Adrienne Leeds

I'm a licensed homebirth midwife serving Boulder, Longmont, the Peak-to-Peak and Northern Colorado. I've been attending births since 2001 and launched my midwifery practice in 2009. I'm an Enneagram 3; Capricorn Sun, Libra Moon & Libra Rising; and Empress Tarot archetype. When I work with families in the perinatal time, we engage in a soul-level contract together. I love holding space as women go deeply within and are transformed by the sacred space of birth. I value informed decision-making, critical thinking, connection, and hugs. Learning and sharing knowledge brings me joy. I'm trained in several Bodywork modalities: craniosacral and myofascial release, and the Arvigo techniques of Maya abdominal therapy. It's a great honor to teach at birth conferences and lead classes & workshops in my community. I bring extensive knowledge of herbs, homeopathy, flower essences and nutritional supplements. Being truly holistic, I also use conventional medicine when indicated. I'm a married mother of two home-birthed and naturally raised children. I'm also an herbalist, gardener, hiker and rollerblader.

Adrienne is an incredible human and midwife -- we are eternally grateful we found her! She is supportive, warm, wise, funny, relatable, patient, knowledgable, and grounded. We had a dream water birth at home! And a great start with our newborn baby boy. We used a different midwife with our daughter and the difference was so vast -- Adrienne made me feel so supported and safe, and I know that helped us have the birth we desired. I also loved all the little touches Adrienne did, like postpartum snack mixes for digestion, the "closing the bones" ceremony at 6 weeks, and the placenta art just to name a few. I wish we were having another baby and that we could work with Adrienne again!

Liz Derry Cox

Hi, I’m Liz Derry Cox, CPM, LM. I’ve been a nurse since 1997 and a licensed midwife and DONA trained doula since 2010, and it has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to walk alongside women and families during pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. I believe pregnancy and birth are normal, healthy life events, and that women deserve care that is both evidence-based and deeply personal. Every family has a unique story, and I strive to make sure each client feels heard, respected, informed, and supported every step of the way. My approach combines the wisdom of midwifery with years of clinical experience. I take time to truly listen, answer questions thoroughly, and help families make informed decisions that align with their values. Whether you’re planning your first baby or have given birth before, my goal is to provide compassionate, individualized care that builds confidence rather than fear. I believe that when women are supported physically, emotionally, and educationally, they are more likely to experience a healthier pregnancy, a positive birth, and a smoother transition into parenthood. It is an honor to be trusted with such an important season of life, and I look forward to supporting your family on that journey. I intentionally limit the total number of families I serve each month across all of my services—including midwifery, doula support, and pregnancy coaching. This allows me to provide unhurried, relationship-based care, be readily available when questions arise, and truly get to know each family I have the privilege of serving. My goal is for you to never feel like just another client, but to feel known, supported, and genuinely cared for throughout your journey.

Liz was absolutely amazing as my midwife during the birth of my first child. Her calm presence and genuine care made the entire experience feel safe and supported. I’ve reached out to her many times since then for guidance on pregnancy, postpartum, nutrition, etc., and she always offers her wisdom with warmth and honesty. In this world where mothers often struggle to feel heard, she has created a special space of comfort, understanding, and compassion ❤️

Ellen Hunsaker

Ellen’s background in psychology, behavioral therapy, and nannying led her to the world of birthwork. While she worked closely with several families navigating the postpartum period, she developed a passion for learning all about birth and felt inspired to find ways to better support people during this time. She completed her training through Peaceful Birth Company. Ellen has a soft-spoken, intuitive nature and can be a strong advocate when needed. She shows up with authenticity to support her clients. Ellen has a deep appreciation for the practice of yoga. She teaches Prenatal, Postnatal and Baby-and-Me yoga classes at Peaceful Birth Company and absolutely loves it! She finds so much fulfillment from seeing parents bond with their babies, nurturing birthing people by supporting their healing (physical, mental and emotional), and creating a safe space in her classes for people to find community and bond over shared experiences. Ellen enjoys helping clients connect more deeply with their intuition by exploring meditation and breathwork. In her birthwork and yoga classes, she strives to center trauma-informed care. Ellen is committed to providing unbiased support for her clients and empowering them in their own decisions for their births. Navigating birth and all of its complexities takes a village and everyone has the right to feel supported, safe and empowered through these experiences. She strongly believes working towards birth justice is of utmost importance, and is honored by every person who invites her into their birthing space. She is beyond grateful to be a part of this work. Ellen can often be found playing soccer, hiking or crocheting. She’s worked as a wildland firefighter and lifeguard, and is happiest when she’s outside or in water. She loves to sit somewhere cozy with a cup of coffee and a good book and she takes so much pleasure in decorating spaces, making them feel inviting and homey.

Having Ellen by our side throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was such a gift. The time we spent preparing for birth with Ellen was incredibly helpful and supportive, leaving us feeling more grounded, informed, and empowered. During the birth itself, her calm, compassionate presence and unwavering advocacy allowed us to feel deeply cared for and supported, while also allowing my partner to be more present in the experience. It is an experience I will forever hold with so much reverence and gratitude. Ellen continued to be such a gift in the postpartum period, offering care and support during a tender and transformative time. We are so grateful for Ellen and the role she played in welcoming our son into the world and supporting our family as we began this new transformative life chapter.

I wasn't planning on hiring a doula, but after attending prenatali yoga classes with Ellen, it became very clear to me that I wanted her support for pregnancy and birth. She is knowledgable, thoughtful, gentle and king. Our conversations before birth made me feel prepared, empowered, and calm. Her advocacy during my hospital birth was so appreciated. I highly recommend Ellen to be a part of birth team!

Working with Ellen gave me deep peace of mind throughout my pregnancy and birth! I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a dedicated doula to advocate for your intentions and support you holistically. Ellen doesn’t have her own vision for your birth experience; she listens with curiosity, helps you articulate your needs, and cultivates space to welcome your new baby in the way that aligns to you and your family. ❤️
