changes to managing sleep. Getting through this tough newborn phase has been so much easier with her guidance!

Hi there! I’m Andrea, a Birth & Postpartum Doula, Certified Newborn Care Specialist, CLE and Sleep Consultant with nearly two decades of experience supporting babies and families. My background includes 10 years in childcare and another 10 years in birth and postpartum work, giving me the opportunity to support families through so many different seasons of welcoming and caring for a new baby. Whether you’re preparing for birth, adjusting to life with a newborn, or working through feeding and sleep, my goal is to provide support that feels both personal and practical. My approach is calm, compassionate, evidence-based, and deeply individualized. I believe every family is different, and there is no one “right” way to birth, parent, feed, or care for your baby. My role is to help you understand your options, feel confident making the choices that are right for your family, and provide hands-on and emotional support without judgment along the way. I believe birth and postpartum are sacred, transformative seasons that deserve genuine connection, informed support, and compassionate care. Working with my Andrea was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From our prenatal visits, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance that helped put both my husband and I at ease. During labor, her guidance of comfort measures and steady presence helped me stay focused and confident throughout. She anticipated needs before we had to ask and created a supportive environment for everyone. Even after delivery she stayed with us to make sure I felt comfortable, and cared for in those first moments postpartum.

Marissa Monteiro

Hello everyone! My name is Marissa Monteiro, and I am a trained birth doula proudly serving families throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. My passion for caring for others has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With over seven years of experience in healthcare, my background includes working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medication Technician (CMT), and experience in surgical services, alongside training in phlebotomy and EKG. These experiences have allowed me to care for individuals from all walks of life during some of their most vulnerable moments. As the founder of Mama Rissa’s Birth Garden, I believe that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are more than medical experiences. They are deeply personal, emotional, and transformative journeys deserving of compassion, patience, education, and genuine support. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, empowered, and actively involved in their own care. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free environment where families can ask questions, express their fears, celebrate their milestones, and navigate their experiences with confidence. As a woman of West African and Puerto Rican heritage, I also recognize the importance of culturally sensitive care, representation, and advocacy within maternal health. My goal is not to tell families how their birth experience should look, but to help them discover what feels right for them while providing continuous emotional, physical, and informational support. To me, being a doula is more than a profession. It's an opportunity to build meaningful connections, nurture families, and make sure no one feels alone during one of life's most significant transitions. At Mama Rissa’s Birth Garden, my approach is simple: nurturing families, honoring choices, and supporting every birth with heart. 🤍

I’m a Certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist with more than a decade of experience caring for babies and children. There is so much information and noise surrounding new parenthood, and I love helping families sort through it all and figure out what actually makes sense for them. I don’t believe there is one right way to feed a baby, get through the night, set up a home, or build a family life. I look at your family, your priorities, your resources, your home, and your lifestyle to help anticipate what you might need and find solutions that fit. I offer experience, practical support, and clarity to help you figure out what works for your family. My goal is to instill confidence, support rest, and help your family find its own way forward.

Thank goodness we found Nicole! We received a gift certificate from a friend for her registry concierge service. At first we weren't sure we would use it. But we went for it and she spent several sessions helping us set up our registry in a way that fit our family. We loved it so much that we hired her to come help us set up the house before the baby came, and then contracted her for daytime visits for the first three months of our girl's life! She will always be a member of our clan. Without her, we would have wasted an immense amount of time and money figuring it out on our own and taking energy away from each other and our baby. Thank you Nicole! 💕💕
