How these prices are calculated

Prices are the rates night nannies and newborn care specialists list on their Bornbir profiles. Birth doula packages are left out, because they pay for labor support rather than nights. So are hourly rates under $15 or over $200, to leave out package prices entered as an hourly rate by mistake.

The Concord figures count providers based within 150 miles once at least 5 of them list prices; below that the page shows Ontario or Canada figures instead. Medians are the middle price, ranges the middle half of prices, and per-night costs assume a 10-hour shift. Figures recompute daily, in CAD.

The cost of a night nanny in Concord, ON can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Concord, ON, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Hi there! I'm so happy you're here. I am a certified full spectrum doula in Toronto. I am so honoured to do this meaningful work in supporting families during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. I have assisted over 300 families, and love seeing you come into your power and confidence as a new family. It takes a village and I am happy to be part of yours. My Doula values stem from a feminist caring approach. It is very important to me that you feel validated and heard and have bodily autonomy while you make informed decisions. I am familiar with hospital policies and your birth rights. Reach out with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

Recent review

Jen was our doula for the birth of our first child in April 2026. We had a wonderful experience with her throughout. She has a very relaxed, reassuring energy. Mama Bear is the perfect way to describe her vibe! Our first 2 meetings were great and she had information about everything we asked (and more!) She also sent follow up emails with lots of resources for us to look through after our initial sessions. In the final weeks leading up to the birth, she was very communicative and checked in frequently. She was very reassuring when I was having concerns and fears, and she really helped me to manage the anxiety I was feeling about childbirth. Jen also helped walk us through making an informed consent document (birth plan), but also supported us when we decided on something different in the moment while I was in labour. During early labour, she came to our home and helped support both my husband and I with various positions, counter pressure, pain management, and decision making. She accompanied us to the hospital, helped us settle in, and came back after I had rested for several hours. She arrived before the birth and was a strong advocate for me with the midwives and hospital staff, and it took a lot of pressure off of my husband (who was already doing so much to help). It was so helpful to have someone who was familiar with the birthing process and hospital by our side for support. Jen's postpartum visit was so lovely! Seeing her again in a relaxed way after such intensity was really special. She held the baby and gave us some tips and advice on what to expect in the coming weeks. I expect we will ask her for some extra post-partum visits once my husband is back at work. What an amazing woman to have involved with our baby's life. We are so lucky to have found her. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for doula support. Thank you, Jen!

Hi there, my name is Emily. I’m a certified postpartum doula, DONA-educated birth doula, and pre- and postnatal yoga instructor in Toronto, dedicated to helping mothers, mothers-to-be, and families find connection, calm, and confidence in their bodies and daily lives. I come to this work from a lifelong love of movement and a deep appreciation for the beauty and transformation of early motherhood. My role is to help you feel informed, cared for, and supported as you prepare to welcome your baby and adjust to life together. As your doula, I’ll guide you through birth and postpartum planning, help you advocate for your needs in labour, and offer comfort through every stage of the process. After birth, I provide nurturing practical care for both you and your baby, including education, sibling care, light housework, meal preparation, and nourishing postpartum recipes (I especially love cooking and baking meals that support recovery and milk supply). My philosophy is rooted in the understanding that physical, mental, and emotional well-being are deeply connected. I integrate nutrition, yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness to help you reconnect with your body and trust your intuition as you move through this tender time. Most of all, I’m here for you, to create space where you can feel held, supported, and at ease as you care for yourself and your baby. My website: https://lunetteperinatal.com

We hired Nadine as our doula after feeling that we needed more support through the pregnancy and birthing process. Nadine was amazing - supportive, experienced and knowledgeable. She provided us with lots of resources, answered all our questions and when it came to the birth, remained calm and provided reassurance when things didn’t go to plan. She also provided invaluable support post birth. I firmly believe that everyone should hire a doula and if you are very lucky, you will find one as great at Nadine.

I’m Kait, a Toronto-based (but very mobile!), DONA International-trained doula who is ready to support you throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond! I have a strong passion for pregnancy, birth, babies, and supporting new parents, and my patience, care, and understanding nature are what set me apart. I will always listen without judgement and be here to advocate for you and your family. Think of me as your pregnancy and birth coach – whether this is your first child or your fifth, I am here to support you similarly to how a personal trainer helps you at the gym, how a wedding planner helps you achieve your dream wedding, or how a tour guide helps you plan your perfect vacation. I will be by your side as you bring your baby into the world whether at a hospital, birthing centre, or in the comfort of your own home. Once baby is born, I will continue to provide you with educational support as well as encouragement and emotional support as you become acquainted with your baby. I am a birth worker since 2012, I have provided a variety of services in a variety of settings around the world. I am located in Toronto, Canada, but I am available to travel for minimum one month commitments. I have worked in Macau & Hong Kong, Manila, Nairobi, Vancouver, and Guadalajara, and have a global perspective on birth physiology and traditions. I provide trauma-informed, and culturally safe care, be it education, lactation support, birth and postpartum doula services, or midwifery care. I’m available as a midwife only where a license isn’t required. My approach is very collaborative—rather than “save” you from unsafe practitioners, I prefer to work with you comprehensively in the prenatal period to be sure you have the environment you need for a peaceful and satisfying (physiologic, if possible) birth. My years and depth of experience and knowledge sets me apart from most locally-focused doulas, so I tend to work well with expats and globe-trotters like myself. My happy place is home in Ontario in the near North, at the cottage that has been a part of my family’s experience for 100+ years. I love all animals but especially dogs, and I ADORE drinking coffee and discussing big ideas.

If you want the best, hire Christy. Where to begin? We LOVED working with Christy. If you’re reading these reviews wondering if you should have her as your doula, you definitely should. Our experience with Christy was nothing short of extraordinary. After the birth, I described Christy to my husband as our angel - as it felt that she magically appeared and blended in, giving just the right level of support and guidance, without being overbearing or intrusive. Her presence felt very natural and she completely put myself and my husband at ease. Christy played a pivotal role in helping me establish breastfeeding, which really helped set us up for success with feeding, and having her there to help with this immediately after the birth was invaluable. After our daughter was born, Christy continued to check in with us, and we felt extremely well looked after. She is clearly an expert both in caring for mothers in the postpartum period, but also in caring for newborns, and her years of experience meant we felt in very capable hands. Her dedication to postpartum care is unmatched, and her deep understanding of the emotional and physical needs of both the birthing person and their partner is truly remarkable. Christy’s passion for what she does shines through in every interaction, and her knowledge in perinatal care is both comforting and empowering. I give Christy my highest recommendation – any family would be very lucky to have her as part of their parenting journey!

I am a Certified Birth Doula whose work is deeply rooted in compassion, strength, and connection. A mother of three, a Certified Hypnobirthing Childbirth Educator, Lamaze Childbirth Educator (certifying), postpartum doula, placenta encapsulation specialist and Social Service Worker, I bring a steady, nurturing presence to every family I support. Whether advocating fiercely for your needs, holding space with tenderness, or wrapping you in one of my famously comforting hugs, I am committed to being a steady, grounding presence as you welcome new life. I believe birth is a normal process that people underestimate their ability in, and hope to be a part of putting an end to fear-based, patriarchal approaches to bringing babies into the world.

Recent review

We had an amazing experience with Nina and cannot recommend her highly enough. Her hypnobirthing classes were incredibly helpful and gave us the knowledge, techniques, and confidence to feel prepared for the birth of our daughter. During labour, Nina was calm, caring, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. She knew exactly when to guide us, reassure us, and help my wife through the difficult moments. As a husband, I also really appreciated having her there—her experience and support made a huge difference for both of us. We are truly grateful that Nina was part of such an important moment in our lives. Thank you so much, Nina, for everything you did for our family!

Hi, I’m Emma, your local birth bestie and birth aficionado! I’m a DONA trained doula based out of Toronto, ON looking to support families throughout their birth journey. My goal is to provide amazing care to each client, tailored to their specific needs. Ever since I was young, I have been passionate about supporting families. Inspired by my childhood dreams of being a early childhood educator, an OBGYN and later a midwife, I have always felt a strong pull towards family care and birth work. In my community, I started by becoming the favourite neighborhood babysitter, then in University I became a loving part time nanny, then moved on to work as a manager of a children’s swim school for several years. Alongside my passion for birth support, I have a deep appreciation for art and creativity. I spent three years working at an art gallery and went on to get my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Painting. Even then, my dream of caring for families never left me, with my passions leading me to run impromptu prenatal education sessions during lunch breaks at work. In May of 2024 I made the exciting decision to take a step back from my art career and focus full time on becoming a doula. Now, I am dedicated to being the best “birth bestie” I can be for my clients by proving them with compassionate care, encouragement, and unwavering support every step of the way.

Words can’t fully express how grateful we are to have had Doris as our birth doula. From the very beginning, she brought such a calming, grounded, and nurturing energy into our journey. She took the time to truly get to know us—our fears, hopes, and birth preferences—and made us feel completely supported and empowered every step of the way. During labor, Doris was an absolute rock. She created a peaceful environment, gently guided me through each contraction, and helped my partner feel confident and involved. Her presence was intuitive and comforting—knowing just when to offer words of encouragement, grounding touch, or simply hold space. She honored our birth plan while remaining flexible and wise when things needed to shift. What stood out most was how she held space not just for the physical birth, but for the emotional and spiritual process too. Her care felt ancestral, like something deep and sacred was being honored. Postpartum, she checked in with such genuine care, offering wisdom, warmth, and reassurance when we needed it most. If you’re looking for a doula who is deeply attuned, knowledgeable, and truly walks beside you in love and respect—Doris is it. She made our birth experience not only beautiful, but transformational
