I volunteered to be her doula and signed up for classes the next day. I now know from my own birth experience how important doula support is, I did not have the support of a doula during my covid delivery. A doula would have made all the difference and prevented my epidural. I have been a fulltime Registered Nurse since 2017 with the majority of my background in Critical Care. My career has left me with. I currently work in surgical recovery where most of my focus is on preventing and treating post operative pain through various comfort measures.
